We’re all the way for you. Lolita Hizon turned her back on you. But that is the way it is. You can’t please everyone. What matters is that majority of well-meaning Kapampangans believe in you leadership. But also please take cognizance of the advice of other people outside your realm of comfort. Pray for your triumph.

The issue is a clear battle between good and evil. We have been cheering over the victory of Gov. Panlilio and the expose he made during the malacanang meeting earned the ire of dirty politicians. In case a recall election is called, his opponents will make sure he is ousted. The two losing candidates will for sure join forces and combine their resources to keep him out. Of course, they have already started and finalized their evil schemes before this issue was raised. Finally, a connivance between the two former losers will give one of them a majority margin. Please let us give good, sincere and politicians a chance. Pres. Cory Aquino should rally by his side. I still trust Madame Cory and she was one of the most honest Filipino leader. Lets pray for this is a great spiritual battle. Godbless.

Among Ed has a lot of shortcomings - too much arrogant, feeling too good, feeling righteous, and so on. While his intentions and commitment to serve are undoubtable, his ways are.

Friends, let us learn from this event - the recent recall move against Among Ed. Sabi nga ni Fr. Gerry Orbos, it is not enough to be good, let us also be NICE. We may have all the good intentions in the world, but we must also be nice in showing in deeds these good intentions.

There’s still much time for Among ed to amend. Remember that we do not have monopoly of righteousness.

Remember, this is about governance and politics in which everything is in gray. What is good for some may not be good for others.

It needs much humility for our Among Ed to amend, and so do most of us.

What will happen to the Lapids who as clear as daylight misused the quarry collections? Are there legal actions? Keeping mum on this issue would allow

This Governor Ed Panlilio is the person who recieved 500thousand supot bag and exposed who has really given it to him. HE is the good guy who is originally a priest, he represents fight against Jueteng and corruption, where he has generated quarry funds that was corrupted, down with jueteng up with moral integrity.

count me in! what the kapampangans did in electing Panlilio is truly remarkable. they struck right at the belly of the beast and slew it(guiao,pineda,lapid and co.). everybody knew that this recall movement is nothing but a hopeless desire of the above crook politician to reclaim Pampanga as their cash cow and nothing else.we know also that this brazen act of stupidy has the blessing of Malacanang and part of a grand design that if cha-cha happen, arroyo can easily run and win in the Congress without Panlilio as an obstacle.

Gov. Panlilio is a slap on the face of our corrupt PGMA.

The public knows that Fr. Panlilio was looking for someone with unblemished reputation to fight against traditional politicians in Pampanga during the last election. He failed to get one, so he himself posted his candidacy against a formidable odds. Fortunately, the NGOs, the Civil Society, the Progressive organization, those who wanted a change in the traditional politics, rallied behind him which was instrumental in his winning his candidacy.

Right after his winning, the Jueteng group, the PGMA group, and other vested interest didn’t wait to discredit this lone winner. His distracters were vent of looking for anything that would besmirch his reputation with the intention of removing him from continuing his role as Governor of Pampanga.

The Lady Pineda, a known associate of PGMA, his contender, lodges a protest right after her defeat. Fortunately, she failed.

On his term as Governor, he was able to bring out in the open, the corruption regarding the quarrying of sands committed by the former Governor, the son of Senator Lapid. Before Fr. Panlilio’s term, the revenue was approximately 110 million pesos a year, and on the other hand, Fr. Panlilio was able to collect 110 million in just one month! This means that over one billion pesos goes to corrupt government officials.

Just like the time of our Lord, Jesus Christ, the priest during His time, seeks for His downfall. And they convinced Judas to lie. There is a parallel to what is happening right now. We have these “Judas” among the traditional politicians, particularly, those close to Malacanang who are vent of removing Governor Panlilio ones and for all.
Makapal ang mukha ng maga salot na ito. Dapat, si Governor Panlilio ang gawin nating President sa 2010. Nakakasuka na ang pagmumukha ng ating mga politico. Governor Panlilio should run for President , and to change the way politics and governance in the Philippines, who are mostly run by people with business, political interest. Corruption is the root of all evil, poverty in the Philippines, because Government officials are not thinking for the good of the country but for the god of their pocket.

