JIM Paredes of the Apo Hiking Society talks about the present state of the Filipino music industry and the the music he grew up in.
He says that the music industry then was much more exciting due to the various styles and genres Filipino artists came up with. In addition, Paredes says the web is now being used to carry music, drastically changing the music scene.

To Mr. Jim Paredes:
You’re one of the most respectable contemporary Filipino musical artists. But how come you fell short of fairness when you sat as a juror in the recent gala night of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2? You did well in PDA 1! Were you also swayed by Louie Ocampo and the unfair mentors? Just asking. How can you help build the faith of upcoming Filipino artists that way? Please don’t join any connivance that would be damaging to your good name. Please judge contests fairly and resolutely.
