REACTING to government’s call for the MILF to surrender Kato and Bravo, Murad said: “It is not logical for the GRP to tell us to surrender Commander Bravo and Commander Kato because they are not bound by Philippine laws.” How come Mr. Murad is saying that the MILF men are not “bound by Philippine laws?” Does this mean that when he goes to Malaysia, he does not use the Philippine passport or is he dreaming of pledging allegiance to Malaysia? Another question is: Is he anticipating of incorporating the Bangsamoro land into a federation with Malaysia? Wow, what an unfortunate page in our history had the MOA been pushed through. I think the Mr. Esperon would have been the national hero of the MILF men. Mr. Murad can migrate to Malaysia where he can be happy in his own right and forget dragging others to be with him.

Abdullah Maulana
To Mr. Benavidez
I think you need to read the history of the philippines when spain rule this country for hundreds of years. Bonifacio, Rizal, Aguinaldo and many filipino heroes did not stop in their quest for independence and they succeeded.
You might believed that you are one of the direct benificiaries fom the result of the Philippine national hero. We love them and until now filipinos mourn in the date of their death…….
Remember again that you are colonized and Moros resisted. the treaty in Parish in which spain surrendered the philippine to americans did not include the Moro land because they that for how many years they had not colonized us.
After the formal declaration of Philippine independence, the government ILLIGALLY annexed the Moro homeland and send settlers to grab our land.
now settlers become majority in the Moro homeland and even treated us second class inhabitants in our very own turf. IF YOU ARE MORO WHAT SHALL YOU DO? or If you are not directly affected by the conflict WHAT CAN YOU SUGGEST TO THE MORO PEOPLE?
Finally let me take this opportunity to appeal to the ordinary civilian in Mindanao (both Muslim and Christian) to unite and join us fight these injustices mastermind by Mr. Lobregat, Manny Pinol and Mar Roxas. Mr. Roxas is Honorary chairman of New Jerusalem Movement (NJM) and Pinol is founding chairman in Moro Land. If the two guys succeeded not only muslim resident of Mindanao will be affected. You may know how JEWS treated the Christians…

“It is not logical for the GRP to tell us to surrender Commander Bravo and Commander Kato because they are not bound by Philippine laws.” This according to MILF chief Murad.
If that is the case, neither is it logical for the Philippine government to recognize them as nothing more than a group of terrorists. If these terrorists are fighting for their so-called ancestral domain and are prepared to die for it why don’t they fight Malaysia to recover Sabah that rightfully belongs to the Sultan of Sulu? It’s good to know what their real intentions are. The MILF never wanted to assimilate with the Non-Muslim Filipinos in Mindanao. Not even with their own brother Muslims who believe in the Constitution and the rule of law. Not even the MNLF from which the MILF began and aspired for the creation of the ARMM. Once independent, the MILF will work for annexation to the Malaysian federal state. That will be the ultimate goal.
BOTO
TELL MURAD TO GET OUT OF THE PHILIPPINES AND WIPE OUT THE MILFS WHO ARE CREATING ATTROCITIES IN THE ISLAND OF MINDANAO IF NOT FOR THEIR MEDIOCRICITY PHILIPPINE ISLAND IS NOW PEACEFUL BECAUSE OF THEIR BACKWARD MENTALITY.

To Mr. Maulana,
It seems that you did not read the Philippine history well. Moros are reluctant to join the Filipino revolutionaries because Americans and Moros had a secret deal that Mindanao will give to Moros as independent state, which didn’t come through.
Moros are opportunist, back fighters and cannot be trusted. Look what happened to your hero Nur Misuari? The Philippine Government gave all he needs to develop Mindanao but what he did is opposite. He’s no different with the traditional politicians.
And now here comes Murad! Another hero of Moros and pretending to be a light shining armor of poor moros. The Philippine Government should throw these war freak moros to Sabah and retain those peace loving moro people in Mindanao!
Mindanao as a whole will no longer tastes the economic growth if these morons are still living in Mindanao, they should extradite to Malaysia where they are belong, since their mentality is annex to Malaysia.
You are always saying ISLAM is peace, but what the morons did is opposite! These war freak morons are disgrace to their religion.

