MANILA, Philippines--time Friday we bumped into Excited Mole at the water cooler nook. EM's rush-hush news: "Basted yata si President."

Shocking! EM qualified the harsh statement: "They have disengaged. Seems the nonexclusive arrangement doesn't work at that level."

So P-Noy is getting another stylist? "Not necessarily," said EM. Hmm, interesting.

Ended too soon, perhaps, but it was good while it lasted, wasn't it? we asked. "Well," EM said, "Liz Uy has at least one endorsement deal coming up."

That is not an answer, we said, walking away. EM's parting shot: "She does have Boy Abunda as consultant for endorsements, doesn't she?"

She wants out

Glamour Girl is reportedly scared out of her wits. GG hooked up with Top Politico in spite of the raised brows in their respective circles.

It was not all that serious for GG, but TP wanted to take the relationship to the next level.

Now GG wants out. Is it too late? More intriguing, a spy wants to know: What happens now to GG's other regular date, Imported Hunk?

Potty-Mouth Cutie

Looks can be deceiving. At first glance, Cutie Singer seems as saintly as a seminarian. In reality, he has a potty mouth.

According to a stunned witness, CS once bumped into Former Manager by accident. Though they were in a public place, CS showered FM with expletives that could make a fish monger blush.

All FM could do was cry like a baby. The poor gay still carries a torch for CS.

She was in denial for the longest time, but Celebrity Mom has finally come to terms with Flamboyant Son's gender.

Handsome Hunk broke up with  Stylish Girlfriend for the most mundane of reasons. He confessed to pals that he hardly had time for her.

To think SG was totally supportive not only of HH's career but also of his myriad nonshow biz projects. SG gladly acted as secretary, e-mailing and faxing letters for HH's other ventures.

Perhaps HH wasn't looking for that kind of GF--not a girlfriend, but a girl Friday? Ouch.

Fanny's view

At the launch of his hair-care line Fanny Serrano Professionals, the celebrity stylist said he was surprised that some people made a big deal of star-client Sharon Cuneta's spiels about Aga Muhlach in the concert of AiAi de las Alas.

"It was a joke," Fanny related. "Before the show, Aga and [wife] Charlene Gonzalez dropped by Sharon's dressing room to greet her. They talked while I was doing Sharon's makeup."

After the concert, Aga and Sharon texted each other, Fanny said.

UN enlists Diether

Today, the UN World Food Program will recognize Pizza Hut's efforts in their programs for the conflict-affected children of Mindanao. The poster boy is Diether Ocampo, who founded and heads Kids Foundation.

UNWFP officials will announce their fundraising targets this year at Pizza Hut Megamall Ground Floor Bldg. B, 11 a.m.

Choirs at Star City

It's a boy!

LOS ANGELES--John Travolta's wife Kelly Preston has given birth to a baby boy, the couple said Wednesday, adding that they were "ecstatic" about the new arrival, Benjamin. The birth on Tuesday comes nearly two years after their eldest child, Jett, died from a seizure. The newborn weighed in at 8 lbs, 3 oz. The couple have a 10-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu. AFP

An insider told Rushes that he wasn't really interested in newbie TV Reporter, though.

GMA 7 fetes Pacquiao

Last Sunday, Manny Pacquiao shuttled between studios 6 and 7 of GMA Network for his production numbers in "Party Pilipinas" and to grace a thanksgiving-victory luncheon held in his honor.

The world's best pound-for-pound boxing king was the star of a special episode of "Party Pilipinas" and was feted in the luncheon for trouncing Mexican Antonio Margarito and winning his eighth championship belt.

On hand to welcome Pacquiao were his fellow Kapuso stars, members of the press, advertisers and GMA Network officers led by chairman-CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon and president-COO Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr.

Wrapping up the tribute for Pacquiao was the telecast of his homecoming concert at SM Mall of Asia in his Sunday show, "Show Me Da Manny."

Bright idea. Except that FS sold the expensive items at P30 to P50 a pop. Quite obviously, business is not her calling.

Prima donna, reinvented

Pretty Singer has earned a nasty reputation. Mole says she is a prima donna who likes making people wait in her gigs. She has lost jobs because of this.

Then, she suddenly reinvented herself into a trouper. This is why PS is very visible on the boob tube these days. She wants promoters to know she's reliable ... and available.

Floating devices redux

Hard-Hitting Host is in a quandary. Seems HH is reluctant to accept home studio's current offer. Unhappy, HH started "floating" rumors of opportunities from rival networks, according to a colleague.

