I WOULD like to propose a debate between Representative Darlene Antonino-Custodio and Manny Pacquiao on all issues: ranging from the economy to issues regarding overseas Filipino workers, etc.
And then they could talk to the people of General Santos City about their own platforms.
To run for office without direction “ay parang manok na pinugutan ng ulo (is like being a decapitated chicken).”

I guess its too late to stop Pacquiao from joining politics. I don’t think he has the right credentials for the job. Sana he just remained the “People’s champ- the boxer”.

Corruptions starts from the beggining of the campain period. Worst and clear manifestation of corruption in the country is when politicians bribe voters directly. While people are shouting in Mendiola, Batasan, Liwasang Bonifacio to call for justice, proper governance and of course to fight corruption… The sad part is, they didnt know they place a major role in these corrupt system.

When Manny admitted that he was given by GMA PHP8M thru PAGCOR after winning his latest fight, I can’t help but ponder 1) Of all people why GMA is giving government’s money to Manny when he was earning 20x the amount of “Balato” & 2) I think that GMA has no moral & legal right to give government money to Manny for having won his fight. GMA had the nerve to give Manny that much and our sports facilities are in a very very poor condition.

I’ve lowered my standards. If I live in General Santos City, I’m for Pacquiao, the same reason why other people will be voting for a certain Alan Cayetano, who cannot even write a bill to be made into law. Pacquiao, too. But I believe Pacquuiao. I believe he will represent the people of GenSan much effective and productive than his good-for-media-only opponent. We have many party list reps who have really nothing to show to make ordinary Filipinos proud. Instead, we have congressmen and party list reps who are opposition as opposition can be, for the sake of opposition, who have no alternative solution to offer but their self-salivating lust for power. They really are no better than Pacman.
