In her much ballyhooed State of the Nation Address (SONA), Arroyo did not hide the fact that she has done nothing during her term as President to alleviate the problems of the country when she proclaimed: “Our country and our people have never failed to be there for us. Let us be there for them.”
Now, “Why just now?” And while admitting that the Filipino people have been very patient with her scandal-ridden term, she adds insult to injury by continuing to put the burden of VAT on the shoulders of the masses. The very same people she acknowledges to have “footed the bill”….ang nag-salba sa bayan! Arroyo should step down, not because of her dipping popularity ratings, but because she has admittedly failed to lead the nation out of its doldrums!

matsing, matsing, matsing…
and also to mang godo, lolo bosyo etal…
we never blame gloria for the misery of our country, we only criticize her for her illegal and unconstitutional actions and allowing trapo politics and widespread corruption…
we never accused her for nothing, after her terms ends (hope shell kept her promise) tons of evidences will come out, as of now this govt has a lot of legal blockade with the help of malacanang mafia and arroyo corrupt-poration,may katapusan din at hangganan ang lahat…
re your nonsense accusation of us who criticized gloria regime as jobless, tsismosa and etc. …tingnan mo muna ang sarili mo sa salamin…
for myself I have business to run and have people who depend on my small business, this electronic means of voicing out and informing the public is to make people realize and to be be awaken and open their minds of the wrongdoings and illegal and unconstitutional actions commited by the people who suppossed to be our “public servant”.
nagiging manhid na ang kasalukuyang generations because of thinking na pareho-pareho silang corrupt, but if we know how to act and united as one w can eliminate or perhaps lessen corruption.
social services? daming dole out projects pero all accounted ba lahat ng funds with people who are handling the funds are credible..50% di nakakarating sa taong bayan.
accountability? daming cabinet secretaries who failed to their duties are still in the position, what we get? failed programs…
a lot of people still want to help, with my group who diverted our meager resources to help various foundations and Gawad Kalinga instead of govts social department because they never fulfill their role as public servants…
Im still hoping for our leaders to change heart for our country and our people, may panahon pa if they are really sincere and honest to provide and serve as real public servants but they are busy to be in power beyond 2010 and that is the bad story for us a a republic.
God save our country

Because, thats the only thing they see. All her shortcomings! Yan ang hirap sa ating mga pinoy. Educated naman, 3 times a day naman kumain, pero madaling mapaniwala. Please please if you are jobless right now or have a big financial problem, don’t blame it to Gloria. Blame yourself on just standing in front of your tube listening to unconfirmed reports about the president. Always remember, the thruth will always prevail, thats why she’s still there and erap doesn’t!

MANG GODO Says:

To Maria Makiling and De los Reyes,
Ang masasabi ko lang ay ito, kung tutuong hindi maganda ang pamamalakad ni Gloria ay bakit tatatlo kayong nagrerekalamo kasama na si Bauzon out of 85 million pilipinos.
I always talk to my relatives back home and never did I hear them complain about life much more say bad against Gloria.
Look at the streets of Manila, except for jeepneys plying its route, the traffic is clear. No protest people.
Maybe there are people who don’t like her and you are three of them.
As americans always complement… Good Job.
To Gloria… you’re doing a great job.
—–
MANG GODO, sorry to disappoint you but when you said only 3 of us out of 85 million people do not favor Gloria can you please explain why public surveys show she’s the most unpopular leader this country has ever had?
If your relatives in Manila have nothing to complain about good for them. There are fence sitters, you know, and people who are simply numb to feel and sense anything wrong.
Yes the streets of Manila are clear of demonstrators. Because the cops and soldiers in uniform are already there before the demonstrators could even assemble.
To be fair, I acknowledge Gloria to be a good economic manager, but what I do not accept is she has allowed her presidency to be tainted with corruption. In the absence of evidence of guilt, the fact that anomalies and scandals linking her, and her resorting to executive privileges as her shield, give rise to doubts as regards her innocence. It is sad that the good job she has done to improve the country’s economic situation is negated by her political mistakes. It is error in judgment that makes her a bad political leader. If you still cannot understand that there’s nothing more to discuss.

Beijing Olympic opening and venue is magnificent and spectacular.
The best among the very best.
Amid its technology and modernity, is the cooperation and support of the chinese in holding the olympics.
Amid its spectacular show is the unity and pride of being chinese.
Lesson learned from the chinese is the unanimity , teamwork ,pride and sensitivity, nationalism and patriotism.
I hope this olympic fever will contaminate the filipinos, especially our politicians and oppositionists that there will be no achievement if there is no PAGKAKAISA AMONG US FILIPINOS.
If not, then we will just be content on our version of Bird’s Nest, our own Pugad pipit and Water cube is like our own Tubig Batya… a symbol that we cannot go far beyond.
Let’s have this Beijing Olympic fever infected on our skin and soul or else we’ll be content on our version of olympic fever as lagnat and kalintura a disease that never cure that’s why they call us sick man of asia.
In short enough of bickering, let’s get back the fervor of nationalism of being filipino.
NI HAO…
