LAGUNA, Philippines–The destruction that a typhoon caused gave way to the creation of a wooden Belen. Dr. Fernando Sanchez, assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Planning and Development of the University of the Philippines in Los Banos, recounts how the Belen was created.
