Return of Jaworski

Posted under Basketball, Philippine Basketball Association

SO, what do you think of former senator Robert Jaworski’s possible return to the Philippine Basketball Association?

Here’s an excerpt from Musong R. Castillo’s story for the Philippine Daily Inquirer:

MANILA, Philippines–Robert Jaworski will be making his much-anticipated return to the Philippine Basketball Association, the league he helped make great, in the next season.

That is, if a greater calling does not get in the way.

The 6-foot Living Legend, one of the finest all-around players this country has ever produced, has resumed talks with Air21 management about a coaching job after the contracts of Bo Perasol and his team were not renewed.

Are you a fan of Jaworski? If he does become the Air21 coach, do you think he still has what it takes to whip the team into shape and steer it to a championship?

I am an avid PBA fan but I never liked Jawo,he is tenacious to such extent unsportsmanlike, disrespectful to the ref and players,a gang-ho mentality with the likes of Rudy Distrito under his wings. He acts as if he is the PBA,when Jawo left the PBA has evolved for the better with a clean and professional image.Sana kung babalik si Jawo huwag naman sana nya itong bastosin at salaulain.Time have changed Jawo so should you!!!

    Senate’s loss is PBA’s gain!

Jaworski returning to the PBA will always be a good thing to the fans, the players and the league.

    Good luck and mabuhay po!

he is a good player, but not a coach. jawo bring intensity into the game but not strategy and team play. i think as a player he perform for personal glory and not for the benefit of the team. hes not the like of loyzaga or patrimonio who is a leader inside the court jawo is more of a tyrant. as a coach he is still a tyrant dictating with out consideration. genibra wins because they have good players not because they have jawo. if he really loves basketball, at this stage he should have a free basketball summer clinic for kids.
