Looking for an Obama

Your article "Youth and Change" really made me think and I do agree with you that the youth will be the key to change. Problem is that only a small number of us truly care about the country. I’m sure we all have our opinions about the country, the government and our economy. But not everyone is so concerned to actually act and do something about it. In fact, there are those who don’t even have their own opinions because they simply do not care about this country. But you can’t blame them if that’s how they think. I mean the Philippine government has done so many frustrating things and sometimes you wonder if there’s anything good which can actually come out of it. I think it’s time for change in our country. Not a change in the system, but a change of people who run the system. If the same families continue to be in power, the only thing that will happen is the continuous deterioration of our economy. For me, this is why Obama “clicks.” He is not from a typical political family. He has his own thoughts, opinions and outlook in life that comes from the point of view of someone who didn’t have everything as a child. “Obama and his legions of young supporters showed that it could happen in America. Can’t we do the same in the Philippines?” I think the right question to ask is WHO can we support to do good for this country; because I think it’s high time for someone to step up, and that someone should know the true meaning of being a leader. Someone who knows sacrifice and service—and that is what being a leader is all about. I am sure when the right person comes, the Filipino youth will support him just like how the Americans supported Obama. Erika Casas, Ateneo de Manila University, via e-mail

@Erika Casas

As a voter, I concur with this statement. I consider myself to be bitterly cynical about local politics, mostly because virtually all the candidates I've seen so far are fickle, shallow, and utterly hypocritical.

On the other hand, if we can find a candidate with some genuine substance to back them up, and one who can prove to me that they will treat us as adults - instead of dangling sweet, but nevertheless unfulfillable promises of change - then I just might be voting this 2010.

Bakit sigurado na natin na maganda ang preformance ni Obama? a pro abortion leader..endorsed by Oprah na nawala sa pananampalataya sa Diyos (Hesus Kristo) In the old testamant times lahat ng naging leader ng Israel na hindi sa katuwiran ng Diyos ay hindi nagtatagumpay at walang takot sa Diyos (Psalms 112) Only those that fear in the Lord at will ng Diyos na Leader ang magtatagumpay dahil the Government is God given, hindi sa sarili niyang will bagkus according to God's will ang kanyang governance and attitude, I think Obama is not! God Bless the Philippines.

I was a college student also 20 years ago. I was an idealist like you. You will find out soon enough that corruption will not change even after 1 or 2 or even 3 elections here.

Obama won because his opponent's party manage to mess up their economy. Obama will not solve all of America's problems. Even if Obama is the president here . He will still fail to corruption.

Let me save you the disappointment. Things will not change because of a change in leadership. What will solve our country's problems is one word: Sacrifice. Filipino people must sacrifice their personal interest for the country's interest. Too bad, that's not going to happen anytime soon.

Yes, I do agree with you that there are only few people truly concerned in our country.

Obama symbolizes change and I just hope his optimistic vision about the world will transcend here in the Philippines...

I think Ms Erika is right but the problem seems to be dearth of leadership.

Gone were the days of politicians of the types who promised the moon and the stars so to say. Trapos.

People replaced them with anything, actors and actresses for example who were never been in politics.

Heard this at the barbershop, "I love the Philippines, well, until my green card is approved."

When something spectacular happens, we Filipinos try to imitate.
That's why Filipinos have no originality. Everything is copied. All imitation.

Just like this Obama thing.
A once in a lifetime happening that cannot be duplicated.
And everybody wants to do an Obama.
But we are late. Why only now?
Rizal said that Ang kabataan ang pag asa ng Bayan.
This was said over and over again in classroom but nobody listen.

Now that Obama made history,we want to be an Obama but we forgot in our history about what Rizal said about the youth.
In short, sagana sa salita kulang sa gawa.

Dear Erika,

Your generation should rally together in spearheading the long overdue change in the way our country should be governed.

For time immemorial graft and corruption perpetuated by those politically well connected bosses of government entities,( SEC, GSIS, etcetera) had numbed the populace and turned them into zombie like followers.

Voters in general are tacit participants in squandering public funds by selling their votes every election day.

I would like to see our country in the hands of leaders who have the: brain, will and discipline to govern for the people. Someone in the like of Lee Kwan Yew of Singapore.

I don not know much about Dr.Walden Bello, but I believe he has the qualification to become our next president if you the young generation and mine will be able to support him all the way to Malacanang.

I therefore nominate Dr.Walden Bello for President in 2010 presidential election.

