Posted under Alan Peter Cayetano

screenshot-alan-cayetano.jpgTHE WIKIPEDIA entry of Genuine Opposition senatorial candidate Taguig-Pateros Representative Alan Peter Cayetano has apparently been defaced. A check on the History tab that shows all the changes that have been made to Cayetano’s Wikipedia entry shows that the defacing was made on May 16.

Under the “Education and other personal information” section, the user added this entry: Allan Peter Cayetano is also known as “Apeng Daldal”, “KSP Musmos” and “Walking Microphone.”

Under “Work Experience,” the user added: Stand up comedian at Laughline (1995-97).

Meanwhile, under “Voting record,” the user added the entry: Walang naisulat na batas. Busy sa papansin sa media. [Did not write any laws. Busy getting the media attention.]

The changes to these three sections were all made on May 16, using the same IP address.

Wikipedia is a user-generated online encyclopedia that anyone can edit. Entries on sensitive topics that are prone to vandalism, or which have been repeatedly defaced, may be locked by Wikipedia administrators so that changes can’t be made to the entry.

allan c’s comment is typical of those who want dictatorial rule. I’m not surprised if he or his family have befitted from the Marcos’ plunder of the Philippines during his 24 year+ rule.

    To Allan C

I have problems with your arguments. We tend to resort to motherhood statements and accusations. I think we can do better than that. Yes, as a Filipino, I deserve Chiz Escudero and Peter Cayetano. As Filipinos, who voted for them, they should represent our interest not the interests of the ruling elites. Thank you, very much for telling us that your yen has more value. That was very very helpful indeed!

I would not trade freedom for anything else. An authoritarian President has to be defined further. Right now, we have a dictator.

Escudero and Cayetano happened to be rich. Is it their fault that they happened to be rich? They happened to be elected and they have to represent our interest. I believe that there are rich people who are capable of thinking to make this country better. Washington Sycip is a very good example. Escudero and Cayetano are rich, fine! Are you saying that they do not have the ability and the heart to represent the marginalized sector of the Philippine society? I will hold my judgment on that for now until I see reasons to say that they cannot. Are they opportunists? Maybe. Right now, between them and Gloria and Mike Arroyo, Escudero and Cayetano represent the better ‘truth’. For now, they represent my feelings about this government. This is what is important. I am not saying that I will not be able to judge Escudero and Cayetano in the future. I can and I am not blind to what is happening. Right now, they are doing what is right for all of us.

peter cayetano as well as chiz escudero are just plain opportunists. para makalibre sa media coverage acuse ng acuse sa 1st family. mga pinoy wawa naman sumakay din, nanalo tuloy. well what can we do, you deserved what you voted for. at least kami happy pag mura peso malaki value ng yen namin.

seriously, people should realized that they were just being fooled by these so called protectors of freedom. Freedom from what? Ano ba nagwa nila in congress? They dont know how it is to be poor kasi mayaman cla. This people would like us to think that they are the only honest people on earth.

I would rather have an authoritarian president than senators na wala nama gagawin kundi magpapogi sa media.

Well, gagong, desisyon means gagong result. Good luck Philippines

    To Pian
I do not think that what Allan Peter did is a waste of my money. He is there in the Senate to represent my interest and it is to my interest that somebody speaks for me and raises questions that I cannot raise because I do not have the platform that he has. Just because Allan ran under the GO slate, it does not follow that he is corrupt like Erap, that is a big leap of a conclusion that I cannot accept. Generalizing Filipinos as “liking underdogs is again not acceptable. I am a Filipino who thinks and is capable of understanding what is going on around me. As an OFW, this government owes me a lot. I am risking life and limb here in Afghanistan and I expect better performance, better behavior, higher morals from those who run my government. Allan Peter, in my opinion is doing a great job and I would like to encourage him to continue doing this.

Allan Peter Cayetano had the guts most of us do not have and I love the guy for that. He knew he would be fighting a ‘monster’ and he took the risk. I think he would have evidence, the reason why he had the courage to expose the other half of the conjugal dictatorship. It is just that he was not given the chance to do that. For an OFW like me, the likes of Escudero and Allan Peter Cayetano prove that there is hope for the Philippines and the result of this election spoke very loudly and articulately what the Filipinos want. Between Mike Arroyo and Allan Peter Cayetano, I will take the latter’s truth as the better truth!