Concocting "piracy" rumors apparently worked for Controversial Host, who landed HH's old job.

Going downhill

Acclaimed Veteran had high hopes for new Media Company. AV thought MC was a viable alternative to the current scene, which is far from ideal.

Alas, AV found out that MC was offering more of the same dubious and disappointing fare from AV's previous studio.

To illustrate: AV noted that Notorious Manager is currently lording it over at the MC--having disturbingly strong influence over matters that go beyond talent management.

Spotted on the catwalk

Backstage at the Folded and Hung show during Fashion Week, Influential Gay was spotted being escorted, with queer VIP pals, to the best seats in the house so they'd have the best view of the scantily clad hunks on the ramp.

Unfortunately, one of the studs on the catwalk was IG's Former Ward. Their parting had been far from amicable.

Did sparks fly? Was there tension in the air? Nah. Too many biceps as distraction.

SS was dumbfounded by HH's tracking skills. HH somehow found out where SS was, always. He followed her to shoots, even in the Visayas.

Mommy dearest

Celebrity Mom got the biggest surprise of her life when Fashionable Daughter gifted her with a designer dud worth millions of pesos.

FD is earning well, and thought of treating her mom to a rare luxury. A catty friend says CM would never buy that for herself; neither had she ever received such an expensive gift--especially not from her Macho Husband or her Rich Mother.

Comics for hire

According to the TV5 show "Juicy," a certain Popular Comic hires less-fortunate clowns to provide punch lines, at P500 and P1,000 a pop.

Seems ever-busy PC often runs out of material and needs to turn to struggling comedians for a recharge.

Nothing the matter there. That's common practice among successful stand-up comics in the US who have a battery of gag writers in their payroll.

ANC, the 24-hour all-news channel of ABS-CBN, will soon be squaring off with competition on two fronts.

Apart from GMA 7's QTV, which will be reformatted into a news network, TV5 is reportedly launching a 24-hour news channel on the UHF band, says a source.

The warrrrr is on.

Jackie's choice

Action superstar Jackie Chan reportedly picked Kim Chiu as possible partner from snapshots of different local actresses submitted by ABS-CBN's Star Magic.

Alas, Kim could not take on the project because of prior commitments, said Star Magic, which manages her. File under S, for sayang.

WASHINGTON-- Mark Twain dropped by Kennedy Center Tuesday night to honor Tina Fey with the nation's top humor prize that bears his name.

A mustached Alec Baldwin playing the American author said he thought he would be remembered for being a tender lover and was surprised to learn the prize honors top comics.

He said he was shocked to hear it was a woman who had won because "their brains aren't shaped right."

A hundred years after the author's death, the woman famous for her Emmy Award-winning impression of Sarah Palin on the TV comedy "Saturday Night Live," accepted the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. She thanked Palin for her success. AP

Fire damages Neil Young memorabilia

SAN CARLOS, California--A fire at a San Francisco Bay area warehouse early Tuesday damaged a vintage car and other memorabilia belonging to singer Neil Young, authorities said.

The 10,000-square-foot building in San Carlos contained only items belonging to Young and his family, including six vintage cars and paintings, said Belmont-San Carlos Fire Chief Doug Fry. AP

But is it MJ?

LOS ANGELES--The first single from a posthumous Michael Jackson album was released online Monday -- but was immediately clouded by questions over whether it was really the late star's voice.

Record label Epic Records issued a statement saying it was confident the album including the single, "Breaking News" was indeed Jackson singing, after fans and La Toya Jackson questioned its authenticity.

"We have complete confidence in the results of our extensive research as well as the accounts of those who were in the studio with Michael that the vocals on the new album are his own," said Epic, in a statement cited by James Bates, spokesman for Jackson's estate. AFP

MANILA, Philippines--Friends wonder why Insatiable Starlet couldn't seem to get over Former Boyfriend.

Although they parted ways ages ago, IS still pines for FB and drops everything whenever he so much as sends an insignificant text message.

IS explained to a confidante: FB is a conscientious, not to mention prodigious, lover. He's not exactly well-endowed, IS said, but he more than made up for that, when they were together, in terms of technique and stamina.

FB helped her reach the summit of pleasure, IS added, at least three times in one night.

She met her match in an Olympian hunk!

No wonder he's won all those women, in and out of Show Town.