Before looking for an philippine Obama, we better wait how the US Obama will look like after a year in office.
If running againstanother candidate than Hillary Clinton, he probably would not have been nominated. But esp. the black voters did not like her attitudes and have seen her as a solely white candidate, not to mention that, right or wrong, she looks very arrogant.
And Obama, who has not much extraordinary record of prformance, is now simply doing one thing: Do as much as possible contrary to what bush did. If and how long this is enough and ever possible, we have to see first. Spending more billions to the marode industries will put an extreme burden to the recent and next generation, but probably not bring many new jobs. It is rather helping the firms to survive with much cut down employment. Like the car industry, he can give them unlimited financial support, still they can not employ workers if car sales are down. No cars needed, no workers needed.
One solution would be more automated production for to save labor costs, but it also means more layoffs. Besides, it also would take years to transform the existing production style.
So, the government support would just modernize the industry at the cost of hundredthousands of workers, who of course then would not buy even cheaper cars. Daimler Benz lost billions with its US adventure and had still not been able to bring its US partner to a competitive level. And the same problem will come up to most of the now heavily supported perts of the economy.
Interests are down now for to make businesses able to get cheap credits, at the other side it deprives common bank clients of their needed interest income on their savings, more, if inflation is higher than interests then the savings lose their value and purchase power. Withdrawing the accounts for to avoid such losses would then let banks crash or request also money from the government but still cutting their number of employees down.
Sure, that is not Obama's roblem only, but it shows that he could have extreme problems to fulfil his promises and the expectations of his voters.

pls. let me become the devils advocate for the above subject in contention.

first a person with a phd in business management or doctorate in economics does not guarantee and warrant his/her the qualities of a great leader.

second, i-m-o,- great leaders are natural born who fully understood the two (02) burden of leadership;

that is -- accountability and responsiblity.

we had bonifacio, rizal, mabini, the sub-continent of india had the gandhis, singapore have lee kwan yew, the usa contributed their leaders like the washington, lincoln, jefferson, fdr, ike,patton,dug-out doug, mlk: from the old world came salahadin,el cid, nelson, churchill, luther, napoleon so forth and so on. got my drift here?
these peoples are peoples' leaders and not just wannabe leader.

leadership is an art that great leaders must practice religiously in order for them to excell on this field. management and leadership skills are twin sister akin to the electric and magnetic force, and never shall part that a great leader must used as a tool for the emplimentation of his tactical and strategical plan for the great scheme of things.

so, i hope that it is safe to say that we all have to define first what leadership is and what is not. what kind of leadership styles the future leaders of our patria adorada needs? and lastly what leadership styles the leader will praticed that juan dela cruz will put in charge of all his endeavors?

is the future leader that juan dela cruz will elect on 2010 would have the leadership styles of an authoritarian, coercer, a coach, affiliator, democrat, or pacesetter? or will he/she possessed and used the combination of the two or more leadership styles i posited above?

on other issue, mr. ebreo from the great state of illinois mentioned on his blog the name of mr. walden bello. i read dr. bello's published articles here and there. he got resume'. a up diliman professor and also hold a revered position here in the usa academic world. the metioning of dr. bello's quicklly reminds me of the elite group of pinoys from the cambridge-goddard - aquaintances of the late daniel 'boone" schirmer the founder of FFP and ms. barbara cort-gaerlan.
dr. bello's reputation usually preceded his credentials. or is it the other way around? on any rate, he-bello- has a clean slate to start with. why not?

any comment/advice, mr. cruz, mlqlll, david, joma montelibano et al??????

just musing?

Obama has lots of determination. As the saying goes, "He dared where no-one fears to tread."

The economic outlook in the 'states' and the rest of the world is so grim. And the problem will not vanish in years to come. The attitude of the Americans on their spending habit has drastically change Here on, the Americans will be wisher, concentrating more on the essential items rather than buying luxurious items. Brand new cars are no longer the name of the game.

No matter what the U.S. government and other governments do, ultimately, the buyers will have the final say. Gone are the days of free spending.

With the miser attitude of an average individual, for fear that, he would have to fend himself for the future, this will lead to closures of hundred, if not thousands of industries.

With that kind of attitude, we have not seen the bottom of this economic meltdown yet.

Worst is yet to come.

Worst indeed if Obama (which he favors), he will encourages Americans to buy and patronize their own product. With that kind of policy, ECONOMIC PROTECTIONISM will ensue, and will affect the global trade.

