COME to think of it, using [Romeo] Brawner’s convoluted logic, is he a Filipino?
I seem to recall that he has an ancestor that was not a Filipino. And if he is not, what right does he have to be a Comelec commissioner?
And if he has none, what right does he have to give such a ruling?

my grandfather is a true filipino. he has true filipino blood running in him. and what he does is none of your business. his decisions are based on law and nothing else. he is very honest, smart and he is a man of integrity. he made the philippines better and he is one of the best. my grandfather has over 40 yrs of experience in public service and none of you have the right to say that undergraduates know better. he loves his country so much that’s why he does what’s best for the country. and if you think my grandfather’s a bad man, you don’t know anything about him. not even the slightest bit. your giving comments based on one ruling. i’ve known this guy my whole life and what he does is what’s best for all of us. he studies his cases over and over and over again. and he makes rulings based on his experience and on the law. and you have no right to say such things.

Who has a cleaner hand than Brawner?

Brawner’s decision to declare that Mayor Jess Robredo is not a Filipino is totally absurd. However, the motive is crystal clear - they want the undefeated Mayor Jess Robredo out of the way in order for Brawner and his cohorts to open the gates of Naga City to the political vultures!
Naga City was a third class city before Mayor Jess Robredo managed the Naga City government. It was even bankrupt when it was turned over to Jess Robredo by the outgoing Mayor Lut Del Castillo.
The numerous awards and accolades Mayor Robredo got from prestigious organizations speak for themselves. The status of Naga City today as a first class city can only be attributed to the excellent management and stewardship of Mayor Robredo and good performance of his councilors.
Should Leny Robredo wins as the mayor of Naga City, Brawner should be declared persona-non-grata in Naga City for endangering the on-going progress of Naga City under the leadership of Mayor Jess Robredo. Brawner’s action reek of the foulest odor there is on earth! He should never be allowed to set foot in Naga City by the Naguenos! He should be scorned.
The politicians in cahoots with Brawner should never be given a chance to win in any election - they should never be trusted to hold elective positions in Naga City!
Let this ignominous decision of Brawner be told to the youth of today and future generations of Naguenos. Let his name be remembered as the one who tried to deliver Naga City to the political vultures, to the detriment of the progress of Naga City.

Commisioner Romeo Brawner is “Romeo BRAWN”, and that’s according to him. His two brothers who were generals are “BRAWNERs”. . . . that’s his trademark silly joke.

It’s really upsetting to know that we always cry for good and honest leaders to lead not being able to be and do so because of the corruption within the government. This election has totally lost its credibility with issues of possible cheating and vote-buying (now with two categories, retail and wholesale). No longer is the people allowed to choose their leader because there are a handful of multimillionaires dictating to us who the choices of leaders they like. And I thought we already learned our lessons. The current COMELEC is just a part of the machinery of the power-hagglers who collude with the people in the palace to stay in the people’s sack of food. These Commissioners were appointed because there’s a strong sense of wisdom in their characters. But it seems the undergraduates know better than these people. Mr. Brawner’s logic of a good person’s citizenship only proves why we are poor: we are being mislead by blind people who’s concept of citizenship under Article IV of the 1987 Constitution only exists in his mind and not with the law, to think the law is very specific with its words. Perhaps Brawner should put out his own version of a dictionary in parody of Webster’s. I hope his grandchildren will be able to forgive him.