The MILF rebellion should stop. It has only brought further damage to society and it hampers development in the land of Mindanao and development of the whole nation. The MILF has brought more disgrace to themselves than benefit to what they are fighting for.
The MILF will never succeed. Good, peaceful and positive things will always prevail.
The Moro land is part of the Philippine archipelago. Beyond our national law, it is recognized by the international law as such. The reason why MILF will never succeed is that, they are not only against the national law but even against the international law, much more to the law of God which considers any kind of rebellion against an authority a sin.
It is not a question of whether the Spaniards occupied the Moro land or not. It is not even a question whether the Moro land was surrendered to Americans or not. Why should the Spaniards surrender to the Americans what they have not colonized in the first place? But the fact remains that the Moro land is already established long time ago as part of the Philippines as a nation, as established by duly constituted authorities (the law of the land and the international law). Any rebellion against such authorities is against the will of God and constitutes a sin against God.
The idea that the MILF should use their forces to get back Sabah from being occupied by the Malaysians is a very good suggestion.
Let’s pray for peace in Mindanao. Let’s pray that all the MILF would change their heart, fill their spirit with love instead of hatred, lay down their arms and just continue to live and worship God in a peaceful community of a civil society side by side with non-muslims.
Peace will never be attained with any kind of ideologies-muslim or non-muslim ideologies. Peace can only be attained with the greatest value of life-LOVE, the greatest attribute of God.

Whats wrong pledging allegiance to any country? Every Filipino is born with a pledge to the United States of America. The rejects go to Canada, Australia, and to prisons and the hovels of the dreg colonies. Those who says they love the Philippines are those whose green cards are not approved yet.
DOM
While no one ever questioned our eternal desire to be added to the United States of America!

The conflict in Mindanao will be there for as long as the Muslims feel that they are being oppressed. Some brilliant politicians have suggested an all out war with the MILF. However, I am sure that it will not stop and kill MILF. MILF will live as long as there are Muslims in the Philippines. May I suggest that all politicians who wants to get their hand into this particular problem do their readings to better understand the situation. By giving their own opinion without any basis doesn’t do good to the present situation but rather complicate things and endangers the relationship between the Muslims and Christians. Unless, this is really the scenario they want.

Article III.
Spain cedes to the United States the archipelago known as the Philippine Islands, and comprehending the islands lying within the following line:
A line running from west to east along or near the twentieth parallel of north latitude, and through the middle of the navigable channel of Bachi, from the one hundred and eighteenth (118th) to the one hundred and twenty-seventh (127th) degree meridian of longitude east of Greenwich, thence along the one hundred and twenty seventh (127th) degree meridian of longitude east of Greenwich to the parallel of four degrees and forty five minutes (4 [degree symbol] 45′]) north latitude, thence along the parallel of four degrees and forty five minutes (4 [degree symbol] 45′) north latitude to its intersection with the meridian of longitude one hundred and nineteen degrees and thirty five minutes (119 [degree symbol] 35′) east of Greenwich, thence along the meridian of longitude one hundred and nineteen degrees and thirty five minutes (119 [degree symbol] 35′) east of Greenwich to the parallel of latitude seven degrees and forty minutes (7 [degree symbol] 40′) north, thence along the parallel of latitude of seven degrees and forty minutes (7 [degree symbol] 40′) north to its intersection with the one hundred and sixteenth (116th) degree meridian of longitude east of Greenwich, thence by a direct line to the intersection of the tenth (10th) degree parallel of north latitude with the one hundred and eighteenth (118th) degree meridian of longitude east of Greenwich, and thence along the one hundred and eighteenth (118th) degree meridian of longitude east of Greenwich to the point of beginning. The United States will pay to Spain the sum of twenty million dollars ($20,000,000) within three months after the exchange of the ratifications of the present treaty.
the above art. 3 of the Treaty of Paris of 1898 signed by USA and Spain delienates the boundaries of the Phil islands being ceded to the USA. If you know how to plot these lines and points, you will see that it includes everything that the current Philippine map shows except Sabah…I don’t know what treaty is Mr Abdullah referring to.

