What is your basis for this “fact” of yours that the rising peso is not directly an effect of the sinking dollar?

I’ll bet you, He won’t be able to explain it, Because they’re both liar like Gloria Arroyo!
the so call booming economy Gloria Arroyo, Bragging about nothing but PAD just like she PAD her votes in May 10, 2004. Presidential election against Fernando Poe, Jr.
Its true the Peso went up against the dollar, Not because Gloria Arroyo, Hard work. Its because of the U.S. economy!
Its true, The peso went up against the dollar but yon bilihin also went up! yon peso mo wala kang mabili. Sige nga, Try to explain this. So call rosy economy Gloria Arroyo, Bragging about. She sold just about every Government Properties in order to plug the budget depecit. How can you justify that.

GARCI: Yes Madame Evil GMA, No sweat.
GMA: A million vote, este… thanks pala!

GMA: ZTE is flawed… este what I was sayin’ is lost in translation. Let us asked CBCP for guidance. They are after all but men in robes… Fill their coffers…

Show that we are willing to solve the problems of the Philippines by starting with us….stop believing what are outrageously lies. The proof that we are changing our mga Pagkatao deserving of our Bayan is when we decide to stand firm in rejecting a government founded on lies, cheating, and corruption. Efren Narile is asking the fundamental question that many Filipinos are alluding to….HOW ABOUT OUR PAGKATAO? WHO ARE THESE FILIPINOS WHO SHAMELESSLY PUT UP THEIR FACE FRONTAL FOR PUBLIC VIEWS WHEN ALL THEY DO IS LIE AND DUPE THE PEOPLE?
Should we be surprised that so many governors of the Philippines’ provinces are standing behind GMA? BIRDS OF THE SAME FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER…AND THE SAD FACT IS THAT WHILE AMONG FILIPINOS WE CANNOT TELL WHO’S WHO SINCE THEY ALL LOOK ALIKE…UNDISTINGUISHABLE FROM ONE ANOTHER. ALL ARE DEGREED, GRADUATES OF PRESTIGIOUS UNIVERSITIES, LOCALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY; ALL PIOUSLY SAY THEIR ROSARIES; AND SHAMELESSLY, SOME ARE EVEN CALLING FOR A ‘MORAL RENEWAL’ WHILE HOLDING HIS TONGUE FOR CONDITIONS BEFORE TELLING WHAT HE ALREADY KNEW. ano kaya kapag wala ng magpautang sa ‘pinas meron pa kayang may gustong maging politiko? konti na lang at diyan mo na makikita kung sino talaga ang tunay na nagmamahal sa bayan.

When students 20 years from now look up Crook, it will say Abalos. When they look up Crooks’ Lawyer - it will say Panelo, who used to sell used cars in Daly City. Go figure.

The peso is not rising. It’s the US dollar’s value that’s sinking because of the slow down in the US economy. The OFWs dollar remittances is principally responsible for that holding up the Philipiine economy, and GMA should not take credit for it. This in itself is another form of robbery.
Take a look at how things are related. The Arroyos ask Abalos, etal to rig the elections. Abalos, of course, wants something in return, including a $130M flying parachute. All GMA can do is turn a blind eye, even if Neri has told her that Abalos has tried to bribe him/her. In fact, he has the Arroyos by the neck that she can change government policy from BOT to a loan package. Meanwhile, Filipinos are suffering so much because of all of Arroyos and her lapdogs thievery that they can not join any rallies anymore. They can not afford to lose one day’s pay because that means there will be no food on the table the next day. Meanwhile also, Arroyo and her tutas are using the money that they stole from us to bribe people to go into Pro Arroyo rallies.
Perhaps, we do deserve all of this. Per haps we will never learn. Perhaps, the best solution for all our woes, really, is to go abroad and in the end break our families’. It’s happening all over. Di bale, may pang mall naman tayo. Hayaan na lang natin na pagnakawan tayo. Tutal wala naman tayong magagawa.

