Wala namang pulitiko na hindi kurakot eh! Ang importante ang performance sa serbisyo publiko. Kurakot ka na nga hindi ka pa nakakatulong sa bayan mo. Anong tawag sayo? Eh di bwitreng pulitiko. Don’t tell me si Obama ng america hindi kurakot na pulitiko? kurakot din sya pero hindi naman garapal kung kumurakot, hindi katulad ng nakararaming mga pulitiko sa atin na garapalan kung kumurakot. Buhay pa sinusunog na ang kaluluwa sa impyerno. Kaya lagi tayong napapag iwanan ng ating mga karatig bansa dahil garapalan ang corruption sa atin!

Hindi sa itsura pinagbabatayan ang isang magaling na leader kundi sa kanyang performance at good governance.

I was particularly pissed at Binay because he had the gall to compare himself to Barack Obama. To be frank, Obama’s previous performance far surpasses Binay’s own service record, not to mention he plays to the common sense and decency of his voters.

Listen to any one of his speeches - you’ll know what I’m talking about. Obama had substance - he made perfect sense and didn’t make any false or exaggerated promises.

I find Binay to be more of the trapo ilk - all gimmicks with no real substance.

it is naive for binay to believe that managing a city would earn him the skill to manage a country.

he should hold some national office first then maybe in the future . . .

Binay a trapo? I don’t think so. Trapo means it connotes to a politician underperformance.
Not only same old face of politics and gimmicks. By the way, Mayor Binay is not underperformance. If I were you better to get the sentiments of the people in Makati. If majority of the people in Makati hates Binay. You’re right Binay is trapo.

You hit it right and for the record, the only significant office that Binay held aside from Makati City was the MMDA when he was assigned by disgraced ex-Pres. Estrada.
During his tenure, no improvement in the MMDA’s services was seen. The only memorable thing that Binay did is to propose that all traffic enforcers be allowed to carry firearms.
Fortunately, Binay’s proposal was shot down immediately by concerned lawmakers. Just imagine what will happen to hapless motorists if these mulcting traffic enforcers were allowed to carry firearms.
It is very obvious, in this case, that Binay’s disposition and judgment in holding responsibilities for higher office changed dramatically and for the worse.
If we are to qualify him in this respect (which should also be), Binay failed miserably.
