…But isn’t it one of the most common practice in Philippine politics that has been going on for many years called political dynasty? And many Pilipinos have seen the ill effects of these types of governance. Sponsoring bills and keeping a perfect attendance in the Batasan is not enough to boost your resume for the highest seat in government! I would look deeper in their achievements and how good a doer these candidates are.

As par as my observation they are all political dynasties.

During Marcos time they are against Marcos families and after Edsa they got hold on thier position for so long now.
Please see the list of this families:
1. Binay family at Makati, including their chilldren - on power since 1986 and counting
2. Daza in Northern Samar and his son - since 1986 and counting
3. Cayetano’s including their wives
4. Biazon, Ginguna and families
5. Other political parties and Others more to follow.

Madaling yumaman sa politics kumpara sa pagtrabaho - kaya nga nagpapatayan sila from Kabataang barangay chairman up to the President.

I agree with you Harvey. Gaya ng kasabihan - “Kung ano ang puno siyang bunga”!!!Noynoy Aquino, TG Guinguna and Joy Belmonte-Alimurung are the youths that our great national hero Dr. Jose Rizal had called as the hope of our motherland.

To all of them and the other nameless youths who are silently but deligently doing their share in helping our country in any way they can, WE SAY - MABUHAY!!!!

Kung Gusto ng Pilipino ang Pagbabago…dapat ang unang tingnan natin ang “QUALIFICATION” ng isang Kandidatong tumatakbo. Dapat ang isang kakandidato sa pagka “PRESIDENTE” ay hindi nakadikit sa mga ma impluwensyang tao, sa mga malalaking negosyante at higit sa lahat walang kamag-anak sa Gobyerno. ito kasi ang nagiging ugat at sanhi ng graft and corruption sa ating Bansa.yung mga nagiging Presidente noon, pag nakaupo na sa pwesto ay nagkakaroon sila ng mga “UTANG na LOOB” sa mga kamag-anak,negosyante o mga ma impluwensyang tao sa alta de siyudad, na siyang tumulong sa kanilang kampanya upang manalo kuno sa pagka Presidente. kaya madalas tuloy pag may hinihinging “FAVOR” ang mga ito sa Presidente ng pinas ay hindi matanggihan ng Presidente na hindi pagbigyan sa gusto ng mga taong ito na nasa paligid nya. ngayon sino ba ang kawawa? di ba tayong mga Pilipino? kawawa tayo lalo na ang mga Pilipinong mahihirap kasi tayo lagi ang na uuto at nagagamit pag dumarating ang eleksyon sa Bansa. tayo yung laging naloloko at na uuto sa mga Propaganda nila sa TV at sa pagpapa bango nila sa MEdia. unang inaatake ng mga politiko na ito sa atin ang ating mga “EMOTION”. at ang mga Politiko ay laging namumudmod ng pera tuwing eleksyon. dahil ito ang kahinaan ng mga Pilipino. Emotion kasi at pagka gahaman sa pera lagi ang pina iiral ng mga Pilipino ,hindi ang Prinsipyo at utak. walang mangyayari pag emotion natin lagi ang ating pina-gagana, kasi kung si SATANAS NGA AY KAYA NYANG MAGPANGGAP NA MABAIT para maka PANLOKO ng mga tao.tandaan nyo hindi mamimigay ng madaming pera ang mga kandidato na tumatakbo ngayon kung walang malaking kapalit o balik sa kanila ang mga malaking pera na ibinigay nila sa mga tao,kapalit ng mga boto nyo. tiyak na mangungurakot ang mga yan para maibalik ang malaking pera na ginastos nila sa kanilang pangangampanya at sa pagtakbo nila sa eleksyon. sana matuto na tayo at baguhin na sana ng mga Pilipino ang ganitong klaseng pag uugali. maging matalino sana tayo sa Pagpili ng magiging Presidente natin para maging matino ang Bansang Pilipinas!

Puro Propaganda at pagpapabango lang ang mga alam ng mga Politikong ito na gamit lagi ay ang Media at Tv.Pare pareho lang ang mga yan, lalo na ang mga Politiko na madaming kamag-anak na naka upo sa Gobyerno. mangungurakot lang ulit ang mga yan! ang mga tao naman nagpapa uto at nagpapaloko sa mga nakikita nila sa TV. gamitin nyo utak nyo huwag ang emosyon at wag magpapaniwala sa mga nakikita nyo sa TV. parang hindi na kayo nadala! kaya tuloy tayong mahihirap ang kawawa at lalong naghihirap. habang ang mga mayayaman at negosyante at ma impluwensyang mga tao sa Lipunan ay lalo yumayaman at nangungurakot sa Kaban ng Bayang Pilipinas! Vote wisely!

rubbish! this article once again conveniently disregards the continued suffering of the people of the first district of tarlac for whom sen. aquino rendered nine years of less than presidential (sub-standard) representation! this article is unsurprising considering its demonstrative of a typical Harvey Keh writing as a propagandist, biased and less than scholarly.

If Senator Villar is not proud of his parents name for being so proud of himself as his own man then that is his problem. We can’t really say that we are a made by ourselves alone but by the upbringing of our parents, the values they possess and the good things they have taught us. Noynoy has all the right to use the name, if he swears to live by the values of his parents, then good for us. We just wish that he remains steadfast to his wish for the Philippines which most Filipinos share.

Why does it awalys happen that voters are limited to selecting from these political pedigrees. Sure, they, too have qualifications apart from their being scions. But surely, too, there are leaders more competent than they are. It’s just that the system does not offer fair representation to all. It’s always money and dynasty that win after all.
