UPDATE: Added a Dolly Anne/Ruffa/Annabelle poll at the Vox Populi homepage.
THE WAY Annabelle and Ruffa parade the marital woes [of Ruffa and Yilmaz Bektas] on national TV is appalling!
Just this Sunday afternoon on both GMA and ABS-CBN Ruffa’s marriage was again the issue with a rejoinder from estranged husband Yilmaz while mother Annabelle was spewing invectives on GMA.
I hope the mother and daughter are happy with the media attention they got but for the life of me, can’t they settle the issues quietly and move on?

Guys, at least Gretchen’s friends came in to the open to defend her and Gretchen admitted it right away that it was really her in the pix and she’s full of remorse now and self pity and regret. Wala nang maraming kaek-ekan katulad ni Ruffa. Hindi niya isinisingit ang mga material na bagay just to prove that she’s really rich even she’s in the middle of a mess like this ruffa. Si Ruffa and dami na niyang problema but ang PRIORITY niya is to prove to the Filipino people na mayaman ang asawa niya, na class siya, na nasa harapan siya nang pinka-class na hotel sa Vegas, na she is being interviewed by CBS executives, na she’s having dinner with Chavit, na she really owns fashion TV…LIAR nga at SOCIAL CLIMBER. No name dropping for Gretchen dahil mayaman nga talaga si Tony Boy. She shows that she really wants to save her relationship with Tony Boy. Most importantly, SHE DOES NOT LIE. Now, you can say that her life is an OPEN BOOK unlike this ruffa. Gretchen readily admitted her relationship with Bong Revilla so wala na talaga tayong makalkal na baho niya. She’s true to herself. Never mind if she’s with Tony Boy for money…let me tell you that it is sooo easy to love a man with money and as gentleman as Tony Boy. As I was looking at Tony Boy’s Pix, he doesn’t look like a dirty old man to me. He’s decent and most importantly he’s quiet. He handles the issue the way a very wealthy man should. He doesn’t act like a gangster like Yilmz Bektas. Old money si Tony Boy. Now, those are the traits of a very rich human being. May breeding. Si Ruffa and Yilmaz parehong walang breeding. True, mayabang talaga si Gretchen and I just wish that she stops flaunting her designer’s clothes because that is not nice lalo na maraming mahihirap sa PI. If I were her, if Tony Boy gives her a second chance, sa bahay na lang siya. No more movies and cut her ties with Ruffa.

What? ngayon mo lang i-follow up ang divorce mo kay Richard? Para kamo mapadali ang process nito. Meanwhile you decided to get married to yilmaz, considering you are still married to Richard. You know here in the state it,s illegal, that is bigamy!!! So if I were yilmaz I will sue her. Ruffa made a fool of Yilmaz. She lied, to make sure she can marry this richman. I am sure if yilmaz knows that ruffa is still married he would not marry her because it’s ellegal. You know what Ruffa, filling for divorce does not take years o.k. Hindi kami tanga. So I hope you get what you deserve.