Bigotry will lead us nowhere, Mr. Maulana. And this little word was and is the seed of all other big words in history—genocide, ethnic cleansing, H-o-l-o-c-a-u-s-t. I sense that you have that anti-Zionist stuff in your blood. Fact, Mr. Maulana, is we are all of the same clan! Abraham had two sons: Isaac who had Jacob renamed Israel and bore twelve sons to form the twelve tribes of Israel. But do you know who his eldest son was? Ishmael, the father of Arabs. He and his father, according to the Qur’an, built the foundations of the Ka’aba.
So there goes. We are all guilty of fratricide, my friend.
As for Mindanao not being Filipino, well, Lanao representative Tomas Cabili did not sign the 1935 Constitution—historical precedence. And annexation? You cannot hold that as a crime. You want historical precedence? The United States annexed Texas, California, and every other state not belonging to the original thirteen! Every nation and state that had the ability did so. Mindanao would surely have done so too if during that era it had the means to do so. Then we would have been one Muslim country who got invaded by Spain, colonized, and converted. But isn’t that what happened? Weren’t the datus of Manila and Cebu Muslims?
But, come on, let’s cut ourselves some slack for the love of God! Can’t you see that we are a group of islands set apart from the conglomerated islands of Southeast Asia? Come together, the song goes. Already!! We have lost our way far too long.
Rizal
The Katipunan revolutionary army is to free the filipino people, not terrorize them, burn their houses, rape them, kill women and children so dont dare to compare the Katipunan and the so called “MILF”. Katipunan army is well disciplined and have a “real” chain of command and purpose, and they are fighting for a “real” second class status of all filipinos… while your MORO ILF is fighting “hallucinated” second class status. what you moro can do is to study in school so you can be respected instead of pointing guns to other people to demand respect.

Crazy, just crazy! Better if Murad will have his head check-up.
In spite of the fact that Malaysia expatriates back to the Philippines hundreds of Filipinos who are considered as illegal aliens, still he would elect to be loyal to that country.
I had an experience once in Jolo, Sulu. There was a gathering on the roof deck of their city hall. This was about 30 years back. At that time, Princess Tarjata, was there. Local government heads attended that gathering.
Before the party began, Princess Tarjata stood up, got the microphone, and said, “Those among you who do not appreciate Malaysian music may leave.” Of course no one left, lease you get a bullet in the back. And the Malaysian music went on the air.
For many years, people of that region, does not appreciate their relationship with the central government. Perhaps, because of the proximity of the place wherein Saba is just few hours trip, and more so, because the rest of the country are populated with Christians.
I was also there when hostilities erupted in Jolo sometime in 1970’s. The military, from time to time, would open up their howitzers (cannon) towards the mountains. Funny, but I didn’t hear any explosions in the target. (They must be using blank cartridges.) Anyway, what I have analyzed during all these trips I had was that, the genes of these people are warriors by nature, and extremely brave.
They, just like the Koreans, are best of friend, but worse as enemy. They are hot headed in their dealings towards Christians. No appeasement or diplomacy would suffice to please them. They are mad with their Christian brothers, period! They never accept the fact that we are one nation, one Republic. To them, it means nothing.
And I am sure that what has antagonized them is that, during the times of ‘short live, the then President Ramon Magsaysay, when he declares Mindanao for the Christian brothers from Luzon and Visayas to colonized, hell broke loose. For the Muslims in Mindanao, these were an invasion by unwelcomed guest, by the unwelcome Christians.
These Muslims would like to have their own identity, their aspiration, their independents, and their land. Primarily, all these involve land! Like the Tamil tigers in Sri lanka, like Kosovo, the Croaks of Yugoslavia, like the ethnic Hawaiians, the Indians of North America, the Eskimos, and all other displaced or conquered race, these conflict is eternal. Time has no value to these aspiring people.
Sad to say, THERE IS NO SOLUTION. If we give Mindanao and Palawan, what will happen to the millions of Christians? I just hope that the conflict will not lead to war of attrition. And secondly, war is expensive.
Better if Malaysia accepts the likes of Murad and his tribe. Perhaps, that is the only solution for lasting peace. Let them get back borneo from the Malaysians.

Mr Maulana,
You should re read your History . . .
Tribes who profess Islam abhor being called Moro . . .
Neither Muslims were treated 2nd Class Citizens . . .
There were Muslim Senators and Assemblymen before such as Tamano, Alonto, Lucman, Adiong . .
It is your Inferiority Complex that is holding you back.
I know the so called “MORO” were only united because of a Common Enemy, and that is the Government.
When you are left alone, you are killing each other ala tribal days.
Just think deeply! or view this:

Well, sir Abdulla Maulana I understand your opinion regarding your lionization of the moro’s resistance against spanish colonization and used the same as a valid
reasons of our fellow Filipino muslim struggle for a homeland in Mindanao. Please give the title of the history books that details the moro’s resistance against spanish coz I wanna buy one. I just wonder why the moro’s had not file up to this day any protest from the treaty of paris if indeed their land had been taken from them illegally. I just wonder why the spaniards freely roam around mindanao during their colonization and even exiled Rizal in Dapitan. If there was really a real moro resistance against the spaniards, then your rich and educated muslim politicians some of which had even became senators could have made public or could have write history books for such very important effort of your ancestors.

