You think you’re above the law? You are as arrogant as Trillanes & Co. You should show more respect for the authorities who are only there to protect the people (including you) and uphold the law. It is always a lose-lose situation when the police face the egoistic media.
If all hell broke loose during the Manila Pen standoff and some media men lost their lives, the police will be blamed, but then if the police try to [perform] their duties, the media cries harassment.

Why don’t we just think positively in order to bring this poor country out of disgrace? Think of something on what you can do for your country not on what your country can do for you.
Is there anybody around who can start a topic (blog) about “poverty”?
More than half of the Filipinos are poor. The poor people care more about their stomach not the EOs as what Kabayan always dicussed here.

Yes! we can and why not. But if you’re in the same situation your stomach is crueling of hunger you’ll say the same thing just like everybody else in this blog. But as you can see is not everybody talking about hunger. Because the Majority of people who have computer have money. In Fact some of them just critize other people because they can’t write english very well. Gloria Arroyo/cronies did the same thing, They’re calling Erap, Supporter’s stink, No education, No tooth among other things! I never forget those thing! This is one of the reason why I HATE GLORIA ARROYO, BECAUSE OF WHAT SHE DID, AND WHAT SHE’S BEEN SAYING TO THE POOR PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF. SHE’S ANTI-POOR EVEN THOUGH SHE’S FROM THE POOR FAMILY THE ONLY REASON SHE BECOME RICH’S BECAUSE OF HER FATHER DID THE SAME THING ROB THE GOV’T. COFFER THIS IS ONE OF THE REASON WHY GLORIA ARROYO, IS NOT GOING TO STEP DOWN FROM HER STOLEN POWER BECAUSE THERE IS PLENTY OF MONEY TO BE MADE WHILE SQUATTING IN MALACANYANG PALACE. IF HER FATHER CAN DO THE SAME THING, HE STILL BE IN POWER FOREVER. MGA KAWATAN TALAGA!

Rigodon ng mga kapit-tuko

Sinulat kamakailan ni Lito Banayo, kolumnista ng Malaya, ang nasagap niyang balita sa kanyang mga kaibigan sa Malacañang na magkakaroon ng rigodon sa gabinete ni Gloria Arroyo sa bagong taon.
Sinabi ni Banayo, at kumakalat na ngayon sa text, papalitan ni DILG Secretary Ronnie Puno si Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita. Bibigyan daw ng ambassadorial si Ermita o isang posisyon sa isang malaking korporasyon na lumalangoy sa pera katulad ng San Miguel Corporation.
Si Environment Secretary Lito Atienza raw ang papalit kay Puno sa Department of Interior and Local Government. Papalitan naman si Atienza ni dating congressman Prospero Pichay. Maaalala natin na si Pichay ay tumakbo ng senador. Gumastos ng malaki sa advertisements ngunit natalo pa rin. Ngunit maaari lamang maging DENR secretary si Pichay sa Hunyo pa dahil mayroong isang taong ban na hindi maaaring manungkulan sa pamahalaan ng isang taon ang mga tumakbo at natalo sa isang eleksyon.
Si AFP Chief of Staff Hermogenes Esperon na dapat ay magre-retire sa Pebrero ay ie-extend. Nang tanungin si Esperon tungkol dito, sabi niya handa siyang umalis na sa serbisyo sa Pebrero ngunit kung ie-extend siya ng kanyang among si Arroyo, siya raw ay “honored”.
Dapat talagang i-extend ni Arroyo si Esperon dahil wala siyang makuhang ibang berdugo na kayang bastusin ang Constitutions, gagamitin ang military bilang cheating operators sa eleksyon para lamang mapanatili sa kapangyarihan si Arroyo kahit hindi binoto ng taumbayan. Pinagpipilitan ni Esperon na malinis ang eleksyon noong 2004.
Wala nang ibang opisyal na walang atubiling sirain ang career at buhay ng ibang opisyal na walang ginawa kundi manindigan sa katotohanan at hustisya.
Sabi nga ng isang blogger, “Kung hindi pa naman ‘yan ma-extend, sayang lang ang mga patak ng luha niya sa mahal niya. Naaalala pa ba ninyo ‘yung punas-pawis? ‘Yung subuan ng lobster?”
Naalala n’yo naman kung paano umiyak si Esperon nang inanunsyo ni Arroyo noong Dec. 30, 2002 sa harap ng monumento ni Jose Rizal na hindi na siya tatakbo sa pagka-presidente dahil ‘yun ang ugat ng pagkahati-hati ng sambayanan. Malapit na ang anibersaryo nu’n.
Ang extension ni Esperon ay nagpapakita na marami sa ating mga heneral ang propesyunal kaya hindi sigurado si Arroyo na kaya nilang bastusin ang Constitutions para sa kanya. Sa pag-extend kay Esperon, marami sa mga heneral ang maaantala sa kanilang promotion. Pinapakita lang ni Arroyo kung ano ang criteria para umasenso ka sa military. Kailangang sumipsip ka nang husto sa kanya.
Sa kolum ni Banayo, sinabi niya na inalok ulit si dating presidential chief of staff Mike Defensor na bumalik sa Malacañang. Sabi raw ni Defensor, ayaw na niya dahil alam na niya ang ibig sabihin ng “political suicide”.

to engkanto….re propensity to put difft. meanings to other people’s thread…i think i can say that to you too, bec. to my mind, you interpreted it differently to what i really meant…like when i wrote guingona, labayen, orteza as alternatives…when i wrote those names, i did not mean that you wrote that yourself. that was just a joke, a sarcastic joke, a style w/c one uses to prove a point. get what i mean now? never did i say you presented them as alternatives, bec. i know you wouldn’t.
if you didn’t like the sarcasm, i am sorry. but, there was no malice intended, just a joke
but, good you wrote abt. this, perhaps the sarcastic style/joke may not appeal to some. i will heed you, will refrain from this kind of sarcasm.
re the aka b___t ni gloria, i think raul is correct in his reference to the word being inappropriate bec. based on the way this writer writes, methinks she’s visayan

There’s is a simple answer to our country’s poverty problem “Population Control or Family Planning”. It was the time of Cory administration when our population has rapidly gone up and which called the “Post Revolution Babies” because she abolished the Population Control Commission created by Marcos. We don’t have to blame the present administration for the poverty that the Philippines encountered today. We have to blame the Church for this phenomenon because they are against family planning. If you look the index for the most populous country in the world, the Philippines is in the list of top 12 most populous country and most on the top list are poverty stricken countries. Even the Philippines sustain the economic growth of 7-8% per year it won’t sustain our fast population growth of 2.5% per year. Before the EDSA revolution our population is only about 48-50 Million, now we have 85 Million population it was up more than 70% in the span of 21 years!
The root of poverty is the fast population growth. Our present administration should act immediately before it’s too late and not to be influence by the church or the bishops because they only want their followers to grow and they don’t care if our country is in deep shit.