Hey! You guys erased one of the posted comments that really had a good point:
The comments here range from satirical to humorous to ferocious. But I think there is a bigger issue here – one that we don’t want to discuss – or even recognize, because it hits so close to home. I am a Canadian – a University Professor who has been associated with prestigious universities in the United States and in Asia for several decades. I am married to a Filipina, we have two teenage children, and yes, I lived in the Philippines for 5 years, so perhaps I am qualified to speak on this subject.
There used to be a time, not so long ago, when Filipina ladies were recognized, and even revered, for their intensely strong moral and ethical values. The world saw Filipino femininity as the poster-child for family values and an unqualified commitment to the principles of faith, spiritualism and honor.
How quickly the times are changing. Of course, we can expect mass media, the near universal access to television, and the celebrity hype that goes with it, to dramatically affect the social climate. But look at the celebrities that our social system, led by influential media executives and corporate sponsors, have chosen to act as the nation’s role model and social inspiration for the millennium generation…
There is poor, dear, sweet little Chris – who has slept with the entire basketball team; who talks candidly about living with men, both married and single, outside of marriage; who talks freely about her sexually transmitted disease as if it were a badge of honor; who is one of the most egocentric and self-adulating media-hogs to grace the airwaves or the corporate endorsement circuit in recent memory. And then along comes poor, sweet, abused Ruffa – the bigamist with two concurrent husbands; the good-time girl who entertains Arab royalty with her sexual favors and charms; the actress that believes (and then can not even remember) her own lies.
These are the media darlings who are guiding, inspiring, and acting as role modes for our children and for ‘Filipina feminism’. These are the cultural icons our young women associate with, idolize, and strive to emulate.
Is it any surprise, then, that internet cafes are filled to overflowing with young (and not-so-young) Filipinas, seeking their fortune, trolling the internet chat and romance forums for any – and every - Western ‘Tom, Dick or Harry’? While so many of our young women, in search of Ruffa’s ‘fabulous’ lifestyle, peddle themselves to the first internet bidder that comes along, others use the forums as a business, extracting money and support from foreigners who still want to believe in the virtue and honor of Filipina values. It is, it seems, no longer about commitment, faith, spiritualism and honor, but rather emulating the success and lifestyle of the ‘media whores’ who will do anything for a dollar and some publicity.
Of course, this isn’t a universality – there are still many traditional Filipinas we can be very proud of. But the times are changing, and it is in no small part due to the media-whores who continue to make a mockery of the traditional values and faith, the media demagogues who unceasingly promote their harlots to an impressionable and vulnerable younger generation, and the corporate sponsors who promote the perversion of society and social values through the glorification of perversion and nonconformity.
Congratulations Chris! Congratulations Ruffa! You have left your mark on a generation and a culture. I am sure you are very proud of yourselves.

If I were to represent ruffa and anbelle as their pr I would do the ff. immediately:
1. Let them disappear for a year to avoid further damage. Never mind the money you are going to lose. Sanity is more important.
2. refrain from talking about anything to the press and tell your paid columnists like Jun Lalin not to write anything about you for a while. This would do you more harm than good.
3. Tell your mother to keep her mouth shut. She is doing you more harm than good. Your father and your brothers are doing fine. They make no comments.
4. Change the way you look. Stop using that lipstick of yours that makes your lips thicker. You look like “Elvira”. Very contravida looking. Look humble and talk with humility and remorse. Own your mistakes and bravely apologize to the viewing public about your shortcomings. You don’t have have to say “I lied to you” because I am sure you will never do that dahil nga mataas masyado and ere mo and LIARS are the hardest ones to own their mistakes that’s why people HATE you. There are so many ways to say how sorry you are that you fooled your public including Imelda Marcos, Binay, Sotto, Araneta etc…etc…etc…(Bakit nga ba kinuha mo silang ninong e nung nagtitinda kayo nang kaldero hindi naman kayo kilala nang mga ito?). Remember ruffa and anabelle, even Ferdinand Marcos tasted the WRATH of the “patay gutom” and the masang Filipino. Kayo pa kaya? Humility is the magic word. Also, PLEASE and THANK YOU are words that people with good breeding use a lot.
5. Stop dropping names like “we had dinner at Chavit Singson’s house or the CBS executives invited you to lunch (nobody believes this, ruffa because you are more than 30 years old to be given a break and if this is so true why did you go back to PI. You could have stayed here in the US and live a peaceful life), owning different houses like in New York etc etc etc or saying “Nandito ako sa harap nang pinaka-class na hotel sa Vegas.” There are more to life than LV or Rolls Royce. Stop impressing people by your lies ruffa. In other words SHUT THE FUCK UP.
6. Take your website off the internet. It tells about those fashion TV that you did never own and the people there right now don’t even know you at all. I e-mailed them, too Ruffa just to be very sure and they don’t even know you exist. Those charities you said you supported in Turkey. It is clear that you want to become Mrs. Bill Gates but Ruffa, enough is enough.Wake up, girl and smell the capuccino. Busy as ever? Hay naku Ruffa tama na. Consult a doctor because only people who are really sick can go to this extent of lying. Please remove your website. Even Yilmaz can use this against you because most of them (if not all)are fabrications. There is even a part there that you say: “Be yourself and don’t pretend to be a person that you are not. Men don’t like that.” You were actually describing yourself, weren’t you Ruffa?
7. I’ll give back to you your exact words. BE YOURSELF AND DON’T PRETEND TO BE A PERSON THAT YOU ARE NOT. PEOPLE DON’T LIKE THAT.
HUMILITY….REMORSE….SELF RESPECT…FRESH ATTITUDE
say the above words as many times as you can and apply them to your daily life and you will be JUST FINE…