to most people against the moro people of mindanao, you must read well, review and understand to the fullest why are the moro people of mindanao are still fighting up to the present time. The Moro people deserves the right to exist and be treated fairly and equally as citizens of the Philippines south. The new generations must not create hatreds amongs many people of moro dominated mindanao who wants to live in peace and in harmony, christians and muslims alike must work together and accept each other as mindanao inhabitants and not as filipino or moro separately. Please stop generalizing muslims as terrorists or anything that represents bad image amongst the religious sector as well.

how could these separatist fundamentalist terrorist possible try to grab by force mindanao.see the way of thinking.ABNORMAL! yes i say so…people from way up north to visayas made their fortune in mindanao who purchased lands and cultivated it.become better off in life and now that they have realized that these hard working people have made mindanao progressive they want back mindanao solely for muslims.my gosh your population does not even match and it is insignificant of your claims to bansang moro. why not just try to live in peace. in the first place why did you sell your lands to immigrants who made mindanao a little better. if there is peace in mindanao,it should be the most progressive island in the philippines due to its natural resources..change your mentalities now before its to late to turn around especially those existing leaders of so called separatist..they will bring you to nowhere except kaos in your whole life and generations to come and makes your life more miserable because they are poisoning and rottening your mentality.kung baga ti notorture lang kayo.

If you go to Mindanao, the MILF are the most unpopular people both to Muslims and Christians alike. Suggestion to Moros they secure a loan from Malaysia and buy a piece of land in Mindanao from a real estate broker and call it Villa Bangsamoro. Lets face it, this is Philippine land you are talking about covered by the Philippine torrens system. The MILF has absolutely no fire power to match the AFP. Look at Bravos camp. It was over ran in just 1 week. Even Camp Abubakar which was the Camp Aguinaldo of the fully armed MILF yet it was over ran easily. Problem is we are sometimes to kind, nice and soft to our Muslim brothers. Sometimes being to soft to them makes them think thaty they are already being accorded with a certain status. I think Muslims dont care about this supposed “muslim homeland” and all that Bangsa moro banana republic. Like ordinary Pinoyus, what the majority of moslems want is simply to make a living and live and make live. In fact a lot of Muslims in southern Philippines are already taking up nursing with the dream of going abroad just like other “non muslim” Filipinos.
Ben of Datu Piang
I am from Maguindanao. I grew up there and most of my relatives are still there living their “normal” lives.
I think the MILF and the rest of the rebel groups are useless at the least and terrorist at the most at their current form.
There are just 2 basic things that I think cause the poverty in our so-called “Bangsamoro” land. These are fear and corruption.
Commerce do not grow because most investors fear investing in our place. Farmer’s harvests are stolen by rebels. Properties are burned. Local businessmen are harassed, forcing them to diversify their business elsewhere peaceful like Davao or Cagayan De Oro. Thus, entrepreneurship is low and employment is also low.
Corruption is also a main cause of poverty and underdevelopment. There are a lot of foreign aids misused and a lot of ghost projects. And who voted for these local government officials?
We already have a chance to have autonomy via the current ARMM. And I think if this is given a chance, lives of the people and the heritage of the Muslims will be enriched. Provided we choose to vote the right people who will truly represent us and focus in the improvement of our Bangsamoro land.
So the goal is for this MILF people to instead devote their energies and resources to educate the people of the Bangsamoro. Be more involve in social development. Be more involve in protecting the lives and properties of the inhabitants. Enough with the violence that creates more fear.
The MILF should be initiators of peace and development and prove to the our people that you are truly our representative.
You say you fight for us BUT we don’t even know you! The common/ordinary Muslims doesn’t also know this MOA. And you have the audacity to claim that you represent our “cause”.
Make us know you more. Show us that you are not just goons but people who are also concerned with our daily lives. Make us trust you. If we are guided and educated properly it will be natural for us to use our votes wisely.
Maybe you can be our next local officials who can lead us to a better Mindanao.
There is no need for violence. Just use your so-called “freedom fighters” to guard our votes from goons of the traditional politicians.
As of now, you are just a LOUD group. But you are NOT the MAJORITY of the Bangsamoro people.
Lastly, lets us forget the past atrocities to the Muslim People. Past is past. We have learned from it and we are stronger. And we have also learned to co-exist with our Christian brothers. I’m sure Allah will bless us more if we choose forgiveness over revenge.

