COMELEC Chair Benjamin Abalos' resignation was not an act of delicadeza but of desperation still for the administration's self-preservation.
Efforts of some administration allies in the Senate fell short of quelling public interest in what has been dubbed as the NBN telenovela, hence the need for Abalos to sacrifice his leech-like holding on to power. Still, Abalos' resignation fails to squash growing calls for transparency and accountability for those involved in the NBN scam. He is just a maggot in an exposed can of worms.
Moreover, Abalos, not CHED Chair Romulo Neri as earlier perceived, is now surfacing as the "real deal in the NBN deal." Secretary Neri only directed the blame to Abalos while he continues to invoke Executive privilege to save his post and his principal. Abalos, on the other hand, has nothing else to lose if he decides to tell all.

It is nothing but drama all around us. The politicians are entainterning us, while the former movie stars in Congress are the ones making the laws.
Politicians once elected to Congress, never missed a chance to "GRANDSTANDING." I do not understand what it is with our politicians. They have to have their 15 seconds under the spotlight. Not only that, but they always try to extract their pound of flesh for revenge.
Grow up Pinoy politicians, and be a credit to our government.

Nag-resign na nga yung tao para makasuhan at sa korte na maglabanan, ang gusto pa ng mga taga-oposisyon kaladkarin pa yung iba. maryosep, maghunos dili kayo. hindi lang kayo ang anak ng diyos at palaging tama.
.....i think he should reveal everything he knows about this controversy.....The Filipino people ARE NOT SO STUPID that they do not know who are the people behind this deal....

I have received a text message from a certain Atty. Mariano M. Chavez of the PGMA Foundation whose cell number is 09286917450 claiming that my mobile number has been randomly selected. I have apparently won 1 million pesos from the foundation.
Below is the text message.
"Congratulations! Your cell # had won 1M pesos during the anniversary of the PGMA foundation raffle draw. DTI permit # 2578 Series 2007 Please Contact Atty Mariano M. Chavez at 09286917450 for details and on how to claim it. Thank you."
I wonder if this got anything to do with my criticism of the illegitimate regime of Mrs. Arroyo. Not to mention the evil the religion it represents.

From what has been revealed so far (media, senate, etc) be it the version of JDV3 who has his own agenda, or Sec Neri who allowed this NBN to happen in his own "small" way since he could have significantly influenced its timely abortion but Sec Neri intentionally did not lift a finger rather made chika to Jarius or or the prime mover "commissioner" Abalos commissioner representing both bad and evil intent and purpose from my worm point of view na "hulikaw" muntik ng na hulidap and sambayanang Pinoy to the tune of 15 B piso HENCE to say the "commissioner" should come "clean" is like saying its the fault of Jarius since it was he who let the cat out of the bag. "Commissioner" will never allow the truth to see the light of day i think what he knows is a fragile bubble literally holding life or death to everyone who is involved in this "income" generating NBN
Hindi na magsasalita yang si Abalos. Pag nagsalita pa yan, papaano na ang nai advance sa kanya, sino ang magbabayad non? Kaya ang gagawin na lang siguro nila, sa ibang proyekto na lang pababawiin ang ZTE(pronounciation - si ta e).
Our lawmakers thrives on scandal. Whenever there is something, they dig deeper to find out what is wrong and expose.
How many times we heard and watched this kind of happening.
From Marcos, Cory, Fidel, Erap and now Gloria. There is always a charged of corruption. But not proven.
Now we have this ZTE deal. The Senate is trying to pin down the president of her involvement which after a useless investigation in aid of legislation kuno, they find nothing. It is an what he said and who he said.
The reason why there is no progress in the Philippines is because the government cannot implement the plan, cannot begin the project for there is always doubt on contract of course allegation of bribery, kickbacks.
We have seen that on Bataan Nuclear Power Plant. What happened the government is paying for a project that was not put into use.
Now, we have this broadband deal. They found nothing. The Supreme Court acted upon on the contract. Abalos has resigned.. and yet are lawmakers will not stop.
Another term of lawmakers, another term of Gloria will end and they produce nothing.
