Reader reacts to Apostol apology

A FORMER congressman, a bar topnotcher and a public official, Secretary Sergio Apostol was one of the prominent politicians respected during his term as a congressman, championing the cause even of OFWs when he was one of the first congressmen to use their CDF to finance OFWs
overseas.

But as a Filipino with Chinese origin (from the Lim family clan), I find it hard to believe the good man Apostol as I used to see him become tactless in his words against Lozada, being emotionally driven as to spark the ire of the Chinese community. I can only imagine how much of a bad influence the Palace could give good politicians like Apostol. I have not met him personally, but I only heard good things about him in the past. Now this, such an outrage.

Regardless of who they are, or their origin, Palace should amply react to such an outrage, quickly salvaging its image by getting rid of such people who would tactlessly make such remarks against cultural or religious minorities in the country. Malacañang is looked upon as the epitome of public administration, regardless of how its image is being questioned these days, and should do its best to protect or maintain its integrity, for whatever is left of it.

    first thing first.

give me a country that is not corrupt. and if you can give me one then, i can say that the philippines government is really corrupt.
the problem with us filipinos is… we try to be saint in the age of sinners.

we try to be clean, while we are dirty as a laundry. we try to wash our dirt in televised investigation showing how filthy we are to the whole world.

the problem with the senate investigation is, they have a witness who is not credible at all. all what he says is what he heard and hears, as in the court of law is inadmissible as evidence.

we filipinos should be smart enough not to be affected and swayed by this kind of scandal.
Accusation of corruption is not new to us.
we did that to marcos and yet as of today, we cannot find his billions.
cory was targeted because of kamag-anak inc. and yet her kamag-anak remained her relatives,
    Fidel was accused of backroom deal of Amari and if we listened, the Fort Bonifacio will remain as fort and not a new thriving city;
Poor Erap, he was a victim of scandalous accusation which up to know he said he is innocent but deprived of governance on his term.

now, a new old reality tv is the headline news… same story, “corruption”, same production background,”the senate” same character”senators” new leading actor,”ponga”and the same plot to oust the president.

my only hope, no one will buy this.
as they say, ” no country for old men”
ang tatanda na hindi pa magkasundo.

    PEOPLE POWER NANAMAN……

    Gerry Albert Corpuz Says:

Si Apostol parang twin brother ni DoJ Secretary Raul Gonzalez. Partner in crime in Secretary Gonzalez sa pagbubuga ng mga nakakainsultong pahayag laban sa mga mamamayang lumalaban para sa katotohanan.

This old and has-been politician like Gonzalez wants the political limelight by pestering the people with his annoying political views that seek to justify the prevailing Mafia rule in Malacañang.
