CONGRATULATIONS to Filipino boxing champs Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire and Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista, who both defeated their Mexican opponents to retain their belts.

“The Filipino Flash” stopped Luis “Titi” Maldonado in the eighth round in Mashantucket, Connecticut, while “Boom Boom” won via a unanimous decision over Antonio “Barrio” Meza at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.

In the same Boom Boom-Barrio fight card, AJ “Bazooka” Banal retained his World Boxing Organization Youth super flyweight with a ninth-round technical knockout against Mexican Jovanny “Bambino” Soto.

Kudos to our Filipino boxers!

The Filipino Flash is the best Pinoy pugilist to date. He fights for honor and country while Pacquiao fights for himself and for the money. Raves should be focused to the future fights of Donaire. It would be consentious if Pacquiao would play second fiddle to Nonito on the limelight. Si Donaire para sa bayan, si Pacquiao para lang sa kanyang tiyan. At, higit sa lahat, si Flash world champion.

I really don’t know where this Raul Avila is coming from. Manny Pacquiao gets paid in the millions because he is one of the most exciting fighters in the world today. He is where he is because of his work ethic.
Nonito Donaire is a great champ. But to be very honest about it, can you really tell who is fighting for God and country? I say let Manny and our champs earn money while they can else they end up like Lando Navarette.
Let’s not begrudge Manny for earning millions. Unless you are one of those lining the streets asking for balato from the great champ. Manny owes nobody nothing. He has earned every single dollar through sheer hard work. SO, whatever and however he chooses to spend his millions, is really none of our business.

Pacquiao is just lucky that he was the first Filipino that make it big in the square circle. However, he is not fighting for the honor of the country but for his own riches.Pacquiao is right on the surface, but i would consider Donaire as the best because of his aim to fight for the honor of our country and second for himself. If Donaire could unify the belt in his category, then he will go down in Philipines history as the greatest Filipino Fighter ever. My challenge to Pacquiao is to win the 130 lbs and the 135 lbs WBC category, then thats the time i salute for Manny.

I’m saddened with the comments of Raul Avila or is He eaglestar aswell. Manny Pacquiao has given a lot of honour to our
country and should be given due respect
and credit instead he discredit him, what a pity he doesn’t know what he is talking about, mahiya ka naman alot of kababayan are being offended of your nonsense thinking. Yes Nonito Donaire is
another hero I agree.
