I THINK the government can and must do more to educate people on proper waste disposal and recycling.
Some places in the Philippines are observed to be a giant trash pit and because of individual habit and the “don’t care” attitude, more money is being used when calamities such as floods come. Furthermore, it’s a huge health issue which concerns everyone and costs the government millions.
Educate! Educate! Educate! Educate the masses. Provide social (barangay) seminars in all levels of society.

BTW, dont think that removing Gloria without educating the masses/society of responsible voting will remove the stink. IT WILL NOT!!! it will still stink… If you dont believe me..DOGs already showed an example, no matter how many times they eat their shit, it still stinks everytime they shit it out again. So dont think like a dog!!

Actually Mrs. Pidal and wonderwoman, the blame shouldnt be on PGMA. We dont blame Pasig river for being polluted, we dont tell Pasig River to flow somewhere else because she stinks and even changing the name of the river will not remove the stinks. We blame the people living at its banks including the factories that dispose their waste into the river. PGMA is like the polluted Pasig River, her govt is corrupt because the society made her so, even if she steps down the stink is still there, because the root cause of this stink is not resolve. So if you dont want to have a stinkin river or govt, educate the society, so they can vote wisely. There are more than 30 million voters, they can only cheat up to 3 million votes the most, if this 30 million voters can support only one deserving candidate, no amount of cheating can beat them. Dont throw your garbage in the river, similarly dont throw your vote on wicked politicians otherwise you will end up with a stinkin river and govt.

Im sorry, I commented on the wrong blog topic. Its suppose to be “The Dead Rivers” topic which pertains to our natural resources all together. I got carried away in stupidity by the dumb poets: Pogito, Wonderwoman and Mrs Pidal.
Going back to the topic, if we Filipinos are shouting for political will, we as citizen should also have our voluntary will of making our place clean.
Whats the difference between the Filipinos,Singaporeans Americans and the Europeans when it comes to the environment???