Consequently, there will be mass unemployment, starvation, and a situation worst than anything we have ever imagine.

International trade will slowly stop.

Obama is in great predicament.

As a youth full of idealism, Ericka is looking for change.
But who is that change.
Just because of Obama, he would be the model of change.
Obama is different because America is different.
America is the fulfillment of a dream, America is where that dreams can happen. And Obama is the dream that happened.
In America, anything is possible.

But in the Phillpines, you're stuck up. There will be no Obama.
In color, maybe, as Binay is saying he is the pinoy version of Obama.
In Phillipines, opportunity is limited.
You cannot come from nowhere and be like an Obama to be head of state.
The culture of politicians is deep rooted in the blood of politicians.
Even newcomers, young and old alike are politicians of old.
Their fathers, grandfathers, great grandfathers were polticians.

As Rizal always said, "Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan"...
But the call is empty for the youth to become the hope of the land, they are already old when the calling ends.
Well, Obama is a dream only in the Philippines, once we open our eyes, we see our politicians, and it is day and nightmares.
Idealism is dream, politicians is bangungot.

If all the people from below begin to empower one another to do something for the common good, a culture of good will and service for country would result and a leader would immediately emerge. Effective change happens from the bottom up. Forget about looking for leaders, instead I would encourage young people to empower themselves to do good deeds. You would be amazed at the miracles that would follow.. I just read about the project that the students at Ateneo de Manila had participated in, I am talking about the Payatas Project to help the residents of that area learn skills to improve their lives.... it is most inspiring. I visited RP recently and I am so proud of the positive things being done there to help improve the lives of the poor. Why don't we hear about these things overseas? All we hear about are the corruptions of politicians. Please shout to the whole world the good deeds ordinary Filipinos are doing for their less fortunate relatives, and country men. We are a great, generous, hard-working, caring people. We should recognize this in one another. Non Filipinos recognize it and say so. Really!

I heard that the Cha-cha has been approved in the house. Tsk.tsk.tsk...So, with the turn of events, can there possibly be anotheer Obama when the Philippine politics is changing 'political climates' here?

God bless our country...

Just wondering. Why the fuss over this Barack Obama? Suddenly, even in this country, everyone seems to be hoping for an Obama like candidate in 2010. Just asking? What did Obama accomplish as a junior senator from Illinois? Nothing as in NADA.

He is just a novelty and being black and a superb orator, but to be good requires more than the color of ones skin or the capability to mesmerize audience with trite sound bytes.

Who needs Obama in the Philippines? I don't. If he happens to be the president of the USA now, it is because the whites are not racist while the blacks are. Blacks voted 97% simply by Obama's color. He has nothing to show in terms of accomplishment.

Maybe, he can do many things. But to be overwhelmed by Obamania when nothing concrete he has really accomplished as a politician is stretching things a bit too far.

Dear Ms. Casas,

Suntok sa buwan yang sinasabi mo.

You have forgotten what happened to Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago during 1992 presidential elections. Youth power mobilized during that time but what happened? Because of the electoral fraud, she lost the Presidency. Pls. lang we are not America…Philippine politics still dirty for the next 100 years and beyond!

Does it take an Obama to awaken the Filipino youth? The filipino youth does not to go farther. Remember Rizal's quote? "The youth is the hope of the nation" How about Ninoy Aquino's "A Filipino is worth dying for" I think this should be enough. These are the people who sacrificed so much for our country. Study your history. So please, for our country's sake, let's stand on our own feet and be a patriot. We don't need an Obama to change the rotten system of our government. And change will not come unitil we let ourselves be corrupted by those bunch of idiots in politcs and the governement.

About change and doing the Obama thing in the Philippines. So much have been said about it like everybody should do this and that, look for a leader with this and that and the list goes on.We are back to the 60's and 70's activism where the radicals would talk about change but not willing to work hard to effect change. They were trained to run their mouths and organize rallies but change it did not. Many of them, in fact, failed miserably when appointed to government jobs. They have been in Congress and cabinet posts but it did not change a thing!Nowadays a U.S. radical(Obama is) is defined as one who talks about change and work very hard to effect change.Clean-shaven and sporting short hair, he wears nice and decent clothes projecting an image as clean as the wind-driven snow.He does not flaunt his radicalism and talks like a moderate. In contrast, our radical flaunt his radicalism by projecting a hippie-like appearance and talking like a marxist or socialist turning off moneyed-supporters.He might be able to organize big groups but if there is no money to grease the wheels, the same won't turn on.Translation: no change effected.Based on the above, the difference between the 70's and today's radicals is so glaring that it is easy to see why Obama won the presidency.Obama is not the first e-politician.Howard Dean was.Obama was able to improve the e-grass-root movement first started by Dean, he that can be likened to Wright brothers flying the first airplane and Obama to Apollo launching.Don't forget that Obama got the support of the super rich like Oprah, Buffet, Sorros, Geffen and others. He collected more than $600M to run his campaign but only 20% of that came from internet supporters. You can see that it is still the old money that won the election for Obama. So please stop kidding ourselves that the internet youth voters can win the election for our president.Don't you think?