Abdullah, hello. . .what is this called a Moro homeland? Can you tell me where can I find my Christian homeland? Long before your first missionary came to Sulu and ours in Limasawa, we all were called. . . in my opinion, Lumads! Let not religions divide us!
The settlers. . .you refer to the Filipino Christians who came to Mindanao . .work hard as farmers, and now own a wide areas of farm! show your proof that they have had oppressed and grab the land of our Muslim brothers. . .
injustices. . .please show details! and I don’t know how the Jews treated the Christians!
Jose De Verdad
To Mr Abdullah Maulana
I don’t understand what you mean by saying that you are second class inhabitants in your own turf. Muslims are holding most of the high goverment positions in Mindanao. In fact, christians are resigned to the fact that they can not be promoted to the higher positions because the muslims are prefered to be promoted.
And yet you are still not satisfied.
Why can’t we just try to live harmoniously together as muslims and christians? You know, most of the christians are very patient and peace-loving. Most do not have guns.
Why do you need to insist on the bangsamoro homeland?
Christians are very afraid of the MILF athrocities. Do you think they will agree going under the rule of their savagery? It’s happening now, what more will happen when BJE will realize? Do you think your lives will progress when you do this?
For the christians, lobregat, pinol, mar roxas and others are heroes. So please don’t say bad words against them, ok?
Angel
Stop using Malaysia as a facilitator with the so called peace proper. What is Malaysia’s ulterior motive? create chaos in the Mindanao area so no progress will take place.Prosperous Philippines will then
be strong enough to confront them economically, militarily so as take back
Sabah, which rightfully belongs to the Philippines.Later on,BJE will become one of
their states.Filipino politicians have no balls in dealing with Malaysia.
idiot
What moro land? There is only Mindanao populated with various Filipino tribes. And it so happens that most, NOT ALL, Tausugs and Maranao’s were converted to Islam. Now you say Mindanao is a Muslim land? What about the other 14 tribes that indigenously lived in Mindanao? Besides, there was not a single Tausug or Maranao in Mindanao 10 million years ago! You yourselves are migrants from somewhere.
Migration is part of life.

To Mr. Abdullah Maulana:
Sir Please read your history very carefully. Parts of Mindanao was already under Spanish rule during its time. To say that Mindanao was annexed, is foolishness and utter ignorance as there were Moro representatives to the 1935 Constitutional Convention representing Mindanao’s disputed areas- meaning they recognized themselves that they are FILIPINOS.
Mindanao (including Sabah) is considered as part of the Philippines (even in maps), when the country was formed and ruled as a colony by Spain.
Blame does not rest solely on the government with regard to the poverty and war in Mindanao. Prosperity and peace is a shared responsibility and a shared goal. It is a community effort.
Paralleling the Mindanao situation with Jews and Christians is a very ignorant comment- it is in no way the same in many levels - it is very different in historical, socioeconomic, politico-cultural millieu.