Believe me, these politicos are just playing with the people - going over the fence to another party who has space for them. Nontheless, their interests are the same. The guy who sent the other one through the kangkungan is now shaking hands with the latter. (Both of them uttered almost the same line: Pupulutin sila (kayo) sa kangkungan). As if saying, that now they excluded me from the tumbang preso so then I should join your game of luksong tinik. The former losing all the amenities now has to talk bad against his previous boss, whatsoever. Very unethical - you don’t talk bad against your previous employer in front of your prospective employer, as he will expect you to do the same once you quit from him. When you don’t get the uling from the kitchen then you start the tsismis with the neighbor. Also, there is a lesson learned here: That never discuss anything in front of your coffee server. You know where I am heading to…

A witness commenting on a mental condition of an accused whereas he is not qualified to do so, then his testimony will have no weight. A corrupt testifying that a certain personality has committed graft can be admitted as a witness because he has no moral ascendacy. The trapos just want to use the current momentum for the people to uprise becasue they can’t find legal ways to directly link the president with the current issues. It is evident that the hero they are parading now was being used by these ambitious trapos for their political ambition; even using kanto words. Will you vote for an intrigera come next election. They should stay on course with valid arguments instead of making foul description of other people. Remember, it is Lenten Season, and we are taught by the church not to judge unfairly. So we must not even put the words in the mouth of our children, as if these kids already have the wisdom to pass judgment.

Abalos can’t even answer the question asked of him in ABS CBN’s show ‘Harapan’
Both were asked if they were willing to take a lie detector test. A simple yes or no would have sufficed.
Lozada said yes. Abalos never answered that question.
So Lozada is not a saint. So what? The point is he admitted his faults and testified truthfully. He knows so much because he was a participant.
Lozada was in the Senate for an estimated total of 14 hours being grilled by both opposition and the painfully obvious administration…(ahem…Enrile? Arroyo? Miriam ” I lied hahahaha….” Santiago) - and it turns out Lozada’s testimony was still more coherent than Abalos 30 second ambush interviews. -Same goes for the Mob that appeared at the Senate to discredit Lozada.
Esperon - Weren’t you the one who said that the AFP should remain apolitical? I just saw in the news this morning, may pa solidarity walk gimick ka pa. Is that what you call apolitical?

J’Lo is not a saint he was part of those mis dealings but for whatever reason that he became a turncoat and expose the rotting system we can still thank him for revealing what we already know and spark another revolution, although as I said we should opt for a transition government led by people who are not trapos or sons of bitches err trapos.

I think altho Abalos may be partially wrong in calling Lozada a liar, he is partly correct because based on the timelines and all the narration of Lozada on ABS/CBN-ANC, Lozada knew there was a commission way back when Neri told him to review the two proposals of Abalos & Joey de Venecia; if it was 35% it was alright corruption, and he did not denounce it right away; then Lozada said he did not want to appear before the Senate so he talked to both opposition and administration officials; he toed the line of the administration and even went to Hongkong and received money from Dep. Sec. Gaite, though he did not spend it because (I surmise) his use of his credit card would be covered by the cash awaiting him in Manila; he was a doble care in short; then when no friend or administration persons can find a way to help him in his predicament of having a part in the Abalos-Joey de Venecia commission quarrel, he found it to his personal interest (not the nation’s welfare) to denounce and expose it, usng the opposition version which is anti-GMA. When Secretary Defensor gave him money, he was still thinking of double dealing until the religious and clergy told him it is to his personal interest and the interest of truth to tell it; in short, it is a lie to appear as a hero, however much that appearance is propped up by some members of the clergy, the religious, the oppositon and the self righteous who, as Neri said, fails to analyze the history of corruption since Spanish/Filipino administration times and they have not found the real solution to the perennial corruption problem of the country because in their self-righteousness, they are blind and cannot offer a permanent solution to the culture & systemic defect of our constitution and laws.

Let’s just say Lozada is no saint. That is not the issue. His testimony stands above Abalos’s denials, lack of integrity and greed. The liabillities of Lozada takes a different platform from that of Abalos and co.

