Arrogance in the midst of triumph?

05/17/07

Posted under Genuine Opposition, Readers' Blog Posts

LIKE every patriotic citizen, am awaiting every update on the national and local canvassing of votes. Am interested not only in those who will barge into the Magic 12; equally important is the “attitude” of the early leaders, tailenders and their supporters.

These news articles from INQUIRER.net caught my attention:

I listened with admiration to this guy as he debated with his counterparts during the campaign trail. I would willingly vote for him if he ran for senator.

However, with these reports, I don’t know if this is reflective of the group he represents.

Is this plain arrogance, a childish reaction or the guy is just tired and has been experiencing a lot of stress lately?

The events that will unfold in the next few days may give us the answer.

PLease dont trash the Philippines just because you didnt get the outcomes you had hoped for. The US and Australia have their own Baho that they should not be proud of- the way they trat non-whites. I am proud to have refused migration to the US because its te country that has kept the rest of the world poor, ignorant and wanting.

“Daig mo pa ang mabahong isda, ang hindi marunong magmahal sa sariling wika!!!We must love our country regardless…Losing hope is worse than death!Im sorry that our country brought so much shame in you,so much so to such extent that you are denying your roots. My friend go out and see the world and you will discover that there is more to us filipinos other than what you see in CNN,FOX,ABC etc.I have lived in 5 different countries including US.I have seen the best and the worse in those “progressive countries” and a learning experience for me as a person, and in the end it made me proud that I am a Filipino and I came from the Philippines!!!