As a local of another town headed by a corrupt and greedy local executive (from Montalban or Rodriguez, Rizal), I would like Pampagueños to realize the loss their are facing if Gov. Panlilio is recalled from his position. You people has a lot to thank for having a courageous and fighter leader in Panlilio, facing the brazen corruption committed by ‘trapos’ against hapless Pampangueños.

Like your resopurces, we too in Montalban has many quarrying sites which too have become ‘oilwells’ of our corrupt and selfish local executives. While fattening their
bellies with unaccounted for money, our ‘trapos’ have never thought about preparing for the future so our economies do not depend on quarrying operation money.

Same thing goes in the case of jueteng. This should be stopped.
Only dedicated people in the likes of Gov. Panlilio, Mayor Jess Robredo, Gov. Padaca and she from San Isidro, NE can do it at this point. Let them stay. Let their leadership be replicated.

I think we should support Governor Ed. I know how it feels to have a bad local government with me as its victim. With people like Engr Flordeliza Alampay ( former chief Drafting and Survey ), Engr Saturnino Disu ( former Office of the building official ) Engr Andres ( present city Engineer ) of Manila, in local term pina-ikot ikot nila ako for 4 long years ( as Ted Failon says helo, helo na ako ). Even though they knew we are 100 % right and still dont care if your family lives are put in harms way. This makes you lost hope in how the local government should be run. I agree 101% with you. I fully support Among Ed and say no to the recall. But further, as a governor, Among Ed, must fulfill his election battlecry to bring capitol services to the poor in the barrios. He must also fulfill his “word” to the BALAS boys. As a kapampangan, Among Ed is a cut above the rest but there is a lot of work to do. He is a governor first before a “Kaya Natin” member roaming around the nation to preach good governance. He must walk the talk and spend less time with “Kaya Natin” and spend more time with bringing basic services to the kapampangans. He may not be perfect but we want a governor in action.

Our Bishop has lost their credibility to defend against the wrong doings committed by our government. The corruptions, the human rights violation, the lies, the squandering of billions of pesos on superficial projects, etc., all these are being ignored by this hoodlums in robe.

When these Bishops start accepting donations from what ever source, they commit adultery. Our Bishops now are entirely different from those of Padre Burgos, Gomez and Zamora. The Bishops censors our government’s policy because of slow implementation of Land Reform, yet, they do not donate their land in Naga, to the tenant farmers. Hypocrites! Their Universities, their hospitals, and other investments, are all exempted from taxes, yet, at the time of needs of their people, they only give pittance to help the poor.

They commit Blasphemy every time they bow before the altar; for charity, purity, divinity is not in their heart.

I went home in Lubao Pampanga in Sept 2008 eh, rampant parin ang jueteng. ano ba yan kahit na ba kung sinong nakaupo hindi na mapigilan yan??? bakit ba ang mga pinedang yan hindi na tumangap ng pagkatalo??? gusto parin nilang magpayaman at hawakan sa leeg ang mga kapampangan??? pwede ba mga kabalen magsigising kayo!!! at yang judge sa Lubao …galing pa ako sa america para umatend ng hearing , tapos cancel. and they won’t bother to inform you. mga walang kunsensya!!!

To Angelo, I would like to know if you’re living in Pampanga or just read the issue and made comment. to know the guy you should be living in the province. The guy is more talking words than actions and not thinking the benefits of Kapampangans.

I’m not from Pampanga, but I fully support Gov. Panlilio because he represents a new breed of politicians that the Philippines so badly need now. His platform of good governance and service is not actually a new idea. It just so happen that he is only among the very few politicians in the country today who practice it.

I hope Pres. GMA joins her kabalens too in helping Gov. Panlilio do his job to improve the lives of Pampanguenos. I’m sure if she does that, all her political allies who are giving Panlilio much headache, will follow suit.