To: Mr. Maulana
You know your history alright and so am I. This is the history of Mindanao beyond the books. The Moros had been in Mindanao since Spanish time; indeed that’s true, so was the LUMADs?.There are several indigenous people in mindanao called lumads who doesn’t belong to the bangsamoro, do you think they need independence too? Then who really owns Mindanao? The Moro? which tribe? Does the MILF represents the entire muslims in mindanao? What about the MNLF, do you think they already have their fare share? Open your eyes mr. maurana even neutral politicians cannot answer these questions straight on. Moreover, even the maranaos, tausugs and the maguindanawans cannot even agree to themselves. Have you heard the pronouncement of commander bravo is totally opposite that of the MILF leadership, puro na nga sila MILF iba-iba pang ang sinasabi. The bangsa moro caused had messed up this island we call the land of promise. We love this place…that’s why my grandparents migrated here from cebu before the outbreak of world war two to settle in Mindanao to claim that promise. They manage to legally acquire a few hectares of land to cultivate (i.e. with title). They even bought an uncultivated land from a well known muslim family in their area. My grandfather once said that the muslims had this land for a very long time yet they never bother to cultivate and reap its full potential. I was born and raised in Mindanao, I’ve been a witness to several wars happening here since my childhood and up to the latest. We did not grab this land as what the MORO claim, we legally own it, cultivate it and make it productive that’s why you can’t blame us that we are going to fight tooth and nail to defend it. Yes we own guns, but we don’t show it and thrust it to the air and praise the name of our God.
Do you know the problem with the MILF, they have a backward mentally and a very laid back and lazy attitude. And a false sense of superiority against our laws and the government itself and mind you, these are the same people who wanted to impose Islamic rule in the Mindanao, com’on, look what the Taliban did to Afghanistan. On the other hand there are moderate muslims who adapt change and mingle with Christians to conduct their business and trade. Like the native Americans who adopt the western way of life or the aborigines who in Australia who never result to arms yet manage to preserve their individuality. These are the kind of muslims that we Christians wanted to embrace and shake hands with.
What we Christian needs is respect and tolerance and the right to live peacefully and co-existence. What we fear of the BJE is that the MILF will use it to declare independence and somehow manage to acquire military hardware and anti aircraft weapons from Islamic countries that could severely blow our own military. Once it signed, that’s it, they don’t need the referendum as mandated by law because they don’t recognized our Philippine law in the first place, remember? I hope the MILF do not under estimate the FEARS of the Christians because we have strength in numbers and the capacity to do otherwise if push to the wall.
mrg
muslim or not, nobody has the right to kidnap and kill innocent civilians, burn their houses and property, all in the name of fighting for freedom. nobody is above the law. murder and terroristic acts cannot be called by any other name other than what it is.

I hope that’s an offer coming from a true patriot son of Mindanao.

The only reason Muslims in the Philippines are using a Philippine passport is that they still do not have a state of their own. But they will, in the future because that dream will never die, even, assuming the AFP can kill all the MILF. But what is not possible in the first place.
So many people are arguing for the sake of national unity that this country called the Philippines be one forever. The choice is: to stay as one then never grow or as two or three then jointly grow. The Bangsamoro being in the Philippines is like a forced marriage. they were never asked whether they want to be wed to the this corrupt country and now they want want a divorce for good. And why?
The Bangsamoro problem started when people for other parts of the country, using all laws and other instruments, occupied our lands, massacred our people and usurped our right to determine our future.
People of Manila tell us this is good for us, when we say that is not good for me.
Good for Bangsamoro?
Is there anything good int he Philippines? All branches of government corrupt!
The Law protect only the rich!
The Majority oppress the minority!
the Media only reports Christian civilian deaths, but there are many more Muslim civilian deaths by AFP howitsers and air raids.
Is that good?
NO WAY!
Tolits
To “Don”,
You’re a great pretender, a Muslim hiding in a Christian name of Don.
All Filipinos whether Muslims or not are free because all of us live in a democratic country. Our freedom is guaranteed by the Constitution of the Philippines. You’re so free that you can even exchange your nationality to any country you choose as long as they will accept you. It does not mean however that as a free man, you can do what you want that violate laws and remain free. Any violations of law will be dealt according to the existing laws of the land.
You and your ilk are not the sole owner of Mindanao. This land is for all Filipinos. If there is any piece of land owned by your tribe that were land-grabbed by somebody/s (natural born Filipinos or other naturalized Filipinos) then, bring them to court. Mindanao is not a land resided only by Muslims hundreds or thousands of years ago. Don’t create a logic that only the Muslims are residents of Mindanao generations ago.

Mr. Don may have a reason why he is saying that the Philippines is a corrupt country. If Mr. Don cannot do any good to make a little change for the country to become lesser corrupt, then Mr. Don has a reason to leave the country for good. Better if Mr. Don could invite Mr. Murad to go with him to a place outside the Philippines.
One very good thing in the Philippines is that we have too much freedom. And if one cannot do anything for the country more than just being a burden to the society, he has always the freedom to live somewhere else.

I understand your worries once this Moro land is ruled by moro people with little control from the national government. But surely, your worries is what we are experiencing under the oppression of moro people to the national government.
The Kolambugan incident had been headline of TV, Radio, New Papers and other media outlets. the called it civilian massacre committed by MILF. If it is massacre why only those killed and not all the people of Kolambugan which i think possible for one day seige?
The AFP attack and bombardment in Poona Piagapo, Pantao ragat and Munai, all in Lanao del Norte and most of Maguindanao areas which cause the distruction of properties and killing of innocent civilians is rarely seen in the news break. you know until now there is a continuing blockade of relief assistance and loathing of civilian properties committed by philippine military.
Going back to the issue of Land Grabbing, I think i need to refer you to the NARA (the Now DAR) accomplishments/records in the land of promise.
based on the following issue, what can you suggest us to help restore peace in Mindanao so that We Muslim and Christian can live side by side peacefully?

