IF we look at the results of the recent elections, both at the local and national level, I can’t help but see a tiny glimpse of hope budding up.
That is if we have to believe the analysis of the press of the circumstances surrounding these results. We are witnessing an upsurge trend of protest votes not only against GMA, but also against the system as a whole.
If for that alone, there is reason to begin investing our hopes on better politics ahead…

Diego K.Guerrero:
Wag mu sanang isali ang Cebu where GMA cheated in the 2004 election. Cebuanos deliberately voted for her and I think most of us gave one voice to the nation at that time. The opposition’s witnesses presented in the media where drug addicts in Cebu, and they had criminal records. When those witnesses were paid, they were followed by one mediaman and were even reported to have bought drugs for their price. Where is the credibility in that?
I am voicing out as a Cebuano, I would plead that you respect out vote at that time and not brand our clean province as a cheating place. It would be better to brand Cebu as GMA’s bailwick. Cebuanos are just mature voters and does not go for allegations which the opposition cannot support in their presented evidences.

Philippines bogus President Gloria Arroyo has consistent negative trust ratings since the power grab in 2001. In fact she was rejected by the majority of the Filipino electorate in 2004 presidential election. The rubber stamp Philippine Congress proclaimed her the “winner? contrary to massive and systematic electoral fraud in Mindanao, Sulu, Cebu , Pampamga, Pangasisnan and Ilocos Sur. All protest and anomalies by the opposition were merely NOTED by her political allies in the joint congress vote canvassing. The repeat of 2004 electoral fraud is happening in Maguindanao, Lanao, Sulu and Cotabato. The resignation of Comelec Commissionaire Abraham Sarmiento as Maguindanao poll investigator can be interpreted as he can no longer stomach Malacanang’s dirty works. He cannot produce thru hocus focus millions of votes in favor of losing TU bets.
The result of the senatorial race in favor of the opposition reflects the true sentiments of the Filipino people. Filipinos want her out. In her own turf, Pamapanga province two of GMA allies were castigated and rebuked by a crusading priest. Malacanang and the Comelec are desperate to change the outcome of election results in Moslem Mindanao regions thru massive and systematic electoral fraud in favor of Gloria Arroyo’s Team Unity. Evil Gloria Arroyo and her trusted dog Benjamin Abalos are inviting people’s uprising. Rebellion is justified if discredited and abusive government force their agenda against the will of its citizens. It’s not right to send senators in the halls of congress without a popular mandate. Filipino patriots must protect sacred votes at all cost.

A nation fights back? FIghts back against what? Electing new set of politicians who will be same? Who will begin the stealing from scratch? You know how we can fight back? Simple.
Behead those that are corrupt. Get two or three and make examples of them in luneta with full radio and television coverage. That will send a chlling warning to those who will do the same.
That will be fighting back.
Anything else is useless- fighting words but without substance.
And then when the new breed begins their hurakot, we will spend time again writing complaints on these blogs.
