A ‘trapo,’ too

03/29/07

Posted under Francis Pangilinan, Senatorial Bets

Francis Pangilinan doesn’t care who he pleases and who he condemns, as long as he can get all the votes he can muster, and win.

He thinks that being neither on the administration’s roster nor on the opposition’s is a big plus for him.

“Trapo ka rin, ‘Noted.’” [You're also a traditional politico, "Noted."]

What does the now infamous response “Noted” mean?

It simply means, “I hear you but I don’t agree with you … so forget it… no further discussions”

It is disgusting that even lawyers, bureaucrats, tribunals and people in position who wish to ignore legitimate complaints use this now abused word … “Noted”.

    Truly disgusting.

I feel so sad with the kind of mentality we have as Filipinos, the so called “crab mentality.” Most of the comments above spew hatred and displeasure against Senator Francis Pangilinan, wanting to put him down just because of that infamous word “Noted” during the Erap Impeachment Hearing. For me, that was the right thing for him to do at the time because if you take note of something, you deemed it important for consideration later. Meaning, there was no outright rejection, but the matter was taken into consideration to be treated later. What’s wrong with that?

I do not know Senator Pangilinan personally but majority of the public perception of his personality is that of one who exudes righteousness and decency in his official dealings.

I voted for him because he’s sincere, honest and trustworthy. He’s one of a kind. He’s not a typical politician whose after public’s fund. Its time for our country to move on and shine. We’ve been left behind by our neighbouring countries which is really shameful.

Really?? Who do you think was on these people’s minds when they voted?

    competence - maybe..!

courage - I doubt it! He should have given MR. FPJ a chance to defend himself.. about his allegation against CHEATERS (in fact there was proof after his death..this HELLO GARCI thing..GOD BLESS HIM). Why didn’t he? HE’s AFRAID! ..afraid of LOSING his POSITION, CHARISMA AND POWER because the administration was so powerful that time..NOTED!!!

    character - as OPPORTUNIST???

    compassion - for HIMSELF..??

Now that he’s winning, I’ll look forward to what you believe who he really is since you seem to KNOW him better than we do!

I personally know him, and have followed his sterling performance in the Senate, and believe me, he is one of the few good guys sincerely trying to help our country.

We look at his union with Sharon as a blessing from the Lord to this soon-to-be great nation.

Our nation hungers for better leaders.. leaders of competence, courage, character and compassion for others. If we dare not serve our country in government, let us at least find out who among those in there we should support.

God bless you all. God bless the Philippines!

I think he doesn’t deserve to be in the top 12 senatorial post.. He was given the chance once to run as senator and prove his worth to ADVOCATE TRUTH, PROTECT THE POOR AND MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE, LISTEN TO PEOPLE’S CRY, GIVE JUSTICE TO THE OPPRESS , RESPECT THE “VOICE” OF THE PEOPLE, PROMOTE WELL BEING, ETC. ETC., but he was the exact opposite of LEADER..

What kind of charisma does he have?..or should I say, what did he do to convince Sharon Cuneta-Pangilinan to join him in his campaign and quest for POPULARITY?!!!

Ms. Sharon Cuneta should have run instead..without her, Pangilinan is DEAD..
