Erap ‘50-50′ in 2010?

Posted under 2010 Elections, Joseph Estrada

HERE’S an excerpt from INQUIRER.net multimedia editorial assistant Abigail Kwok’s Breaking News story.

MANILA, Philippines — Yes, former president Joseph Estrada has a “50-50 chance” of running in the 2010 presidential elections, but only as a last resort, a spokesman for the opposition said Tuesday.

Lawyer Adel Tamano said that Estrada’s claim of possibly running again as president was a message “for the opposition to come together.”

“[Estrada's] claim is consistent with the clamor of the people,” he said.

PLEASE! There are millions of Filipinos MORE qualified than Erap to be president! Haven’t we all learned our lessons yet from the first time most of us made the mistake of giving him that position? Are Filipinos not tired yet of being miserable? If Erap becomes president again - this time, it’s not just “batong ipapalo sa ulo ninyo”, but it’s going to be a bullet on our head - it will be the death of the country if Erap becomes president again!

Is it too much to ask for Filipinos to be WISE for once in their lives when it comes to voting? The next president of the Philippines should be Dick Gordon! He is the most qualified to bring this country back to being the best in Asia, they way it was before Marcos raped the country!

OFW

Yes, RE-ELECT ERAP AS PRESIDENT AGAIN & DOLLAR TO PESO RATE WILL BE PESOS 55.
ERAP IS OUR PRESIDENT–OFW.
GO ERAP 2010..

It probably may more prudent for former President Estrada to become an elderly statesman who can bring the contentious oppositinists together to unite to save the nation.

It is a shame if he runs again as president, anyway this person do not know shame so he think that the filipino people really needs him. Hopefully, the people of the Philippines will also learn how to select a qualified person to lead our country.
The media should also stop to cover this person in every news. He is not an ideal person for the new generation that is coming.

Gloria Lavendera

Erap you’re too old you should just retired from politic and enjoy life while you can. If you really want to help the poor people you don’t have to be in politic to help! Erap pa rin.

JUAN

Can I divorce my country? Seriously…

There are only 3 factors for Pres.Erap to run in 2010 and succeed:

1) If the opposition has no clear single candidate
2) If he passes the legal obstacle from the Supreme Court
3) If there is no CON-ASS or defacto martial law before May/2010

Former Philippine President Joseph Estrada cannot run for president under the Philippine Constitution of 1987.

OMG Erap is really dillusional, he’s ego is so huge thinking that the filipino people still wants him to run for president on 2010? He was threw out by the same people who who elected him , he was given a chance and he blew it off so please give the filipinos a break .

shirie

Thinking of Erap as the president AGAIN makes me want to leave the Philippines for good. And to the “OFW” who commented above: BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR! What the Philippines need now is a leader who can bring about genuine change, someone who will and can break the chains of corruption and deceit in the government. Someone who can restore the good name of the Philippines. It’s a shame to know that the Philippines is in the top 10 most corrupt country in the world. “ERAP is CORRUPT” that should be his slogan if he decides to run.

joe---(OFW)
