Our garrulous senators

QUESTION: How many Philippine senators does it take to change a light bulb? Answer: 24 plus their assistants.

I can only observe with distress why nothing ever gets resolved in this country. Malacañang says they will not attend Senate hearings unless the Senate publishes the rules.

How many debates will we have over radio and television? How many statements to the press will we hear? How many bombastic and self-righteous remarks are we away from resolving this?

Maybe I just have a simple mind, but if the rules are already there, then just publish it so we can get moving on these investigations. Isn’t that the simplest, most direct step to take? Can these supposedly learned and principled men for once just do things right?

Just publish the damn rules and get it over with! What is so difficult with that?

MC_90 if you still pretending our country is on the right track tama ka sa sarili mo lang, but sabi ko nga mas kaawaawa ang taong nagtatanga tangahan, nagbubulag-bulagan, at nagdunong-dunungan…hay pag ganyan isip ng pilipino talagang papalubog na tayo…

Sabi ko na sa`yo, abbygail, kumandidato tayong presidente; this is one way to unseat her! The advantage for the people is hindi tayo masyadong magnanakaw.
Lozada–fear of implication when this thing really explodes which, in his own “tuso” way, he saw coming. Hero? My brown and smooth patootsie! This word has become so cheap in its prostitution we might as well pronounce it “(y)ellow!”

    Big Fish Says:

MBC executive director Alberto Lim said “Catching the Big Fish” would focus on such cases as the P728-million fertilizer scam involving former Agriculture Undersecretary Jocelyn Bolante; the unexplained wealth of military comptrollers including retired Maj. Gen. Carlos Garcia, who is charged with plunder; the P700-million IMPSA power project; the P1.04-billion Mega-pacific vote-counting machines; the NBN-ZTE deal, and Malacañang’s P500,000 cash gifts to congressmen and local government executives.
