THIS is a lame excuse.
First, the LPP (League of Provinces of the Philippines) does not have a resolution granting P500, 000 each to Pampanga and Bulacan governors. Second, LPP is hard up on funds. How can it prioritize giving to Pampanga and Bulacan, both rich provinces. This is stupidity. Third, how could you give away P500, 000 of the people’s money without receipts? This is irresponsible.
The LPP [members] say they were able to meet only yesterday since their national president just came back from abroad. How could the LPP have distributed the money two weeks ago without their president, which according to their constitution, is the final approving authority for the release of any fund?
Governor Panlilio immediately reported the issue to the media after receiving the money. Was the LPP president already out of the country?
I think this matter really should be pursued until the truth comes out. The people are tired of all the lies.

That money, mispent by THE LIGA NG MGA LALAWIGAN NG PILIPINAS….ay mga nakaw sa kaban ng Bayan. The people, if not the kurakot government of Gloria, should trace its source…so whoever made that decision and took the money ang gave it away to silence critique or to gain favor from the members of the congress should be convicted… regardless how this bogus government turned out to be passed 2010.

Do we need to know everything what is happening and make a unnecessary comments?
Some call it bribery, but bribery for what? We know for a fact bad faith is the element to be called such. Bad faith or favor but favor for what?
Remember too that governors, mayors down to baranggay are under the DILG which is the alter ego of the president.
So, Malacanang assistance to this local government unit at their own disposal(local head) are but natural.
Remember too, that Father Ed the receiver/whistle blower of 500hundred thousand pesos is only 3 months in office and it is too early to judge him as the honest man.
It will be a long, long way to go and many more years for Father Ed to test his and his people’s honesty and integrity in running the affairs of his province and one act alone is not enough to make him a hero.

If you don’t want to know all the corruption that has been going on then you people should just have parliementary government. Just like what Gloria Arroyo, Cronies want. With this type of government nobody has to know anything because they all can swipe it under the rug. Just like what they’re doing everything else. The only reason all the corruption under the bugos regime of Gloria Arroyo, coming out its because there is a congress, See to it for transparety. But even that is not working because Gloria Arroyo, Cronies are covering everything up so that the filipino people will not know the truth. So, Either way nothing good well happen to all this. Because whoever has more money can always buy these corrupt official. And these idiots call themselves depender of the people.

Ha, Ha. She turn out to be the biggest LEMON. The only thing she know how to do is lie to filipino people, and keep robbing the government coffer. This is the filipino people fault. LPP officials (together with other self-serving politicians) are hounds of the administration. They bark whenever their master is in danger. These hounds are fed by their master from the moment of their birth (to the political world) and until this time when they’ve grown monstrously and horribly voracious of wealth and power.
The power and authority in the philippines are in the hands of the thieves. How did it become possible?? It can be traced from the way we hold our election. The comelec must once and for all be reformed for as experience would provide, election fraud is not only perpetrated by power-hungry candidates/politicians but also by profit-seeking comelec officials and employees. If only we can have trustworthy, independent and fair people in the comelec, the political, economic as well as social turmoil would gradually wane. It is more efficient to overhaul the single constitutionally mandated body that facilitates the conduct of installing “servants of the people” to positions than going after myriads of corrupt politicos (including corrupt LPP officials) who mostly got their positions through bribing leeches in the comelec. Should I say more???

hayyyy..whats new? this gma regime is full of corruption but nothing happens to the investigation. that’s what you get if you have the money. there are times i think they dont care anymore if people finds out…garapalan na ..imagine many people are having a hard time working and paying taxes…sometimes nothing to eat but in malacanang they just give out 200,000-500,000 for every governor or congressman. tpos lumabas pa yung report na malacanang has a problem with COA over their unliquidated cash advances and donations. but im sure everything will disappear and forgotten just ike the other cases filed. impeachment? how can you impeach someone who has control over the congress? e sa dami nag attend sa malacanang ilan lang umamin na nabigyan sila ng pera.
sana sinabi na lang nila nagparaffle sila sa mga visitors na one of the goodie bags contains 0, 200,000 or 500,000 hahaha baka may maniwala pa

accdg. to tulfo’s source, the cash gifts were puno’s idea. one can only surmise why he did this…can be traced to buying of loyalty. in order to perpetuate oneself in power, politicians do the next best thing known to them…vote-buying. past presidents denied doing it while in office but they did not deny doing it during elections. the cash gifts in malacanang is nothing new. it was just given at the wrong time and place, kaya nabuking.
remember during erap’s impeachment, news about multi-million payoffs circulated? its the same banana.
what else is new? now we hear news of the need to change leaders. w/ the same system in place, and same trapos, we will suffer the same fate….think of another way out.

Gov. Panlilio won without a well-oiled political machinery. He and Sen. Trillanes will also make it in 2010 without a well-oiled political machinery.

Why only now that you guys reacting too much like these kinds of old dirty political tatics? Eversince politicians are exercising these, even down to lower levels like the barangays are openly doing it. This issue is not new to us. Maybe we could just leave this issue to the people whom we trusted and voted to office. We hope that they’ll be truthfull , honest and open to their contingents that they are serving. That’s the game of politics. All of them are dirty. I don’t know any politicians these days that are clean and honest, even the ex- priest Panlillio for me is also not clean. We better describe him as his being an ex-priest and we can get a bunch of meanings on it just like an ex-convict, right?

i too, am tired of all these shenanigans of these politicians since time immemorial…but as long as there is a gov’t of patronage, and w/ congress as needed allies of a sitting president, this will go on forever.
the solution? why not adopt the form of gov’t of uk…when blair became unpopular, his party wasn’t able to muster votes in the parliament, thus he didn’t run anymore.
if the congressmen are all honorable, there would be no need to corrupt them. but, the system is an opportunity for corruption too, not only its people.
i see no end in sight except abolish congress, and then, we’ll save money as a result.
