THINGS in the Big City are hard enough, especially in these days of spiraling gas prices, but there are some things that really make life even harder. Beware:

1. People who line up to use the ATM on payday with TWENTY-ONE ATM cards from their officemates!
2. People who line up at the CASH ONLY line and insist on using credit cards!
3. People who line up in the EXPRESS LANE with more than 10 items! Learn to count, people!
4. Drivers who move across FOUR LANES of traffic to turn right!
5. Telemarketers! Telemarketers! Telemarketers!
6. Customer service “hotlines” that put you on hold FOREVER!
7. People who send CHAIN LETTERS!
8. People who drive scooters WITH SOUND SYSTEMS!
9. People with FAKE AMERICAN ACCENTS!
10. People who don’t like movies THEY HAVEN’T WATCHED!

For more of what really drives people crazy, check out the July 20 issue of the Sunday Inquirer Magazine.

    Illegal Alien Says:

God. I could write a whole book about these. Let me just add a few more instead:

    1. Inconsiderate people moving at their own slow pace resulting to inconveniencing others. Example of this is whenever queuing for something and that person in front is holding up the line for whatever reason. Stupid most probably.

    2. Drivers who never signal their intention to switch lanes and making erratic maneuvers. They should never have been allowed on the roads.

    3. Worst than a fake american accent is whenever you converse in tagalog this Pinoy with the fake accent would still insist in replying in his grammatical erroneous english. Tinagalog mo na nga sinagot ka pa ng carabao english.

    4. You know I hate Pinoys who always say “you know” in every beginning and ending of their sentences. Just imagine how irritating that is. Parang sirang plaka…you know?

    5. Pinoys who are not mindful of their vocal decibel levels when conversing in public. Are we really gifted with pitchy irritating voices?

    6. Those who write SMS style in e-mails and letters. Abbreviate and spell correctly! Nakaka-bobo talaga ang pag-text message.

    7. I hate it so much when people write YOU ARE in abbreviation as YOUR instead of YOU’RE - they are not the same! And they say Pinoys are profecient in the english language.

    8. I hate it when I see people/artistas as living-walking endorsements for supposed high end products. Remember those huge Ralph Lauren logos on their polo shirts? I loath them so much - knock offs or not.

    9. Skullcaps and hoodies in 34 degrees Celcius Manila. These guys need geography lessons. Porma first above anything else and motto nila.

    10. SKIN WHITENING PRODUCTS!!!

Sounds like you have listed all my pet peeves ! Although this is the first time I ever heard of number 9.
How about people that drive in the fast lane going 55 in a 70 mph, while eating their lunch and talking on the phone at the same time.
