SO, what do you think of former senator Robert Jaworski’s possible return to the Philippine Basketball Association?
Here’s an excerpt from
MANILA, Philippines–Robert Jaworski will be making his much-anticipated return to the Philippine Basketball Association, the league he helped make great, in the next season.
That is, if a greater calling does not get in the way.
The 6-foot Living Legend, one of the finest all-around players this country has ever produced, has resumed talks with Air21 management about a coaching job after the contracts of Bo Perasol and his team were not renewed.
Are you a fan of Jaworski? If he does become the Air21 coach, do you think he still has what it takes to whip the team into shape and steer it to a championship?

I am a jaworski fan, he brings intensity to the game, the never-say-die spirit always burns in him, but I kind of question his coaching skills, does he goes to school to learn new trades, does he try to scout other coaches skills, there’s a lot of work for him to do, specially Air 21 is not considered a championship team. He can pull out a miracle, during his Anejo / Ginebra days, but basketball today is science, not just gung-ho style of playing that he used to do.

ang pagbabalik ni jawo ay siguradong may magandang resulta sa liga ng PBA. oo nga’t medyo matagal na siyang nawala pero nadiyan pa rin ang “charisma” ni jawo at sa mga time na wala siya sa PBA ay siguradong “he let him aware of the development of basketball as whole and the PBA league in particular”. there will we change in his coaching approach. WELCOME BACK COACH JAWO.

Hoy Manny Villar,
Anong commercial reason lang ang pagpasok ni Jawo sa Air21. Jawo’s mere presence can bring more excitement in the league. Magsolocite k n lang ng vote para sa SP. Hinati mo pa ang Opposition. Balimbing ka. Hindi ka magiging President sa 2010.Wala kang katulad Manny!

Well, it could be for commercial reasons but it could also be that our league needs someone who could show the true passion for winning.
Yah, I know. Believe me, looking back in his long list of games, Jawo really get’s into my nerves whenever he gets too physical with his game. But right now, I think it’s different. I’m sure he has learned valuable lessons through those years that he coached and played in this league. Like the others, I want him back in the league. It’ll be more exciting!
Good luck Coach!
