In fact, the Comelec is paying the storage cost of counting machines at P3.9 million a year until final court settlement. How long? As expected, the Philippine justice system is snail-paced and so in ten years time frame the stored e-machines will be obsolete. The P1.6 billion e-machines are good for junkshop. These morons Comelec officials are not protecting the interests of the Filipino people but the business interests of Mega Pacific. The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee and the Supreme Court had established an anomalous transaction between COMOLEK and Mega Pacific. The Ombudsman made 180 degrees turn and absolves Abalos, et al from liability for the voided P1.3-billion poll automation contract. Big fish criminals are untouchables under corrupt Arroyo regime. Only in the Philippines.

Sana binoycott na lang ng mga GO winning Senators ang proclamation nila ng Comelec to show support of their accusations of massive election fraud….

Mrs. Aquino hit it right by saying that both the goverment and private citizens should act concertedly to solve this perennial problem of “cheating in elections”. We can not pinpoint the sole blame to the Comelec.
The automation of the election is long overdue and it can really help. But cheating does not only involve the counting where some losing candidadates blame some unscrupulous men in the Comelec with. What about vote-buying? Undoubtedly, this comes in various forms before, during and after elections.
If we really wanted to stop cheating per se, we the voting public should also refrain from accepting gifts, allowances or favors of any kind from the politicians or their supporters. We as a people should adopt an attitude of aversion towards what the candidates are offering us, be it in kind or cash no matter how we like or dislike them.
I know it would be very hard for anyone not to be tempted,considering our miserable economic situation, but in doing so, we can honestly claim that we are really doing something to solve this problem and not just complaining about it.

I always thought POLITIC is dirty.

Is there any CLEAN one?

I know this to be out of place. Please bear with me. I just want to create awareness by choosing the busy forum or the latest.
Do consider Dr. Martin Bautista for the next elections obviously (a senatorial candidate of ‘Ang Kapatiran’ together with Adrian Sison and Zosimo Paredes). He’s a 44-year-old gastroenterologist in the US who came home after 17 years. You can see from his background that he truly means service. For those who find him to be a hypocrite for working abroad, do understand he’s a family man who needs to sustain his family, that he will be able to keep his independence by not relying on public funds to support his family. He helps his countrymen in his capacity but it’s just not enough for there are millions of Filipinos. It’s a good start in Philippine Politics to have him and his party around.
I urge you to forward/text/inform all your contacts about them. I believe they only lack exposure that’s why I’m doing this. But I can’t do it alone so I’m appealing to everyone’s help. If all will inform their contacts about them and urge them as well to forward, we might hit a million.
We cannot afford to be indifferent now if we want meaningful change. Otherwise we only have ourselves to blame. BUT TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