All those Pampanga politicians who are trying to pull down Gov Panlilio are “korians” like their cabalen Super GreedyGloria and her entire family. They only know one dialogue for all projects, “magkano ‘KORIAN”. Among is a FILIPINO kaya sugod mga kapatid sa Pampanga at labanan ang mga linta ng bayan.

Kung palagi na lang na nakikita sa isang pinunong bayan ay ang kaniya lang kamalian daw at etsapuwera ang mabubuting nagawa, ay wala ng mangyayari sa ating bayan.

Hindi na ba tayo natuto? Alalahanin natin ang mga pangako nang mga “oposisyon” daw kuno noon. Pinatalsik nila ang nakaupo dahil mas magaling daw sila. Pero nang maupo na ay sino ba ang nakinabang, ang bayan ba o sila?

Umunlad ba ang Pilipinas nang mapunta sa kanila ang pagugit sa pamahalaan? Sa palagay ko ay alam nang buong bansa ang kasagutan dito

Si Among Panlilio ay sinisikap namang gampanan ang nararapat at makakabuti sa kaniyang lalawigan. Dahil dito ay nababagay na suportahan siya hindi lamang ng mga Kapampangan bagkus ng lahat ng mamamayang Filipino.

I agree that Among Ed has good intentions, let us wait first if his good intention is enough to chenge Pampanga. Concentrate muna siya sa mga buwaya sa Pmapanga bago pumaloat sa malawak na dagat ng bansa na puno ng mga pating pati na rin mga buwaya. As of now we dont need a saint to lead our country, we need a leader with political will to solve our ills, yung may balls para sa ipatupad ang batas para sa lahat. It needs hard work, hindi mga speaking engagemtns, hands on leadership ang kailangan natin at nakita ko lamang iyan sa isang tunay na Bayani na kahit batuhin ay tuloy tuloy pa rin sa kanyang sinimula, Wala pang naipakita si Among Ed maliban sa collection sa quarrying. Good and I admire him for that but ot say among Ed for president is ill timed. papuntahin mo siya sa Metro manila at subukan natin kung malinis niya ang mga sidewalk which requires balls and stone wills. among Ed is for Pampanga ang Padaca is for Isabela, ayusin muna ninyo iyang lugar ninyo ha, then I will vote for you for president but in the meantime it is BF who has record of performance in cleansin his town, kaya I will go for BF for President, He is not a saint, yes but he has the political will to make things done para sa lahat. I had a talk with my student yesterday who happens to live in Porac, Pampanga. He said that people in Porac are not in favor with Among Ed because of the quarry issue. These people should realize that Among Ed is doing his best effort to save the country from corruption and wrong governance. I salute him for his devotion not only to his job but also to God who made him as an instrument to heal our sick country and save it from its disgrace. Let’s pray for him.

I do believe that Gov. Among Ed must be supported all the way. What is happening in Pampanga is part of the birth pangs. In introducing changes, resistance is expected.

Vice-Gov Yeng Guiao and the other trapos in Pampanga should wake up.
I will boycott all the Red Ball Products and the the team that Guaio is coaching and will ask my students and friends to do the same.

Guiao and Pelayo and their ilk are on the wrong side of demographics, democracy and nationalism. Their efforts to oust a historic figure, Fr. Ed, affect Filipinos in Pampanga, the nation’s borders and abroad. Apart from the moral questions of their recall act, they cannot expect Filipinos beyond the province not to react and meddle. Fr. Ed’s election speaks volumes of the potential for the nation’s will for good governance. Also, I’m certain Pampanga depends on material support from outside the province, especially from the OFWs who help their relatives’ there. Therefore, it should expect and welcome criticism from “outsiders” in the interest of free speech, democracy and nationalism.

I support Among Ed….this recall is a political harassment. Baka si ROSVE HENSON lang ang gustong magka-position sa gobyerno uli kawawa ka naman kapatid magbago ka na baka pag-takbo mu sa 2010 iboto pa kita.