Abalos is a phenomenon. He is a unique kind of creature who has no qualms about stealing money. He is a cut above the rest. Sa kanyang tanda, he seems like he has no soul. Mike Arroyo is incorrigible. He came out from near-death experience, ganoon pa rin. GMA is a disgrace to her father. There is a need to dismantle the system of government kasi after GMA, si NOLI! The cycle will start all over again.

abalos has been in the government for a long time that acting & lying just comes out naturally.
February 24th, 2008 at 4:46 pm
i dont really know if he’s a liar.but he certainly has a penchant for histrionics and over acting

I do believed Lozada is a partly credible whistleblower but at the same time the public should look on his previous record in the Phil forest corp to establish his integrity in telling the truth. If a thieve is accusing another thieve, how sure he is telling the truth, no more no less? unless he should reveal first to the public his anomalies before so he would be 100 percent credible.
Abalos is not all lying, with fair proceedings, he has point that Lozada was never been threatened, as proof of it is his constant visits to Wack wack after that. But, if he is guilty, what the hell a comelec chairman doing in brokering projects such as NBN?
The ZTE scandal is just another monster that almost sucked the nation’s blood, but how about corruption in the local governments, the legislator’s pork barrels? the corrupt courts and police? are we just everytime having fun on changing presidents? this is just one branch of the rotten tree, how about the roots? are we just letting it to grow again?
February 24th, 2008 at 8:07 am
They are all liars….differ only in degree.
February 24th, 2008 at 6:15 am
I submit that Abalos does not even realize that he himself is the liar. And he knows that but does not want to admit it. At this stage of the game, does anybody really care what comes out of his dirty mouth? Get lost Abalos!!!. You are lucky you are in the Philppines where it is easy for big fish like you to get off the hook. You are not only a liar; you are damn greedy, too. In other words, you are a buaya.

i as an onlooker of the current situation between the NBN-ZTE whistle blowers (joey dv and jun lozada) and dependers (the malacanag, government at large, and abalos) i cannot help but think that without any significant political powers and deep financial pockets, the whistle blowers can make their stories straight and very much believable while the dependers could only come up with patches of seemingly and contradictory half-truth and pure lies statements.
There can only be one reason the whistle blowers are believable. . . and that is because they are TELLING US THE NAKED TRUTH. . . even i can see the plain and simple TRUTH here. . . I dont know about others though. . .

Abalos calling Lozada a liar, Abalos is wrong.
Lozada is not a liar, Lozada ay “Nuno ng Sinungaling”
You know beforehand that it is not acceptable in any court of law. Hearing is an impaired evidence. Much more if you tell what you hear the more it is not an evidence or in legal parlance, hearsay.

Dear Kababayan,
regardless if we come up dirty or clean, if the truth will come out or whether GA will step down or with any of this escapade well we still have to face the truth that nothing has really change from people power 1.
that’s the problem with being blinded by power as if they have the tendency to just fool honest to goodness filipinos.
the whole exercise clearly shows that we need a different kind of leadership & government management of resources. a tougher leasdership with a source of good example & strong patrionism.
I call on to the military idealists to now come forward and serve their country for they are the ultimate source of discipline, courage, loyalty and leadership that the country requires. Military take over of the country is a must to bring itself to discipline and progress. Enough of the democratic way, 30 years of this democracy never ever brought any real progress to us. the philippines only survive due to good luck but nothing due from good governance since there was none at all.

I am sad that our country is again in the midst of political turmoil. It’s so sad because the economy is quite doing quite well and offers better economic prospects. While everybody wants continued and sustainable growth so that an ordinary Juan Dela Cruz will one day benefit the fruit of economic progress but to me this should not stop Filipinos from also being critical and watchful of wrongdoings in the government. While everyone wants stability allegations of corruption should be seriuosly look into especially that the highest ranking political figure of the land is being implicated. One should not be blinded by the backdrop of high economic growth against corruptions in the government. While the gov’t is fairly doing good in the economy, they must also start curbing corruption. The only problem now is how can this be brutally serious when people in Malacanang and their cronies are allegedly involved in corruption and bribery.

