Globetrotter is a pcmcia based wireless card for Weroam. It was used in it's early implementations.

I had that issue around the same time 2008. Our sales rep from PLDT advised me to terminate the service and then re-apply so that i would get the newer USB type WeRoam devices.

I'm the IT for our company we had around 4 weroam users. I had the usb type and there were very few issues with it - Huawei e220. For the rest they had the old Globetrotter pcmcia type.

Once we got the newer USB type problems solved.

But the thing i don't like was why should be terminate the service then re-apply??
Should it be that they replace the unit if they know that there's a lot of problem on the Globetrotter already?

Well that's customer service for you.

I just went through it just so i could deliver the goods. Solve the problem immediately and ask questions later.

Oracle is acquiring Sun not to "out-invest" SAP or Microsoft. They are Oracle's competitors in its software business. Sun is a hardware company, and would not add significant value to Oracle if it were acquired to augment its software business.

Sun is being acquired by Oracle for reasons of competing head-on with IBM in the hardware and IT services business. And as Larry Ellison boldy puts it, Oracle is making the move "to win it."

Also, this is not a done deal yet. While the acquisition has been approved in the US, Oracle is still awaiting EU's approbation.

Hello, I am a production engineer working for Bang & Olufsen here in Denmark. Your column has intrigued me a bit as your search for a good or if not the best pc speaker apparently has not been successful yet. Well, this one will guarantee your thumbs up. Try this, Bang & Olufsen's Beolab 4. Here's the website http://www.bang-olufsen.dk/beolab4
I heard there is one Bang & Olufsen outlet at Greenbelt in Makati. You will get the sound you ever wanted for sure.
Have a nice day.

why do you call the Ondoy a 'she'? I thought Pag-asa now calls storms with either female or male names. And I think Ondoy is a male name. But nevertheless, better to use 'it' than a human pronoun to avoid labelling as male or female.

With the price tag on the iiView, any reasonably intelligent person would rather build their own home theatre PC and plug in their existing TV into it.

Still would come out cheaper and more powerful than this slow athlon they have, oh! and a significantly larger storage space.

You can create your own. If you have a good pc, you can just add a tv tuner and your good to go. It will be much better if you have Windows XP Media Center, Vista or Windows 7 (soon) installed.