Teacher of colleges and educators of the free, nuod ka nalang ba?

I am ahead of the curve.Last month in one of Harvey's blogs, I built a case why we should throw our support to Gilberto Teodoro, the Defense Chief, for president. It was not my endorsement but more like my prediction that he is going to be based on the flawed model of government from Cory's time(include Marcos'1972 onward rule) down to Gloria's today. Thanks to the monster Marcos had created that is an overgrown military, these governments during these periods are corrupt, deceitful and silencer of dissent. Then I read the news titled " Defense Chief Mulls Presidency" and I say "I rest my case".To Erika and believers of Obamania, I am sad to say that the "ground beneath us have not shifted yet".To Rizal's "youth is the hope of the fatherland" I would say to him; " Not yet Rizal, not yet".To all of us I say "Wake up Philippines, smell the coffee".We have an enormous task ahead that is we demand reforming the military. This was first attempted by the RAM boys headed by Honasan and nothing was reformed but their pockets when they were given power, prestige and perks.Where are these leaders now?Your guess is as good as mine.

To repeat what has been said before, Obama 'clicks' because:
A prolific writer and eloquent, he uses words that can turn his listeners into a "mob mentality".Although a radical (his senate voting record is), he talks like a moderate convincing the super rich to support him.A super organizer with all the money to oil his political machine, he attracted the elite Ivy League intellectuals and the mainstream voters.Do you believe we have a leader like that?I do because I believe we are talented too.But here is the thing, do you think our military is non-political like America's?Assuming our guy gets elected as president, what is the chance that eventually he will not turn into another power-grabbing, corrupt, and deceitful leader where military influence is always on the horizon?Folks, can you see the writings on the wall?Almost all our post-Marcos era presidents are decent people but in the end were corrupted and enablers of military abuse and deceit.Do you think our military needs to be reformed and restored to regain our faith in this great institution?I know most of you are good in what you do whether it be at work, sports, or entertainment. We can't do it individually but we can adopt the "Mob Mentally" that we first showed in EDSA1.

The Obama campaign was said to have been financed by contributions coming from the general public, and active support by mass organizations.

May nga nahalal tayo sa Pilipinas sa katulad niyan na paraan, but I think there are not many of them. I'm not campaigning for anybody so I wont mention names. They are exceptions and not the rule, today [sa tanong na mayaman lang ba ang puede manalo sa halalan.]

Indeed Barack Obama is an exceptional character. And I think, so are local names like Panlilio and Padaca.

Pres. Barack Obama pays tribute and respect to HM, King Anthony S. Martin that's why he doesn't aware and concern to what Gloria's approachability with selfish deeds to him when Pres. Obama learned already that she needs HM's money to transfer to their responsibilities without informing ASBLP Group of Companies and Bank of ASBLP, HM, King Anthony and the People at large who frequently prayed for her step down. What a shameless and nonsense leader we have in the name of former Pres. Gloria Macapagal - Arroyo that spending Filipino People's money gained from their blood, sweat and workforce just to visit Pres. Obama for the Money of HM, King Anthony S. Martin without an official invitation from the White House. Shame on Gloria Macapagal - Arroyo.

- Haring Anthony S. Martin

Looking for Obama...

Well, we found out that Obama is not easy to find.
When GMA went to america during campaign period, Arroyo was looking for Obama, the candidate, instead she bagged McCain.
When Arroyo called Obama, the president elect to congratulate what she got was press one, press two and pound to hear your message.
When Gloria made a sidetrip in New York for national prayer with breakfast, instead what she got for breakfast was pancake, coffee and bacon but no Obama.
As consolation she got Hilary.
See Obama is very elusive president.
Arroyo was meeting the losers not the winner.
Now, you are Looking for Obama.
As Obama is hard to find in America, the Philppine Obama we are looking is not only easy to find but nowhere to find.

