Clash of the show biz titans, exodus times 3

MANILA, Philippines--Top Exec is livid. TE and Influential Insider used to have cordial, even productive, relations.

That was until II sided with Controversial Personality, who is at odds with TE's company.

One day, II set a meeting with TE for an upcoming project starring Young Love Team.

When TE heard, all hell broke loose. TE was overheard screaming, "Ignore II ... who has no time for us and is busy with CP."

Exodus times three

Three Beautiful Stars are allegedly on the verge of leaving Top Channel for Revitalized Network.

There is a fear that BS may be put in the freezer because of their Big Boss' alliance with TC's Sworn Enemy. The BS are Popular Singer, Pretty Host and Sexy Starlet.

Another defector

Powerful Insider is also being rumored as transferring from Major Network to Revitalized Channel.

PI is unhappy about recent setbacks, including failed high-profile projects.

Will PI bring along a bevy of beaus when the time comes for the big move?

Is the move a package deal including Plus Hunk?

PI's new boss would love that.

Hunk with a past

Handsome Hunk is fast gaining a reputation. He looks tough and gruff on the outside, but he allegedly had a live-in gay lover when he was younger.

Yup, that was long before he decided to court stardom. There's also talk that HH's brain was fried by indiscriminate drug use as a teenager.

Dolphy's last?

The pneumonia that struck Dolphy while filming "Father Jejemon" recently was his third attack in the past several years.

The Comedy King recalled his doctor telling him that he almost died the previous time--while working on the ABS-CBN show, "John and Shirley."

Pidol is thankful that he has pulled through and got to finish "Jejemon," an entry to the coming Metro Manila Film Festival for his own RVQ Productions.

He's 82; he said this could be his last movie. He used to work 44 hours straight, Dolphy said, but obviously he can't do that now.

Proud mom

Pia Magalona on "Unang Hirit," talking about her children Maxene, Saab, Elmo, and Arkin, singing a contract with the GMA Artist Center, "Marami talaga silang kayang gawin, at itulong sa Philippine society."

Straight English

Manny Pacquiao looked dapper in a suit and tie as he performed his signature song, "Para Sa'yo Ang Laban Na 'To," on "Willing Willie" December 10. Afterwards, Willie Revillame asked the champ to greet his wife, Jinkee. His message: "I love you, and I'll always be with you forever. That's English!"

That's a knockout!

Out of bounds

With Kris Aquino revealing that his estranged husband, James Yap, will be doing a cameo role as a body double in her upcoming horror flick, "Dalaw," people are wondering, wouldn't this re-ignite their romance? The reigning PBA MVP's reply on "TV Patrol" December 8: "'Yan ang 'di ko masagot."

News anchor Ted Failon confirmed on "Showbiz News Ngayon" that he and Kris Aquino were indeed set to have dinner, but stressed that they were just good friends. When "SNN" pressed, Failon laughed, and excused himself.

Unequal footing

Also on "SNN," December 8, Vicki Belo, said her controversial beau, Hayden Kho, needs to build his own career to boost his self-esteem and enhance their relationship. "I don't want a relationship where he's always seen as affixed to me. Hopefully, [we can have] a relationship of equals," said Vicki.

Top of Bandera

The top show biz news in the Inquirer tabloid (and why we are moved, if we are moved.)

 • Regine, deadma sa sariling wedding. (We doubt it.)
 • Binoe, naiirita na raw kay Mariel. (No comment.)
 • Aubrey, sukdulan ang kayabangan. (Aubrey who?)
 • Eugene: Si Ai Ai lang ang reyna ko. (That's what friends are for.)
 • Ate Vi, tatakbong Presidente sa susunod na eleksyon? (Me gano'n?)
 • Sa napurnadang kasal nila ni Dolphy, Zsazsa: Wag na nating pag-usapan! Pero pinamanahan na raw ng ari-arian. (Let's drop this, for Pidol's sake.)
 • Relasyon nina Kristeta at Ted Failon nabuking. (Are we falling for this?)
 • Willie, nakababad sa dressing room ni Shalani. (Beauty by osmosis, why not?)
 • Erik Santos, 3 taong walang dyowa; Piolo, mag-papastor na. (Uh, related ba 'to?)

Sleeping with sexy 'enemy'

MANILA, Philippines--Slightly inebriated, Handsome Hunk found himself romancing Sexy Vixen, whom he had competed with on a reality show.

