Reader to Lacson: Get a life

- Feedback, Panfilo Lacson -

GET a life, Senator Lacson!

If you want to run for the presidency, at the very least have the decency of statesmanship. Then again, you are Panfilo Lacson! The very same person who made news at the height of the investigation with regard to the deaths of the Kuratong Baleleng Gang… the very same person who had on-and-off relationship with former president Joseph Estrada… the very same person who, for his entire career as a senator in the 13th Congress, devoted himself to implicating the First Family with countless allegations, which have never really prospered to a full-scale investigation!

Now you have given breath anew to an expose, which is actually old news! Would you go so low as to bask yourself in character assassination in the attempt to put your name and face in all the news magazines and dailies?

Will Lacson prosecute Erap?

- Readers' Blog Posts, Panfilo Lacson -

[PANFILO] LACSON wants to head the Senate blue-ribbon committee.

“I want to advance my advocacy of accountability among public officials. If only for it, I want to chair the blue-ribbon committee. But I won’t beg for it nor exchange my vote to get that committee,” he said, referring to his vote for Senate president.

Since majority of the Senate is now GO [Genuine Opposition] and they are serious about their anti-corruption drive and putting corrupt public officials in jail, will they prosecute Erap? Or will they go only for administration candidates and their allies?

Kamag-anak ko, kasabwat ko (My kin, my accomplice)

- TEAM Unity, Readers' Blog Posts, Aquilino Pimentel III, Alan Peter Cayetano, Genuine Opposition, Chiz Escudero, Benigno Aquino III, Panfilo Lacson, Vicente Magsaysay, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo -

HISTORY repeats itself like a broken record.

Before, it was conjugal dictatorship and cronies. Then, it was Kamag-anak, Inc. Now, we call it political dynasty. Really, there’s nothing new under the sun.

The Estradas had set a bad precedent when mother and son won simultaneous seats in the Senate. In the recent election, we saw senatoriables with kin already sitting in the Senate. That’s one the reasons why I did not vote for Alan Cayetano, Vic Magsaysay and Koko Pimentel (See my previous blog entry: http://inquirerbloggers.net/eleksyon2007/2007/05/16/why-i-did-not-vote-for-pichay-cayetano-et-al/).

Lacson direct to the point

- Feedback, Senatorial Bets, Eleksyon 2007 Podcast, Genuine Opposition, Podcasts, Panfilo Lacson -

AMONG the senatoriables’ podcasts in your site, it is Senator [Panfilo] Lacson’s that stands out.

His answers were direct to the point and with a high sense of integrity.