Let's stick to our locals, not Obama, not Osama, not Rosana but Osana the glory that be and she is Gloria.

PGMA is now in panic where to get the ambitious one trillion and four hundred billion pesos budget.

Sad to say, she has now swallowed the bitter pill of reality that PRESIDENT BARAK OBAMA, an intelligent honest U.S. President when he announce the threat against those government who are known to be corrupt, those who committed widespread human rights violation, those who plunder their country financial resources.

So, where do we go from here? The ghost of Argentina’s financial crisis in the past, may repeat itself here in our country. After it defaults on domestic and international commitment, Argentina’s currency became worthless. It can happen to our country, why not?

And the most we can do is point our forefinger to our face. We, the people are the ones to blame for these mess because we were too coward to discipline our corrupt government. We allowed them, we participated, we laid a blind eyes while our politicians including PGMA plundered our coffers.

As I have mentioned before, we, “Juan de la Cruz” will ultimately get the brunt of all these governmwent abuses. And it is sooner than you expect.

The general public and mass organization only contributed 20% of the total Obama's campaign money of more than $600 million.

But Obama, like many great visionary leaders, tends to exaggerate the contribution of this group because they are the majority.

In reality, the majority supports the stronger candidate that have more money. It still follows the scent of money.

Obama wants the majority to believe that it has power to change.

They do that everywhere telling people they have power.Even in Manila, the special interest group was able to REPLACE TWO PRESIDENTS using "People Power".

Many in the crowd are brain-dead and know nothing. They are there for the money and food providing protection to the moneyed-elite facilitator and agitator.

With that said, do you still think " people power" is technically a reality?Helloooooo???

President OBAMA is a legacy of a person who uses and utilized the power of the internet by advocating Dr Luther Kings I have a Dreamed for Equality in an Egalitarian society, He is a Socialist, it can be done in the philippines, it is being used by former President Erap, the term Erap para Sa Mahirap, even the electronic politician senator trillanes ride along with these notion and the person that has advantage in this manner is also Miss Dinky Soliman for she can pinpoint the real problem of hidden poverty that will really gather millions of votes.

That’s right. 20% while apparently constitute a minor amount, scared the 80% to contribute. Contributing to both sides is one modus of the business class [which I believe is Chinese Filipino culture infused in the Philippines.]

Meanwhile, that the Philippines will progress if we bring in foreign investors, is in fact twisted, corrupt and bankrupt ideology. Facts have shown that nations whose leaders [and peoples] are not ideology bankrupt are those that have advanced. The Americans, the Japanese, the Europeans, the Chinese and yes, some of our neighbors gained progress by self-reliance

Enticing or luring foreign investors into the Philippines, like it is the end of the world for Filipinos, has not worked. It is a myth. Matagal na tayo dyan. Ka-unggoyan, actually. Kung mang-unggoy tayo lubos-lubosin na natin. Why advanced nations open up their economy to foreign investments is because they need to EXPORT their capital and they want everybody do the “same”, open up – globalization. They did not advance because of foreign investments, which in their experience is late-day development.

Now, fact is, we have room for additional 30 and more sugar-ethanol mills in the Visayas, for example. And the figure is nothing because 30 thousand, fully productive, hectares is more than one regular mill can accommodate, actually. And, there will always be a need for more costly energy, garantisado yan. Walang competisyon sa daigdig. And, government is capable of building all them. [Privatize them later if we hate socialism.]

Mga pabigat in the long run.

But that idea, for example, conflicts with the present political-economic powers in the Philippines.

Meanwhile we all freeze and we all sleep habang nagiisip at nananaginip ang iba, na may pumasok at magatasan. No, I’m not talking about ZTE. Ok, the language is obscure; let’s say ma “ahentehan” o kaya maging “industrial” or “business partner”, “good business” by “smart people”.

Let’s see who has got what for 2010. Indeed we are looking for leaders different from all others that came and went! At least people who are not boring, not saying the same boring things, and not doing the same boring failures. A Filipino Obama… [Filipinos dream of Europe, Japan and U.S.A instead of Vietnam and Myanmar, by the way. And if our present leaders cannot get their acts right, I have the feeling hindi malayo ang Pakistan and or the Banana republics]

It is quite impossible to have an elected Obama president in the Philippines even we have one. Not until we CHANGED.

Some of the Filipinos are sellers of vote
therefore judgement is already tainted.

"Utang na loob" is still practice that hinders our judgement. Btw contracts signed under the infuence is null and void. Palusot.