Abalos is a cornered man. The ghost from the election computerization will haunt him wherever he goes. Now, he will not let himself be ridiculed by people and he will do everything to protect his “dignity”, if ever he still has one.
All he needs to do is: stand in front of the mirror, look on his reflection and surely, he will see on it hundreds of lozadas with long noses.
he has reached the point of no return. At this time, he has already succeeded in deceiving himself and make himself believe that he is innocent. Just like his boss GMA, they will stand on their ground now. Its do or die situation for them. Napasubo na… so pangangatawanan na nila yan.
Even if an angel from heaven came here on earth and convince Abalos to admit his sins, he will never ever admit his crime. He has a track record of anomalous governance in comelec. By that, we know who is telling the truth or who is telling lies.
All he wants is some payback. After all, he put GMA into Malacanang. She owe it to him then.

I think both of them are lying. But Lozada earns the upperhand now. Lozada is trying to keep up the fire but it seems losing steam. People are fed up already with this investigation. But why is Lozada afraid to face Erwin Santos. Between Lozada and Santos, it is Santos who has credibility. Lozada should file his case on court not just being used by Cayetano in his presidential bid. People should be smart enough not to be fooled by Cayetano’s gimmick. Rene Cayetano was also corrupt. Rene had so much backdoor negotiations. And also what about Cayetano’s corruption since he became congressman. He makes politics as business. Did Cayetano help the typhoon victims? Cayetano is using the media for his grandstanding and people should not be fooled. He is desperate for attention using others. Anyway when he becomes president, he will suffer worse from vigilants like us. People power will remove him. Cayetano is a fake and unscrupulous. Why he doesnt allow Santos to testify in the senate? He is just selective and self-serving. Let us see if Lozada and Cayetano’s noses get longer too.

In “AID OF LEGISLATION”. huwag naman sana maging CIRCUS ang tanong in feretting out the TRUTH.
Ang lalabas doon na frame up and gobyerno.

The fact of the matter would be…..everyone whose palda is nabasa, would have a “long nose”, thereby have “lied”.
Like what has been said…..its only a matter of who has the longest.
Sorry Abalos, calling Lozada a liar doesn’t erase a fact that you are a liar as well.
Here’s a dilemma…..its either you or Neri who is lying (saw it on TV). But then, here is Lozada corroborated Neri (and even DeVenecia III)…..so we have 3 against you.
Sorry Abalos, you seem to be the winner of the Pinocchio Awards!

If Jun Lozada, Is a liar. Gloria Arroyo, Is the biggest LIAR!
February 23rd, 2008 at 7:51 am
I would say to Mr. Abalos — “Look whose talking?” Every honest person in Mandaluyong City Hall and the City itself knows how corrupt you are when you were mayor. To those who can read human countenance, this man is a sworn liar. In some foreign countries hands are chopped off and tongues cut for persons like these. It would not be bad if we send these corrupt men to these countries and have them dismembered.
February 23rd, 2008 at 7:38 am
No doubt it will be Lozada, Abalos, and de Venecia, Jr. The others haven’t spoken as yet, so we can not name them.
February 23rd, 2008 at 5:22 am
I’m looking forward to see who gets punished!
February 23rd, 2008 at 5:00 am
I think Mr. Lozada is more credible than Mr. Abalos, he’s the LIAR! No wonder he had no action on the “Hello Garci”, he was then the COMELEC Chairman and yet he let them (GMA) get away with it because in the first place he was part of the grand conspiracy!
February 23rd, 2008 at 4:44 am
Bakit kaya I don’t see anymore the usual practice of placing your right hand on top of the Bible before swearing to tell the truth? How can you expect a God-Fearing individual to tell the truth? Kahit sino pa ang mapatunayang sinungaling o hinde, hinde parin nito magagamot ang corruption. The truth is, kahit sino pa ang ipalit mo sa pwesto, there will always be some form of corruption. Siguro if we assign a church representative to each govenment and local office, not to govern, but solely for the purpose of undertaking checks and balances, baka pwede pa. Otherwise, we are just reinventing the wheel, so wait nalang for judgement day. Sorry, yun lang ang naisip kong paraan.

