ITis a crying shame that, in our benighted country, those who diffuse light and luster are snuffed out. Reports say that Supreme Court Chief Justice Reynato A. Puno, one of the most illustrious men ever to serve our government, is being targeted for impeachment. He is being flagged down for taking the high road – his intellect, integrity, and independence have enabled him to make a difference not only in our judiciary, but also in our country. Those privileged to be in the sunlight of his presence can bear witness to the depth and fullness of his life and works which seemed to number none but shining hours. His towering intellectual achievements and his spiring moral standards have given us a glow that illumines so we can hope against hope that we can fix our wreck of a country. Honor to whom honor is due. Here is a good man and true.

a good lesson for those who want terms extension for the president and themselves. in their effort to dislodge a possible stumbling block , what they are getting instead is a very strong alternative for president.
there is no strong united opposition, and there appear to be only proven greed and wrongdoing with the ones in power. justice puno stands out as the best and only other choice. and if the majority of people elect him, then we will have by then a truly legitimate president, voted by true people’s vote power.
senator lacson’s idea that he will back out in favor of the chief justice should likewise be what the other presidentiables should do. all of them should rally behind the chief justice with one thing in mind :
love of country above personal ambitions.

I agree with the fact that indeed at this point in time, we need a leader that personifies “truth and justice”. With the kind of leadership in the government that we have right now it is high time that we consolidate our ranks and deny ourselves and put forward a concerted effort to field “a moral person” to the highest office.
But first let us all exercise prudent and patience. Don’t let this “hot situation” put us again in a dilemma that we will going to regret in the future. “wag tayong magpadala sa simbuyo ng damdamin”, wag padalos-dalos sa mga desisyon.! One stride at a time. Everthing will fall in its proper place. All the ingredients have already put in the pot, the cooking has started, boiling is in the process. Just more patience. It is the character that is very hard to bridle and yet worth taking for.

Victor, take it with a grain of salt Lacson’s claim he is giving up his presidential ambition to give way to CJ Puno. Lacson is way down in the totem pole of presidential wannabes that’s why he has no problem saying that. He’s too ambitious and I don’t think he would withdraw if he were running first or even second. He knew FPJ was way ahead of the race but it did not discourage him from running.
No question CJ Puno is like a fresh whiff of scented air that can restore respect and integrity to this country and government. Respect and integrity that we do not see in anyone who aspires to become president.

Ay nako! Hindi ko na mabayaran ang mataas na Business tax ko, lalong hindi ko mababayaran ang Real Estate Tax pati.
Ang kakaragkarag na sasakyan ko, puro kalawang, naka parada na lang sa kalye dahil wala akong pangasolina, at paso narin ang plaka.

About 1.2 billion pesos can not be tallied in the Balance Sheet of Quezon City because of missing receipts, none submission of supporting papers or bill of purchase, and many other anomalies.
There is a big difference between the ledger and the Bank statement of Quezon City Government which runs to hundreds of millions.
Another Commission on Audit report states that several Quezon City Bank deposits were closed although there is still several hundred million still intact.
The last laugh will be mine kung buhay pa ako.

Palagay ko hindi panahon para tayo ay magpatawa. Ang nanyayari sa atin kung saan halos lahat ng tao rito sa ating bayan ay nagdurusa sa isang bagay na hindi nila kasalanan ay dapat nating bigyan pansin.
Ang biglang pagsara ng 10 Rural bank sa kabila ng nalathala sa pahayagan na may sampung buwan na sila ay may suliranin sa kanilang “financial condition”, tuloy parin ang pangungulekta nila ay hindi katangaptangap.
Ang biglang anunsio na bankarote na ang mga “pre-need institution” ay higit na kahirapan at nasirang pangarap sa mga umaasa na mapagaaral ang kanilang anak ay isa ring hindi katangap tangap.
Mga kababayan nating nawalan ng trabaho, mga mahirap na namatay na lamang, dahil sa kabila nang billiong piso ng Department of Health, ay hindi nakakarating ang libreng gamot sa kanila; kapatid, mamulat ka sa katutuhanan.
Tayo ay na sa “Guinese Book of Record” na bansang pinakamaraming namatay dahil sa “Salvage”.

ok, si chief justice puno. pero, kulang pa. dapat nililinis din niya ang supreme court at mga courts. ang daming corrupt at immoral sa court pero d niya iyon nakikita. marami kasing nagtatakip doon na taga supreme court mismo. hindi na kailangan ang nbi para malaman niya iyan. sa service reputation lang ng mga nasa courts, dapat alam na niya yan, pero bulag siya o nagbubulag bulagan lang siya.