Pag-malinis madaling makita.

Eradicating of fixers in LTO is not enough, in Malacanang also should. Lobbyist and Fixers are too different thing in other country, but in the Philippines, I don't know. Lobbyist is more sosyal ang dating pero pareho lang yon.

The people are confused with so many political parties. Liberal Party and Nationalista Parties are only parties who has commitment and unchanged principle. All the rest are disposable diapers. New President, New political parties. Kung nasaan ang pera doon tayo party!

EDSA 1 was created thru Moral crusade yon po ang DIWA NG EDSA.

Not until we gained it back we can not have an Obama president.

A Strong, Honest Political Party and Not an Obama.

Erika Casas of Ateneo de Manila University said: “….. only a small number of us truly care about the country. …there are those who don’t even have their own opinions because they simply do not care about this country….”

Our real problem here boils down to how we can use that “small number of us” to influence and move the “many that do not care about this country”.

What we are facing today is a social problem brought about by a corrupt political system. If we try to solve this problem through religious or any other means we shall end up like Iran where the religious fundamentalists are running the country.

In a democracy it is only strong, honest political parties that can offer REAL opposition to those that intend to perpetuate the corrupt practices in this society. Honest people must set up their own political parties. It is only honest political parties that can produce honest leaders and bring in honest administrations. Without which it would be useless to talk about CHANGE.

If Erika and her generation can educate and wake those “don’t care” people up, convince them that there is still hope; most importantly, to stir them into action and organize them into a single political party then the situation will change and things will definitely head for the better. The change definitely must come from WITHIN the political system and not from without. The objective of that party is to compete for every open government position on the basis of honesty and transparency, making sure that only honest individuals are elected into office. This may sound like a tall order but that is what the population is clamoring for and that is what is required today.

All past and present movements against corruption failed because they were more civic than political. The sustainability of so-called Moral Force movement is difficult in a society where more than 70% of its members live below the poverty line. Honest leaders today are powerless because they lack the backing of a strong, honest political machine.

Splinter groups such as party-lists have no use because they have their own sectoral interests and can never be broad enough to reflect the sentiments of the entire social spectrum; in fact, many think that the party-list system should be abolished because they are a hindrance to the unification of the people. The Americans have no use for a party- list system because they are confident that they are adequately represented by their congressmen. That was also our system before Marcos devised the Parliament to include the so-called sectoral members.

We must remember that Obama ran under a strong Democratic Party; had Obama ran as an independent candidate, he’d be back in the Senate now warming his seat. A strong and honest political party is the solution and not an Obama.

Filipinos looking for Obama? Another proof of Pinoy's colonial mentality, a primal reason why we are what we are today: miserable for lack of national identity and direction. In our own grounds we have leaders that could be even better than Obama but we do not support them during elections because they do not have money to buy popularity. Obama is sikat because capitalists invest on his charisma and because he is able to portray himself as different.

What is wrong looking for the likes of Barak Obama, if it can save our country from CHARLATAN politicians.

Edcel Lagman is a typical turn coat. Right after he won as Congressman, he abandoned his cause oriented party which was instrumental for his victory.
He sided right-away with PGMA. He even defended PGMA during the two recently empeachment.

Other politicians like Senator Chiz Escudero, Jingoy Estrada, Manny Villar, Juan Enrile, the ASO (Angara, Sotto and Oreta), and Peter Allan Cyatano are good example of undesirable government officials.

How can you trust them, when these people run under the opposition banner, then saddenly, they jump to the otherside.

As of now, a Barak Obama personality is more appropriate for us.

At least, he did not succumbed to the "kahiyaan" appllied by PGMA when she attended a breakfast meeting (though uninvited). Barak Obama unilaterally ignored her.

That is the OBAMA STYLE. "Hindi nagpapadala!"

the last thing we need in the Philippines is an obama or a democrat party, in America, obama and his democrat party, is the foremost promoter of immorality and perversion there, the democrat party is known as the party of perversion as they promote all kinds of evils from abortion to euthanasia to homophilia/homosexuality/sodomy.

and guess what, so does obama. obama and his democrat have no qualms about wasting billions and billions of taxpayers dollar to promote immorality and perversion.

what we need is a moral God-fearing leader, one who will not waste money on promoting evil, one who will obey and follow the Holy Infallible teachings and laws of God. the God of the Holy Bible.

That is one man's opinion.

I guess not everybody would welcome this type of political change. Can we not have our own way of changing our political system not at the expense of other democratic country?