After a rowdy party, SV spent the night in HH's hotel room. It's her second time to end up in the arms of the enemy, so to speak.

SV previously had a fling with Chatty Personality, a contestant in an earlier edition of the same show.

Block-timer

Rich Client 1 wanted to hire Estranged Partner of Controversial Star. The planned deal didn't sit well with CS, who's close to RC1.

CS allegedly asked RC1 to junk the offer to EP. And we thought they were cordial?

Similarly, CS supposedly intervened when Rich Client 2 tried to hire Sweet Personality, who was once a part of her life somehow. And we thought they were civil?

In and out

Indie Star is out of a high-profile project. IS practically had the plum part in the bag. What happened?

It was the second time in just a few months for IS to lose an important role. Is it because IS has become too big a star for small films?

Kapamilya all his life

ABS-CBN talent Piolo Pascual shot down persistent rumors that he will soon be moving to TV5.

"I signed up with Channel 2. Nakikita niyo ko sa TV everyday, very much a Kapamilya," he said in a recent interview aired on "Showbiz News Ngayon" (SNN).

The actor, currently starring in the teleserye "Noah," added: "Masaya naman ako sa ABS-CBN, masaya ako sa 'Noah,' masaya ako sa career ko." (Okay!)

Busy Jewel

Jewel Mische sounded happy, too, after officially signing up as a Kapamilya talent. The former "StarStruck Ultimate Sweetheart" and GMA 7 contract star has joined the cast of two teen drama series, "Kristine" and "Mara Clara."

Jewel's comments on her new home studio, also aired on SNN: "Nag-uumapaw ang kasiyahan. Natutuwa po ako. Kinakabahan din pero above all, masaya." (Ayos!)

It's interesting how she finds time to study, simultaneously, Music at UP Diliman, Theology in Cathedral of Praise Bible College and Aviation at Yokota Aviation School.

Rocker leader

MOSCOW--Russian President Dmitry Medvedev sang praises to Elton John after the latter's concert in Moscow on Sunday, writing on Twitter he was impressed with the British pop icon's show, RIA Novosti agency reported.

"Very serious work, of very high quality--almost three hours of live music," wrote the president, who cultivates the image of a modern leader and rock music fan, often referring to his love of Pink Floyd and Deep Purple.

In August, Medvedev met U2 front man Bono while the Irish rocker was in Russia for his band's first performance there. AFP

The split came first

LONDON--Liz Hurley and her husband have separated, the British actress announced on Sunday, as a newspaper reported she has been having an affair with Australia cricket great Shane Warne.

"Not a great day," Hurley told her followers on social networking site Twitter. "For the record, my husband Arun and I separated a few months ago."

Hurley, 45, who has an 8-year-old son, Damian, married Indian businessman Nayar three years ago. Britain's News of the World tabloid reported on Sunday that Hurley had spent two nights with Warne, 41, in his London hotel suite last week. AFP

Top of the talk shows

For those who missed last weekend's TV gabfests. (And why we are moved, if we are moved.)

One of the highlights of Cristine Reyes' barrage of Twitter messages apparently directed at Sarah Geronimo:

"Kumanta ka na lang! Bwiset ka." (Harsh!)

Kris Aquino, asked if she was seeing Mayor Junjun Binay:

"Seriously and honestly, hindi na kami nag-uusap, hindi na kami nagte-text, at hindi na kami nagbi-BBM (Blackberry Messenger). All forms talaga, isali mo na pati ang Skype at YM (Yahoo! Messenger), wala talaga." (Kasi naman, pinapatulan pa ito e.)

Iwa Moto on reports that she is married and pregnant:

"Utang na loob... hindi po totoo... limang taon akong buntis?" (Oo nga naman.)

Queenie Padilla on rumors that she was hospitalized due to diet pills:

"Umiinom po ako dati. Kasi nahihirapan akong pumayat. Pero ngayon, nag-stop na po ako kasi parang nababaliw na ako.." (Naku, ineng, don't say that.)

Manny Pacquiao, asked if he would allow wife Jinkee to enter show biz:

"Hindi, ayoko siyang pumasok. Kasi mamaya baka mapabayaan yung business namin, mahirap. Bakit pa siya papasok ng show biz? What for?" (English 'yun!) ("Star Talk," "The Buzz") With Gerry Plaza and Allan Policarpio, Contributors
