I LIKE best the last paragraph of your editorial especially the second sentence: “the need for vigilance continues…”
I always make it a point to read your editorial everyday when I come to work and that line hit me hardest. You inspire your readers.
I pray people like you will continue to be like you… doing their work with the highest integrity. Thank you.

Ay naku, for all that its worth and worthless, let’s give Mike his due, compared to eggheads like Pichay and the others who feel they’re going to have their day.

Well vote buying is still here in the Philippines. Next time people should be wise enough in voting because the future of the next generation is in their hands. During election politicians win while people lost.

graceful exit or class act as what they call it. “tol defensor is only looking for media mileage, sympathy & publicity. he think he can win the election and when he found out the he can’t win he tried again to go to media to publicize his defeat. mike defensor is like a parrot of GMA who talk too much & criticize too much with his opponents. he’s not deserving to be part of the institution coz he will just look like a popinjay in the senate.

What class act? Mike Defensor failed to condemn massive electoral fraud in Maguindanao, Lanao and Cotabato. It would have been a class act if he reveals Team Unity’s planned-systematic cheating in Moslem Mindanao regions and return/refund all campaign funds spent at the expense of the government. Furthermore, it’s not too late to become a people’s hero. Mike Defensor should do a Singsong and expose what he knows in the alleged 2004 fraudulent presidential election and denounce bogus President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. I consider this as a ‘classy act‘. Only time can tell.

Class act? Are you kidding me? Mike Defensor deserves to lose. And it is not a class act to accept certain defeat, not especially from a man who as we all know is a witness kidnapper(remember Udong Mahusay?), a liar and a crook! If he could only go public and admit all the stupid things he said and did to favor his favorite president and say sorry, then I might consider it a class act. More better if he could go to jail voluntarily. Low life, thug, jerk and a..hole like him do not deserve a public office. Let’s put him instead to the Gulag of Siberia.