TO pia gaylon;
You said RIZAL was exiled in Dapitan, Mindanao. Now why not in Cebu or any other areas that was controlled by Spanish? probably when and enemy is exiled it should be in an area not controlled by your enemy. for the History Books, Come to Aga Khan Museum in MSU, MArawi City so you can have more reference.
TO George…
Thats true that we are moro fighting even of the same tribe. you know why? because of three laws that exist in our MOro land. they are the Phillipine constitution, Sharia Islamia and the local Tartib and Igmah. if we will be allowed to have our independence, that three laws will be combine into one (Sharia Islamia).
TO Rizal
You said the Katipunan Army is to Free the Filipinos. For Umbra Kato and Bravo action is also an act to free the Moro people, except that civilians were affected which is prohibited in Islam. for the chain of command you are saying… are you aware that Bonifacio was killed not by enemy but by Aguinaldo?
As to the issue on different crimes, Islam porbid any form of crime against any individual including the enemy if that enemy have no means to fight back or hurt you.
For your suggestion for us to study, yes thank you because islam command us to study from cradle into grave. surely we are studying and the focus of the study is to defeat the enemy of islam.

You said moros did not join filipinos fighting for philippine indipendence. that is one justification that national government should let us free because from the very begining we are different nation.
for your comments that we are not peace loving people. how would you react if i occupy part of your room forcibly and ask you for us to live peacefully? can you live peacefully in that situation?
Please open up your eyes of the mindanao situation and help your brother and sister moros live in peace…. our request is simply, we dont want to be part of the Philippine Republic and you probably do not like us. The area that we are claiming (the one delineated in MOA-AD) is an areas in mindanao dominated by Moros. nothing more, nothing less.