Gov. Panlilio is not yet “too late to be a hero”. He is a new semblance of a true leader that should be installed higher than a Governor, in order to further influence other Filipino people who has of the same attitude as with the Governor. Transparency, accountability and good governance must also be initiated with a grateful heart. One must posses a grateful heart to attain the basic rule to rule a good Philippine government, that is TAGG, stands as Transparency, Accountability and Good Governance. Mabuhay ka, Governor Panlilio! Sana dumami pa ang mga followers mo. Isa na ako duon.

At the end of the day, it is still the people of Pampanga, who will decide on Gov. Ed Panlilio recall election.

Barely has this ex-priest served even half of his term as governor and his political enemies impatient to restore jueteng lords in Pampanga are all set to remove him.

And what’s the charge against Gov. Panlilio? He ignores them daw, does not cooperate, does things all by himself. In short, the Gov is not a team player. Makes me think they mean “jueteng team player”.

The charge sounds screwy to me. First time some complain about not being a team player. So what if he’s not a team player, that’s no reason to remove him if that’s his style of doing things. If he makes a bad governor let the people of Pampanga remove him in an election and not through manipulative efforts of those whose motives are suspect.

I am one eighth Capampangan and I feel great shame to see those who go along with the recall initiative allowing themselves to be used by unscrupulous poliiticians.

When the Lapids were making tons of money from the lahar scam why did these so-called do-gooders not push the same recall against the father and son governors? I give the reader one guess why they did not!!!

I have a sinister advice to these status quo individuals who are perpetrating this inane recall movement; it goes like this, cancel the movement under a false pretense that you have finally come to your senses yielding to Gov. Panlilio’s crusade for good governance. Come next election the oblivious and the few vigilant populace (masa) are back to old ways they are conditioned to and where you always want them to be all along— ——Bingo!! –YOU ARE HOME FREE, because by then you have convinced and outsmarted Ed Panlilio to vacate the Governorship for a higher national elective office. One of you, either Guiao/Pelayo/Henson or Lilia Pineda will already be occupying the throne in the provincial capitol————subtly crawl back in to the hole that you are used to. I am from Pampanga and my family supported the governor’s candidacy last year. I agree with Kaya Natin not to support the Recall Movement against Gov. Panlilio. I agree that the governor should finish his term until 2010. But please, let his political career end there. Don’t push him for another term or to seek a higher office after 2010. Let him go back to the life he so cherished before politics. There is a reason why Canon Law has a division of Church & State ruling. Let’s not be bullheaded about it. Empower the citizens instead and groom other potential leaders. If we found a choice last year, am should there will be other God-sends in the future, but please spare this one.

We have seen how things changed when a righteous leader govern. Should we allow the wicked to grab the power again? I’m not a Kapampangan so I’m sort of jealous of them since they already experienced some sort of restoration in their local government.
2010 elections is is pretty far but what I’m excited about is the posibility of Villanueva - Panlilio tandem. Probably this time he (Panlilio) will become a team player since he will now have a teamate in erradicating the wicked in Philippine government.

Dugong kapampangan din ako bagamat lumaki ako sa Rizal, sinusundan ko ang pangyayari sa lalawigan mula sa aking ina na lumuluwas doon at sang ayon sa kanya mas marami sa kanyang kababayan ang tutol dito sa recall o ang silent majority na siyang nagluklok sa kanya. Nakakita sila ng pag asa mula kay Among Ed at ayaw nila itong mawala ng ganon ganon lang dahil lamang sa mga ganid at sakim sa kapangyarihan.

Nanawagan ako sa ating mga kababayan na magkaisa tayo na suportahan ang laban ni Among Ed sapagkat naniniwala ako na laban ito ng lahat ng Pilipino na naghahanap ng tunay at wagas na pagbabago sa pulitika ng ating bansa. Wala ng 2 taon ang susunod na halalan, kaisa ako sa pagbabagong ito na tayo ay magluklok ng isang tunay na lider katulad ni Among Ed sa panguluhan. Isang katulad ni Among Ed ang ating kailangan sa bayan na ito.

May I ask, does anybody have the current numbers of the recount?

In the last report (as of my info thru PDI online), Pineda was leading, but numbers weren’t given… It was won by a very narrow margin of 1000 votes, so it would be helpful if everyone had access to the current count or at least an updated weekly count.
