Bedol more untouchable than Garci?

06/27/07

Posted under Comelec, Feedback

CAN the government tolerate this kind of treatment they are receiving from [Maguindanao provincial election supervisor Lintang Bedol] Bedol? Is he more untouchable than Garci [former Commission on Elections Commissioner Virgilio Garcillano]?

Why was he in the Comelec in the first place? Bedol is the kind of person who can mingle with the Muslim rebels anytime he wants because he will always be welcomed by them.

Remember Garci’s attire when he gave himself up to the government? Bedol’s antics qualifies him to be a terrorist. A political terrorist who can do anything he wants as long as he is tolerated and well protected by the “padrinos.”

The question is not whether the government can tolerate this kind of treatment they are receiving from Lintang Bedol? I think the question should be “Why is the government tolerating such a behavior? Who benefits from such display of arrogance?

There is, definitely, a pattern. There is, definitely, a motive behind Bedol’s actions. Shameless, that is all, I can say. This is display of stupidity in its highest order. The unfortunate thing is, we Filipinos, have to bear all this idiocy!

This Bedol is supposedly a lawyer. As a lawyer, he is an officer of the court. He should have been compliant of what his job was rather than to be defiant of the orders of his superiors to face up the allegations of fraud on the election results in his AOR. His employer the COMELEC has acted helplessly.

Question: Why is it that the government did not interfere on this matter ? Is anyone safe to say that because the fraud was favorable to the administration, this guy remains untouchable ? Or shall we say that the behavior of this wayward lawyer (Bedol) is the real image that mirrored the kind of regime we are unlucky to have.

Malacanang is afraid of Bedol, that’s what. They are afraid, he might spill the beans once he is cornered. Got it!