In this new forum, we take another angle of vision on politics and insurgent war, government’s amelioration programs and even its peace-making efforts to invite concrete suggestions from our readers: What can Filipinos of goodwill do to help close the centuries-old gap between Muslims and Christians in the Philippines? We repeat: concrete suggestions will be the most helpful where actions speak louder than words across a long divide of miscommunication, misunderstanding and distrust.
This is an important step in putting forward the historical perspective and correcting present perceptions of our brother christian toward Filipino Muslim. This is done by
serious problems in understanding the multiple facets of the conflict and that we tend to bunch, to make the same decisions about the way Muslims are.
The traitorship of Christian brother during the Spanish era is unforgiving, where Christian from Luzon and Visayas sided with Spaniard colonizer. After the Spanish time, Philippine government is continuing in their effort to bring the Christian to Mindanao to enjoy the vast majority land. Hug by the high valuable and vast natural resources of Mindanao. Added by the coming of martial law, injustices were committed to Muslim Moro. It is not easy for us Bangsamoros to heal what our forefather bears during this period, we have suffered much alleviation from the Spanish to the Japanese and to the Americans and yet we suffered from out own brothers Christian from Luzon and Visayas who still cannot understand us.
We respectfully site some example of this:
1. The Christian author biases towards Muslim is unfolded. They still portrayed Muslim as a pirates and bandits. They cannot understand that Muslim fight for the right of the people to coloniazation whiles the writer (Christian) bow to these colonizers and yet Muslim is still the villain.
2. Bias media - It is the media of the West which has portrayed Islam to be something that is not. It must be stop the bigotry
It must stop the bigotry in the media by the
likes of Ramon Tulfo and Maximo Soliven and the blazig
headlines of “Muslim” Kidnapper or “Muslim Killer”
forgetting that the most famous “Filipino” Killer is
the “Christian” Marcos and most kidnappings happen in
Manila committed by “Christian” kidnappers and you
have the famous Filipino plunderer “Christian”
Estrada. It must compensate every Muslim that have
been victims of its official acts. It must prosecute
and put to jail every soldier who have committed human
rights violations against the Moros.
As explained earlier, there are three trends visible in the world as far as Islam is concerned. People are hateful of Islam, People are fearful of Islam, People are ignorant of Islam. Those who hate Islam come from right wing Christian and Zionist ranks. Those who are fearful of Islam come from extreme liberal ranks. Those who are ignorant come from the ranks of those academicians or media people who are still refusing to learn about the faith from direct sources. All three have developed a distorted the picture of Islam and Muslims. They try to fit every action of Muslims in this distorted picture. For instance, if they find a few Muslims engaged in violence, they would find its roots in the religion. However, if they find a few Christians o Jews involved in violence, they would not blame their religion for that.
In the US, some 400 people die every week in Gun violence. Yet no one in the media blames Christianity or Judaism for that. While the fact is that those who support Gun lobby in the country are primarily right wing Christians and Zionists.
I explained earlier that there are three main reasons for the prevailing negative attitudes about Islam.
1. Ignorance: Some people are really ignorant because they are either lazy or too pre occupied with other things to learn about Islam.
2. Hatefulness. There are people who hate Islam for what it is. They view Islam as a threat to their survival.
3. Fearfulness: There are those who genuinely fear that their lifestyle will be impacted once Islam becomes part of their life.
By going through the teachings of Islam, it is clear that such a religion has only come to benefit mankind not to destroy it. So why is there so much hatred for this noble religion in the West? The answer is simple, the media. It is the media of the West which has portrayed Islam to be something that is not. However, it is known by the heads of the media, that the likes of the PLO were not an Islamic organization, and that Shi’ites do not represent Islam. Yet such facts are never portrayed by a media which seeks to cover the truth of this religion. A number of years ago, when the Oklahoma City bomb went off, a headline in one of the British newspapers, ‘The Today’ summed up this attitude. With a picture of a fire fighter holding a dead child in his arms, the headline read: “In The Name Of Islam”, Time has often proven that this bigoted assumption was incorrect, as Timothy McVeigh, a right-wing radical now faces death penalty for the crime. The desire of such people to throw a veil over Islam is immense.
Whilst trying to destroy Islam through this instrument of the media, they clearly try to portray an image of themselves as being the oppressed people. Every year, we are reminded as to how many Jews perished under the Nazis in World War II. We are made to feel sorry for these same people who have gone on to commit so many crimes upon the Palestinian people. If this media was truly impartial, then why does it not tell about the extent of the Israeli bombardment and illegal occupation of Southern Lebanon and its people? And if this media really had nothing against the religion of Allah, then why does it not inform the people that everyday hundreds are entering the religion of Islam? Such things will never be highlighted in the Western media, simply because to do so would be against their interest.
I agree with you that we should try to alleviate the tension between us and we should remove any misunderstanding about Islam. This can be achieved however, by returning to the Divine fountain of these religions and purifying them from corruption. Both Muslim and Christians agree that religion should be used to call for peace, love and co-existence, not to slaughter innocent people.”

Let’s move forward to peace and prosperity and not blame what had happened in the past that we can no longer change. We need an honest to goodness peace and reconciliation here. Let us put aside anger and revenge.

To Mr. Abdullah Maulana,
I understood as most Filipinos too, that part of Mindanao are populated by Moros and Muslims since time immemorial but it doesn’t mean the Republic of the Philippines had to break apart just because of cultural, social not even for religious reason.
No country in the 21st century with proper senses will allow that to happen except when Indians are forcibly partitioned by the British to paved the way for Muslim Pakistan.
The Moros was given the chance to govern themselves under the ARMM and Misuari was its first leader, but what they have done? Misuari just enriched himself and Muslim political clans continue perpetuating their dynasties through violence and corruption.
Mindanao is underdeveloped because of political warlordism, islamic militancy, and the existence of brutal terrorists groups like the MILF and MNLF who deceived the Moro people as their legitimate saviours.
The Philippines is from batanes to jolo, even to Sabah who was stolen by Malaysia and will never break apart!
No way to Moroland!!!

Mr Abdul,
You should keep in my mind that If Muslims are being being tagged as criminals and terrorists by these days modern terror and violence its because Muslims are proudly claimed and shouted “praise to allah” everytime they commit barbaric crimes across the world.
Can you cite and incident where your so called christian and jewish terrorists shouted their religion after such a crime?
Remember those suicide hijackers of 9-11, how about those who bombed Madrid trains? and Palestinian suicide bombers who glorify Islam before detonating those bombs? Did you hear a christian praising Jesus Christ before making a crime? or a Jewish man holding the torah before detonating himself? how about these brutal crimes of Umbra kato and Bravo against innocent civilians in the name of their faith?
Now, can you blame the west for this wrong conception about Islam? You should blame people in your faith who continue to hijack Islam and involved peaceful muslims in their evil desires..