Ms Arroyo never won the presidency, she coveted it, first from Erap, then robbed FPJ. To me, she is never the president nor will ever be president.
February 22nd, 2008 at 9:11 pm
This scandal shouldnt be aired on Tv and described in details in evey major newspaper in the country. For one to know who is lying, this case should be submitted into a court of law where experts can read what is written between the lines. The problem now is if the senate will make it go. as it is too obvious that they are making this scandal their staging point to whatever agenda they have in mind.

Comments on Sen Pangilinan pronouncement:
SENATE is the one responsible for Lozada’s safe keeping (as what they say, daw!) and into his move to fight and file case against his abductors (daw!), why pass seek OFW’s request to raise funds to support lozada’s so called testimony? are you dreaming beloved senator and senator’s? instead of preparing bill and laws to help OFW’s problems encountered during our bloody daily routine JOBS and send back dollars to our beloved family and supporting the country’s economic depression.
Instead of making laws, what are you doing our beloved senators? ride in a sailing ship of controversies just to get popularity (since Filipinos are fund of voting government officials who are populars with great immages as so called “ARTISTA’S”).
Instead of raising funds from OFW’s, why not tap the shoulders of your brothers and sisters senators who are recently on board the cruise with the captain Jun Lozada’s cat like smile during his award winning FAMAS/ SENATE testimony, to personaly donate your Million Pork Barrel Fund where Mr. Ping Lacson ussually and humbly offered to anyone who needs it, as he ussually said he didn’t need it (for delicadisa DAW).
OR
Collect from all the TV Stations covering the daily show in the senate, in an ambush interview your (SENATORS) talent fee since from the very beggining where senators elected run mostly by oppositions are choosing to be like celebrities where they want to work very lovely with CAMERAS.
Dear senators, please don’t make “Juan de Cruz” put more weights on the CROSS he is carrying, he suffers a lot not like you (SENATORS) are delighted talking infront of cameras mostly from TV stations with your colors.
Conclusion: Why raised fund for your so called “HERO”? he has sufficient money, remember his acknowldgement that he is not perfect and he made mistakes earlier during his term as president of Phil Forest Corp., meaning he earned a lot being the president of the company, that is why he disiminated some hectars of govenment land not to himself only but to his next of keen and family circle, why solicit fund to poor OFW’s?
Respectfully yours,
OFW’s from Libya

He should instead introduce a bill to make every person in government make his/her source of income public knowledge; this includes their salaries, their bonuses, their commissions, freebies, anything that increases their assets and wealth while they are serving the “poor”.
Yung mga naghihikahos na tulad ko, alam ng mga auditors at creditors kung magkano ang assets and liabilities ko, to the centavo. Sila kaya?
Francisco Mangaoang Franco

I am suggesting that instead of Pangilinan asking OFWs like me to donate money for a whistle blower’s cause, why don’t politicians like him just do it on their own?
We are helping our economy (at the price) of loneliness by working alone abroad, leaving our family back home. Is he afraid that his pork barrel, or CDF as they call it, would be diminished?
If they are really sincere in attaining honest and transparent government, let them do their share because we are doing ours. That’s the reason you were voted by the people to your current post – to be a server to the people with good governance.
One more thing, people in the government should strive hard to create job opportunities back home so that OFW talent can be enjoyed by our nation and not by any other nation. OFWs are sometimes treated like slaves by their employers.

it really doesnt matter how Abalos calls or names Lozada. His mouth is futile.
the public, I for one, already knows who’s who in the quest for truth.
By common sense, I see Abalos as villain and Lozada the defender of truth now.
Abalos et al, again your words have no credibility. (period)