Secret gay

The rumor is spreading like wild fire: Cute Hunk is a certified closet case.

CH, whose career fizzled after bolting home studio, allegedly surrounded himself with an all-gay barkada when he was in high school.

Nothing the matter with that.

Except, CH was leader of the pack-- a screaming, flaming queer who would put to shame any common parlorista when he was younger.

Now it makes sense why CH had a fling with Handsome Stud. CH dismissed that affair as an "experiment," caused by an inebriated state.

Missing in action

Eagle-eyed observers are wondering why high-profile Kapamilya stars Sarah Geronimo and Kris Aquino are nowhere to be found in the much-hyped Christmas station ID.

Is it because Kris threw a tantrum and rejected "Deal or No Deal" as replacement for the failed "Pilipinas Win na Win" bid? (By the way, how does Kris feel kaya about Shalani Soledad entering the local game-show zone?)

Is it because Sarah Geronimo faltered big time on "Idol"?

Is it because Kris accepted a movie offer from GMA Films? (Hala!)

Is it because Sarah was rumored as another possible TV5 transferee? (Nakup.)

Then again, it could be just because they don't have major solo shows currently on air.

Official reason given was schedule conflict. (Usually unacceptable.)

Not in the ID, either, are Robin Padilla, Mariel Rodriguez, Diether Ocampo, Kristine Hermosa and Lorna Tolentino.

Separate lives

At least two sources insist that Power Couple have called it quits.

The female half allegedly refuses to live in the conjugal mansion and now stays in her own pad. No wonder she was raring to throw herself into her work. The male half  purportedly prolonged his trips abroad and is romancing more than one girl on the side.

At least, he is chasing women and not men, as rumored before.

Sweet revenge

Sweet Celebrity was allegedly treated shabbily by Powerful Boyfriend's Officious Sibling, who made hurtful comments about her family and background. Worse, PB dumped SC in spite of her throughout a trying time.

SC, however, found the best revenge. Her career is blossoming with a new high-profile project, plus new allies that are just as rich and influential as OS and PB's family.

MADRID--"Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria trumped Lady Gaga's now infamous meat dress by sporting a tongue-in-cheek "Spanish ham dress" to host the MTV Europe Awards ceremony here on Sunday.

Show Biz Gossip's guess: Karen Davila, newly ex-ed "TV Patrol" (ABS-CBN) anchor. Rushes rushed to confirm, but she's been out of reach for days.

Speaking of "Willing Willie," SBG also heard Kapamilya staffers saying the show was no good ("pangit"). But isn't it the very likeness of "Wowowee"?

Spooking 'em

Playgirl Starlet is notorious for stalking cute guys, shamelessly showing up unannounced at the home of any boy she fancies.

PS was a regular in the house of Former Co-Star until the boy's wary guardians put a stop to the blossoming affair.

One night, PS knocked on the door of Controversial Singer, wanting to sleep in said condo unit. CS was quite spooked! He allowed PS to stay, but escaped to his parents' house nearby.

Bar none

Cute Stars of a major network are fast gaining a bad rep in the party circuit. They allegedly become rowdy when bar-hopping. Not a few bar owners have purportedly put them on the watch list--too much trouble when soused.

Two members of the barkada swiftly denied the rumor, insisting they were underage and could not even enter a bar.

No word from those boys in the group who are of legal age. Is that a tacit confirmation?

Venomous Vixen returns

Pretty Starlet is being shunned by peers because she has the nasty habit of bad-mouthing people--even her so-called friends.

PS was soon found out by one of her victims, Famous Star, who decided to avoid her like the plague hence. As luck would have it, FS became chummy with Beautiful Actress, much to the dismay of PS.

BA is now the favorite target of PS who is spreading all sorts of talk about the new pal of her former best frenemy.

Unlimited options

There's a raging rumor that Gorgeous Actress has become so disenchanted with men, she turned gay.

GA was allegedly burned by her tumultuous romance with Infamous Playboy.

Perhaps she's just bi-curious and exploring unlimited options? Or perhaps this intrigue was spread by Influential Insider who fancies GA, sour-graping after he failed to win her heart?

Blame the boylet

Beautiful Star allegedly left Former Manager because she was influenced by Latest Boyfriend. Quite understandably, FM is fuming.

Come to think of it, FM was never keen on LB. From day one, FM branded LB as "user-friendly." Now, LB is being blamed as the bad influence, when it's clear as day that it's a pragmatic career move on the part of BS.
