I LIKE best the last paragraph of your editorial especially the second sentence: “the need for vigilance continues…”
I always make it a point to read your editorial everyday when I come to work and that line hit me hardest. You inspire your readers.
I pray people like you will continue to be like you… doing their work with the highest integrity. Thank you.

simple pinoy
To Israel,
Your post is so venomous and corrosive. Reading it, I want to retch. Self-righteous people like you make our country worse instead of better. It is always easy to find fault than praise. That’s the hallmark of typical Pinoy forgetting thatpointing an accusing finger to someone, three are pointing back at him. Whe! Ang Pinoy talaga. Sobrang dunong at linis.

Here’s to renewing the call for “‘Tol” Mike Defensor to really stand tall and make a really “class act”. Come out and expose the government’s participation in the election irregularities. And while you do that, own up to your political intervention in the Sentosa 27 POEA case. That way, you will really be an honorable man. As I said before, who knows, the sovereign people might forgive you of your past sins in government, and will elect you someday to your old post in Quezon City. Or are you just waiting for one year to pass bago ka ibalik ng usurper ng Malacanang sa puwesto? If that is what you are thinking of, Mike, nagkakamali ka, dahil ang taong-bayan, alam na ang tunay mong kulay. While there is still time, rise up to the occasion. Be a real man of honor, if you really know what that means, and perform that class act of telling the world that “you are sorry” for your participation in the irregularities in government.
And to those admirers and supporters of Mike Defensor out there, please tell him that here is a challenge waiting for an answer from him.

Galing mo talaga ‘tol. MABUTI NGA SAIYO!!! BWA.. HA.. HA… goodbye!!!

I had like mike defensor and chiz escudero very much… a true filipino in every aspect… it was a fight like mabini and rizal… and it was always clear mabini would be the hero… not a clouted and stage heroism… hope by his loss he would realize that filipinos need him… not by those who just have the self interest and live by somebody’s shadow and use him… hope he really learned his reason… and better join chiz fight… he is such a great loss from the start in joining gloria… Philippines is no longer rizals’ day.. truth comes out by deeds not by propagandas

Kim
graceful exit or class act as what they call it. “tol defensor is only looking for media mileage, sympathy & publicity. he think he can win the election and when he found out the he can’t win he tried again to go to media to publicize his defeat. mike defensor is like a parrot of GMA who talk too much & criticize too much with his opponents. he’s not deserving to be part of the institution coz he will just look like a popinjay in the senate.
